  1. I guess your memory is pretty short or you don't know the history of Al Davis. Yes he did make some bad choice in his later years but that can never over shadow what the Raider were before. He took what was thought to be a has been QB (Plunkett) and won a super bowl with him. He is also directly responsible for the success of John Madden. So you can sit back and judge Al Davis for the bad times but it wasn't always that way. There is a thing called respect, would it be possible for you to show some?

Exactly how is giving a completely honest appraisal of his dreadful performance since 2002 doing any disrespect for his earlier career?  How many coaches being hired and fired in a calendar year is too many?  How many draft pick busts, including the biggest bust in history Jamarcus Russell, does it take?  How many hideous trades, especially with New England are enough?  If he is going to smile at anything he would smile at seeing his son finally undoing the damage and restoring the team to its former winning ways.

  2. Have anyone notice the two teams that started deflategate, the Ravens and Colts are two of those teams having a HORRIBLE season?? While the Pats haven't missed a beat?? Hmmmmmm, maybe an act from the football Gods???

Or a new way to cheat

  3. Why would he be smiling?  He was the one who made one horrible decision after another which turned them into the mess they've been for 12 years.  All this success shows is that they can be good again now that he is no longer making any kind of decisions for them.

  4. He's struggling and IMO is playing through an injury. He's not been good but half a season doesn't wipe out the 3 solid years he has had carrying a flawed football team.  Manning had rough patches along the way in his career as well, including a 6 INT game.  He also had a several game stretch in 2010 where he was awful with 11 picks in 3 games and Bob Lamey called for his benching on the radio not knowing he was live lol.  It happens, and i don't care who you are if you are a QB playing with a significant injury it can affect your play.  Just look at Manning in the playoffs last year.

Surprisingly, Manning had a higher passer rating (49.4) in that 2007 San Diego game than Rivers did (30.6).

  5. Denver still has issues covering TEs and quick throws...NE excels at those...and NEs pass rush is legit and cover well enough to take PEytons favorite targets away...I don't think it will be even close. Nobody is as talented or good as NE in the AFC at this stage.....injuries aside its them and Cincy and a big gap to the rest. They could get upset but I doubt it...GB would be my choice to win it all but they keep losing guys to injury...until someone beats the champs they are still the favorite in my eyes...but Denver is not a threat...they need an upset to get to the SB...they aren't going into foxboro and winning.

I'll double down.  The Denver offense will look better on Nov 29 than the Patriot offense.

  6. With Carolina tonight and Denver next week, the Colts may be looking up.   They have the Falcons after Denver.    Freeman may run for 200 plus.

A win tonight is very important.

I like the Colt secondary vs the Panther receivers very much.  If the front seven can generate some pressure I think Cam could be in for a long night.

  7. But when you look at the past games...he can make the throws 'sometimes' which indicates to me that he's unsure of where everybody is going to be. He has a new TE and a new slot receiver.. Most of his interceptions have come on throws to Thomas and Sanders. so maybe he is targeting them too much..

....I'm surprised Owen Daniels and Jordan Norwood (slot) haven't done better but its only 6 games. Julius Thomas missed a lot of games last year. They really miss Wes Welker in the slot......

Daniels has been playing hurt....so have both guards..that's what gets better in the bye.

/// We all remember the 2010 stretch where Peyton threw 11 interceptions in 4 games...He got past it..

..but all the really big games are still to come....Green Bay, the Colts, Pitt, NE, Cincy and 2 with San Diego (both in the last 5 weeks)

This is one of the biggest problems that Kubiak has caused.  He has completely disrupted Manning's preparation routine which leads to not knowing where people are going to be.  The more he tries to protect Manning the more he destroys his rhythm.

Hopefully, they are undoing all of the damage done and returning to what worked so well for them in the past.  Put Manning in shotgun, let him call the plays at the line of scrimmage based upon what the defense is doing, and that offense will look better in every way.  Basically, Kubiak has taken away everything that made Manning great and that is why he is having trouble.

  8. Kubiak is the one to blame not Manning.  He is the one forcing a blocking scheme which none of the linemen are prepared to use.  He is the one who is forcing a running offense on a team without reliable every down backs or proper linemen.  He is the one who disrupted Manning's preseason preparation by putting him on a pitch count.  He is the one who has stripped Manning of the primary thing which made him the best of all time, his ability to dissect situations and call all of the plays at the line of scrimmage.  All huddling up is accomplishing is allowing the defenses to swap in fresh personel, something which almost never happened when Manning was calling the plays at the line.

Kubiak has completely destroyed the Denver offense and Manning is being unfairly blamed for it.

  9. He still has a better arm and accuracy than brees.

Kind of unfair comparing his arm to a guy with a bad rotator cuff

Good points here. I don't see how the Indy offense and Kubiak offense can realistically be integrated. The run game is much harder to defend from under center than shotgun as well. They had Manning in the shotgun a lot in Kubes offense as a compromise I think and it make it ineffective and as you say the roll outs and PAs are predicated off of it as well and the deep throws. I think it is maybe too simple to just chalk the whole thing up to Manning. Some has to do with him but a lot has to do with the personnel as well. It almost feels like Elway said I am going to hire Kubiak and we will just run his offense no matter what guys we have out there - from Manning who is not mobile and likes the shotgun, to a poor Oline, to an average RB.

I think Kubiak has some embarrassing photos in his safe
