  1. I'm hoping to find some time to write a few blogs during the off season. If I do, my first blog will be titled: "My Facebook Mystery".
  2. Sounds like a nasty storm is heading toward the northeast/New England. I hope any of you living in that area stay safe and warm.

That doesn't sound good. And, I just heard that Boston may get as much as 25 inches. Yikes!

Hopefully it stays north of us, thankfully we are only in the 3-6 or 4-8 bands (depending on what you read).

My best friend is looking at "24+". I just emailed him some helpful advice: "Don't be a hero. Remember to bend at the knee when lifting large glasses of scotch in your den."

    CHUCKSTRONG

What a great photo! Thank you for sharing. I know how much of an inspiration Chuck has been to me so I can't imagine how awesome it must feel to also be related to one of the most respected coaches in the NFL. COLTSTRONG & CHUCKSTRONG
  4. This is awesome and so great of you to organize a Fanmob for Coach Pagano. I can't be there , but I do hope that you will have some pics to post of the mob.
  5. My daughter is an RN, so we also face the problem of her having to work either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. This year, she works on Christmas Eve so we will be celebrating on Christmas Day. Since no one wants to eat my cooking and I don't want to cook, this will mean a trip to a Chinese restuarant for my family.

  7. I had heard that there would not be a fine. This was a tweet by Mike Chappell: Mike Chappell ‏@mchappell51 NFL will not fine #colts WR reggie wayne for wearing orange gloves in sunday's win vs. GB. appropriate non-call, so to speak.

    Coltstrong Baby

Just had to add a picture of my grandson, Luke. He is 6 months old and has already gone through two major surgeries. But, he continues to smile and fight to survive. Of course, I am biased. But, he is my definition of "Coltstrong".

    My Colt's Coop

Several years ago, we restored an old chicken coop that we use for storage. My husband did all the work, but I added the Colt's window decorations.
  10. That man, ,the one who keeps popping up in the upper right corner, and keeps winking at me through his magnifying glass is starting to give me the creeps.

I don't like him either. Is it an ad strategy to be annoying and hence memorable?

Never seen the guy. I have pop-up's blocked. Not just annoying, but some can be hazardous to your computer. No idea why I haven't seen on tv though - regional?

He has been on the NFLN. I didn't catch much of last night's game, but saw him in several commercials also. However, he leaves his magnifying glass at home when he does the commercials.

  11. A month ago, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a derecho. Now, the radio tells me that we have a 30% of being hit by another one this afternoon. I long to go back to the good old days when I was so blissfully unaware of this cruel trick by mother nature.

scary, hope that doesn't happen.. straight line winds beat up my town pretty good about 15 years ago, it looked like a class 4 hurricane came ashore, scary stuff indeed...never want to see that happen again

  12. Insurance is giving me $28,500.56 to make the needed "super derecho" repairs. Now, the trick is to get all those repairs scheduled and completed.

  14. I'm sitting in the bank today, looking out the window, when I notice a man approaching with a shot gun. Almost wet my capris as I warned the employees. Turned out this guy was transferring his hunting gear from one vehicle to another. Why he chose to park in front of a bank to make this transfer is beyond me.

After the scare wore off, I found it funny also. This was in a small town where things are much more laid back. And, of course, I was the only customer in the bank at the time. As my friends often say, stuff like this could only happen to me.

@MAC The TV my husband blew up or out was "my" little 19" with a built in VCR (I'm still old school). I loved that TV and will be scouring ebay and craigslist to see if I can find another.

Our power was only out for 6 hours this time as the storm was very tame compared to that super derecho.

Sorry shecolt. If it was me, I wouldn't buy a used piece of electronics unless I could try it out first. VCRs don't last forever in the best of circumstances (the head being off a little bit could result in it not working properly for you even if it worked for the previous owner. You can buy new combo vcr/dvd players for reasonable amounts of money, and after getting our modest sized flat screen I wouldn't go back to the old style if you paid me.

  16. I can't answer your questions, but I did want to say that I am also happy to see you here.
  17. Blogs don't have to be Colt's related. So, feel free to talk about Peyton if you wish. Believe it or not, I have a brother who has a home comparable to Peyton's new home. It has an elevator, a panic room, a home theater, a wine cellar, and a sport's room where you can watch TV in the mirror in the bathroom of that sport's room. However, it only has 6 bathrooms. But, there is a "grandchildren's playroom" that is larger than most people's homes.

    I'm Back

If anyone is reading my blog and think it looks strange, that is because I goofed and posted my original blog in the wrong place. I now have my blog posted properly (I think), but didn't want to lose any of the kind comments that all of you have made. So, I just included them in my blog.

    I'm Back

As some of you may have read; Friday, June 29th was my mother’s 91st birthday. The only thing she wanted for her birthday was rain. She got her wish and we did receive 8/10 of an inch of rain that day, but paid a heavy price for the rain. That afternoon, the sky started to look rather ominous; so I turned on my TV to a local radar channel and saw a storm heading our way. This time it didn’t look like it would miss us as it has done so frequently the past few weeks and I was so excited. Finally, RAIN!!! :dancing: Then the winds started to pick up and all kinds of stuff starting flying thr

  21. My son has spent some time in Japan. One of his favorite stories is about how the Japanese have a love affair with mayonnaise. There are mayonnaise based pizzas, mayonnaise milkshakes, and even mayonnaise margaritas. I agree that the best time to eat Japanese food here is at lunchtime. I always order the lunchbox just because I think the box is so much fun and always wish I could take it home with me.
  22. Ugh! There is a dead skunk in the middle of the road right in front of my house and the aroma is permeating each and every room. Last week, it was a live bat in my bedroom. Now, it's a dead skunk. I'm wondering what pleasures are in store for me next???

you have such a blessed live with nature. if you listen to Bob and Tom on the radio and comedian Tim Bedore, it is an "animal conspiracy"

Gramz, I did forget about that mouse. What seemed so horrific to me at the time now pales in comparison to a bat and a skunk.

you'd need to be pretty far south to have a vampire bat (blood diet) and usually they are only eating live stock and out door critters... .personally I love bats, but not in the house of course, sometimes they just get messed up in pursuit of bugs and looking for a cozy home. Brown bats where I am at can eat their weight in bugs each night, and I appreciate their efforts! good luck finding the entry point so you can close it up.
