They looked good. But I think the run game made it look better than it was. Luck was stil getting pressured when he dropped back to throw. So run blocking looked great. Pass block needs work.
-
DHB had a few big catches. And drew some penalties as well.
-
I think we have the talent. I'm concerned about containing Kaepernick. And concerned that some of Andrew's poor decisions might burn us against this squad. But we can beat these guys.
Just reminded me of the Herb Brooks speech. These guys might beat us 9/10 but tonight is our time.

hes looks overjoyed lol
He was probably up most of the night, just a little tired. Wait until he meets the locker room, he'll love it.

We threw plenty when Edge was in his prime, I see it being like that. Our game will be balanced and we will take advantage at what works best with what we are given.

Well, there is a rational response.....
And a just reply.

When Trent blows up and becomes the star that many including numerous NFL GM's know he can be. I don't want to hear one * word out of any of you who don't like this pickup. We traded a high teens/20's 1st round pick next year for a TOP RB in this league that is extremely young. Sure many of you undervalue the RB position which is reasonable considering 99% are average/mediocre. Trent is in that 1% thats special. Sure we could have drafted a young OL next year, but OL takes time to develop. This made us better now, for great value. What you are witnessing in something that does not happen very often. A QB/RB duo that are both tops at their positions, and both will reap the rewards for it. These is always FA to get ESTABLISHED offensive linemen who will minimize our risk. I agree with anyone who said that some of you overate picks, because you do. I want the proven commodity who just so happens to be only in his 2nd year.
Literally haven't played a game yet with him on this roster and all people can do is cry cry cry. Some of you will never be happy in this entire world no matter what happens, and I pity you for it.

We have plenty of talent to be Championship contenders. One could easily argue we have more talent on this team than any team we had when Manning was here. I don't understand you folks saying 3 years blah blah blah. Stop believing what you see on paper and what analysts say. This team is capable of beating any team in the league. We are not the jags. We have tons of pieces around us. We just need to get hot like 98% of the teams that win superbowls.

Its gotta be an OL or a TE. Maybe a RB? Any notable free agents out there?

49ers defense isn't a stonewall. We can score on them. We have to pass the ball, and we will score. Why does everyone think they're so damn invincible. I just don't get it. What I've so far this season they are obviously beatable. Seattle scored 29 on them, GB threw at will on them. I know both of those games have a lot of different variable but Wilson was 8/19 with 142 yards? Luck can throw better than that.
I can confidently say that regardless of the team that the Colts are playing, this team can win. They showed it all of last year that they can fight their way back into games and not give up. Even when they are down by 20 at half. Too bad most of these "fans" give up before the game is even started.
-
Listen. Their defense isn't that spectacular. GB scored on them, Sea scored on them, Ravens scored on them. I think our offense can absolutely score on them. I posted in another thread that they're giving up on avg 30+ points a game. I believe we can make some plays and this will definitely be closer than some think.
-
Terrible loss. We got through preseason healthy now theyre dropping like flies. Hey this calls for me 3WR sets at least.
-
honestly i think Seattle has the team to go undefeated. I think this Seattle team could prob beat the 72 Dolphins, they are a complete team offensively, defensively and special teams. they are scary good. so if we went to seattle and lost 50-3 I wouldnt say we would go 1-15, not after losing to Seattle
While I think they are good, I don't think their offense is that good. They have a great running game, but Wilson is still going through growing pains and their WR's aren't much to balk at.
-
Idk if anyone realizes but SF had averaged 30+ points allowed over their last 8 games. So much for a stellar defense.
They are good not invincible.

Love this thread. As you stated there were a ton of positives to take away from this game. Sure we lost and have things to work on, but we saw improvement in many areas. I don't think we are a bad team, I think we will win some games that people don't expect us too. It's not all doom and gloom from here folks. We're headed on the up, and have a lot of good football left in us.

I think a lot of the pieces are there for the rivalry to develop. Two young rising teams, with young QB's finding a way into their own. Esp if the games we play are always as close as they were last season.
-
Geno got sacked 4 times and hit 9. If that happened to Luck people would be freaking out.
I posted that early on because they were playing well, but Geno caused a lot of the pressure himself if you watch. He wasn't stepping up into the pocket and letting it develop around him. Any sign of pressure he'd sprint to eh outside. Buy yes by the end it seemed the Jets Oline was burnt.
-
Is it me or has the Jets oline played fantastic?
-
Ballard was incredible on Blitz pickup that game. I was very impressed with him in that aspect.
-
24 now right? I just turned 23 in August. Here Andrew is a year older and the starting QB for the Colts. What did I do wrong in my life? ;)

People must realize that not only is Irsay the owner of this team, but hes one of the teams biggest fans. He's there after every game in the locker room with those guys. He's made countless hard decisions for the betterment of this organization. He can voice any opinion he wishes, and to me the things he says don't seem to have negative effects.
Also, his tweets are currently blowing up on ESPN & NFL twitters as well as NFL.com
-
I love that Irsay comes out and says things like this. He's right. Do you honestly think these tweets have any effect on the coaching and aren't telling them what they already know?
Having an owner keeping the fanbase in the loop is fun.
