Rubbish. The guy has recanted. I don't believe the recant. I don't believe everything he said either but he didn't make it all up. The truth will out eventually and it won't be pretty. Like I said, I don't dispute what Peyton says and I look forward to him issuing a lot of libel writs. Al Jazeera have lawyers too you know and this was a serious piece and I'm sure they would not have broadcast it if they felt they would expose themselves to expensive lawsuits...

Sure they would if they determined that the benefits of doing so (such as more attention than they have received in over a decade) outweighed the potential legal costs.

National Enquirer gets sued all the time and just treats it as a cost of doing their business.

None of them are being fingered in a drug scandal. This is all Peyton and the other athletes named.

Fair enough.  Now, imagine that some guy who had been a summer intern at some rehab clinic Tom Brady attended two years after he had attended it gave a story with absolutely no corroborating evidence to the Weekly Star and then recanted everything as soon as the story was published.

How would you react to such a story?

And the reporters have their side too. I suggest you read up today as much information has surfaced. This is going to be muddy for awhile as this thing gets sorted out ...

Hopefully, they will be able to offer their side under oath when Manning sues Al Jazeera, Huffington Post, the reporters, Sly, and everyone else involved in this outlandish character assassination.

Whats the deal with some drama over the OT coin toss?

It was wierd.  The Patriots won the toss and decided to kick but they also want to choose the direction.  Had they deferred instead of saying they wanted to kick they could have picked the direction.

Eli blows Aikman away in terms of stats. And Eli did not have dynastic team comprised of one of the best Olines, RB and WR in NFL history to get his rings. I believe Aikman deserves to be in the Hall but by the same token so does Eli more so.

Aikman was All Pro twice and has twice as many Pro Bowls as Eli does.

I actually agree, I think Ben is better too but some people even question whether or not he is a HOFamer is why I brought him up.

I'd put him on the bubble but if he continues putting up 4000 yard seasons I think it looks good for him.  He needs more Pro Bowls and an MVP couldn't hurt.  The fact that they are still winning even though the defense is a shadow of what it used to be is a huge plus for him.

Liberalism and Marxism is not the same thing. Not even in the slightest.

And it IS sexual assault. If a dude sat on my face with his pants down when I was tending to his ankle that is SEXUAL ASSAULT.

Are some of you serious? I am kinda getting freaked out here.

Even if it is not sexual assault it is clearly assault and should not be tolerated

All right I won't reply anymore. You asked and I respect that. Honestly I have only replied to people at times who give me honest long replies and not gifs, one liners or emoticons and think thats substance that I am going to get worked up over. I am not THAT easy.

This is a hot hot topic right now too all around the net and with sports fans. Even if Peyton gets off and nothing happens people WILL talk about this. And yes there will be opinions and thoughts that are not pro Peyton. Since a lot of people have speculated now for a long time that he has been taking things for years to come back from some serious injuries. And some physical signs also show some too evidence too with him.

And it's not even me being some hater either. If even Luck was outed in rumors to be taking something and it was against the rules I would feel let down by him as well.

So, even if there is no evidence whatsoever that he did anything wrong we should brand him with a Scarlet HGH on his forehead forever just because of some crackpot story?

Some of you are so far gone into Peyton......I think it's a waste of time to even try to have a conversation. It's over here. I have seen enough.

Peyton farts rainbows and never did a bad thing in his life and these are all terror related news sources. And all Patriots fans have this seething agenda to bring Manning down too by posting links they see in the news.

I am just at a loss for words at times. It can almost be cult like.

    1) The reports were from extremely dubious outlets.

    2) The person making the original allegation has recanted his story

    3) The person making the allegation was not at the clinic as the same time as Manning and no evidence of them ever having been together has been offered.

    4) So far not one scintilla of evidence corroborating these reports has been produced

How much more evidence do you need that this whole thing is just a huge hoax?

What cheating ?  Oh, you mean the NFL's made-up claims that have been negated by science.

They have not been negated at all.  The NFL, the only relevant authority in the matter, has not retracted a single claim made in the Wells report and they fully intend to appeal the ridiculous decision to void the suspension.

Congrats; since the Saints Super Bowl is "tarnished" by Bountygate, now Peyton is forever tarnished for being a juicer.

All three of us, including the Pats who are also "tarnished" we're one big happy dysfunctional family now.

So, just being accused by a terrorist news outlet and a radical leftist blog, with absolutely no corroborating evidence, is enough to brand someone a cheater for life?

Your 6 AFC playoff QBs right now are:

    Tom Brady
    Brandon Weeden
    Alex Smith
    Ryan Fitzpatrick
    AJ McCarron
    Brock Osweiler

Osweiler will not be the Denver quarterback.  I look for another bad game from him on Monday.

I say yes. He beat the Patriots twice in the big game, once when they were undefeated. His Playoff record is Good besides those wins as well. In the end his stats will good enough too. His stats are better than Joe Namath's and Joe is in with only 1 SB win.

Namath is in for the historical significance of the win which proved the AFL teams could compete after the merger between the AFL and NFL.  The Giant victories over the Patriots were impressive but they are in no way as historically significant as the Jet victory over the Colts.

The Giant defense was the primary reason why they won those two ball games.

Yes, we are very much enjoying this.  lol. IF he took HGH in 2011, what's to say he has not been taking drugs his whole career? Calls into question everything he has ever accomplished.

Yes, we understand that you want to deflect attention away from the 4 asterisks.

Yes, it was.  Just because you didn't read the documents doesn't make it any less so.

    Read the amicus curiae yourself.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/12/17/third-party-brief-in-brady-case-focuses-on-integrity-of-sport/

    And this one as well.

    http://www.boston.com/sports/football/2015/11/06/deflategate-class-scientists-let-the-air-out-the-nfl/FNKRK137LUi8LtkUoGwxLL/story.html

Both articles are the most up-to-date, and destroy all such evidence.

But Jvan, thanks for proving my point .  Mort was wrong on Brady.  Fact.  But now he's right on Peyton.

None of which should be at all relevant to the case.  It is no different than the way half of the fans disagree with every penalty flag and sometimes even come up with elaborate defenses of their opinion.  In the end only one opinion matters, that of the referee.

In the case of Brady's suspension only one opinion should matter, the commissioner.  If the Patriots disagree with then they are certainly within their right to call for a motion to replace him or (even better) establish a clearly defined set of penalties to be levied in cases like this.  By taking this simple disciplinary matter to the courts Brady has undermined the authority of the commissioner.
