*note to March 8th - get here*
Sincerely, me
-
to be fair, he only did it twice.
Marvin vs Deltha= 2TDs
Marvin vs everyone else(15games)=0TDs
Referring to the 06 game against the Bengals - it wasn't just O'Neal, but he had 3 scores. just having fun.
-
To quote the poet Sir Doug Heffernan
Regurgitatiooooooooooon
cue scene where Cleveland's house front falls apart - no no no noooooo
-
Saw him play a couple games at O.Co - my neighbor doesn't want to lose him, and it's understandable. He's decent.
-
All I know is this - If Manning is back with the Colts, and both the Colts and Steelers make the playoffs, with James Harrison restructuring his deal, we'd better have two guys on him, but no less than 4 commas (sarc)
-
Like the first image on google.
That's no smile. That's the - "you see me torch Deltha O'Neal? watch and i'll do it again! and again!" - evil Marv stare.

In my experience, people love being told to "shut it," so this should go well.
huge fan of your avatar. maybe we can strap some pads and a helmet on that thing.
-
This is merely a reference post to look back on in the future.
The Rules.
1. You write "Team Peyton"...then Shut it
2. You write "Team Luck"...then Shut it
3. No Opinions whatsoever...So Shuty
Ready Go.
I do enjoy the Kevin James reference
BleedingBlue is the official president of Team Both. I'm on board... My contribution is in the mail.
Same.

i hear an echo.

If he signed that original contract after March 13th 2011... which I guess pegged this coming March 13th as the start of the 2012 "league year"... then you are right.
If he signed his original contract before March 13th 2011 then that would have dated it in the prior "league year"... if I'm understanding all this lawyerly crap correctly.
I guess we'll find out... but thanks for posting that.
here's your answer.. debate away

If people want to explain their thoughts, well ... You don't have to look to far or hard around here to find some.
Indubitably, friend.

In interpret the possible answers as falling into 3 categories:
Yes, No, DK.
There are 2 answer options for each of yes and no.
People who voted no, I interpret as they do not think PM will be with the Colts.
People who voted, I hope so, but don't think he will, also don't think PM will be with the Colts.
Hence, there are 83 votes that represent people who do not think PM will be with the Colts.
Similarly, there are 2 answer option for yes.
People who voted yes, I interpret as they do think PM will be with the Colts.
People who voted I hope not, but think he will, also think that PM will be with the Colts.
Hence, there are 47 votes that represent people who do think PM will be with the Colts.
And there are 9 votes that are clueless.
I don't see that as a split poll.
Precisely. The ongoing results point out what your post said. I wanted to give the voters a bit more to work with than just 'yes and no'.
Yes being I hope he does and think he will, No being I hope he doesn't and don't think he will.

I think they all just need to sit down and watch Remember the Titans and We are Marshall, tear up a little, no hugging, and get this going.

Manning-gate for sure
As far as that video, the only issue I had was the comment that there are a lot of changes in Indy and none of them good.
really? NONE?
Yeah, that irked me as well. i did the good old AltF4 on it.
On a side note - I want to do a nice write up on RCA (the tv), Georgia, and the Colts. Where can/should I post that?
-
I'm going to get my sports news someplace other than ESPN, and will get it when something ACTUALLY HAPPENS! What a novel idea, huh?
i had quite a busy weekend, and I was headed to check out highlights from the great Pacer game against the Bobcats. I walked away from my lappy, and the video started playing (i must have clicked it absentmindedly, as my touchpad is like a cat on fire. i hear schefter's voice and steelers woes, and then it turned to the colts. by that time my hands were tied. aye.. too late.

I don't know if the link works, and if this is duplicate, please delete. Watch the conversation. The young lady in the middle merely starts the conversation - so don't mind her. However, after Schefter talks a bit about the Steelers, Tim Hasselbeck mentions the Colts and FA matters. At no point does TH mention Robert Mathis - however - AS feels it necessary to say "You mentioned Robert Mathis.." - umm.. no, he didn't.

My stance - I am a Colts fan through and through. Do I want Peyton back? Sure - if he's healthy. I would hate to see him get hurt or play less than he's capable of. Do I want Luck on this team? Yes, I feel he is our future. More importantly, it would be my hope that the media would just start reporting the facts instead of putting words in each other's mouths. They have already sold PM out the front door and out of town, but to state something that was never said? Come on, have some class.
-
People voted for that? What?
Had to be fair and put that in as an option. I'm sure there's a reason for their choice.
-
I found some solace in this part of the article -
Irsay said he does not believe Manning has ever intended to force the issue of the $28 million option bonus being paid before he has proven he'll be healthy enough to play next season...."That's the last he'd want to do for this team, put us in that kind of salary cap situation,'' Irsay said. "He wants to come back and he wants to win. I should say I assume he wants to come back. With Peyton, sometimes you never know. But that's why we're going to have a meeting in a few days. I think he has some real comfort in the idea of finishing his career here, but I think he's conflicted perhaps given the circumstances. We'll find out soon.''
Yeah, that 28MM isn't going anywhere but away. Go Colts.
-
I don't the demand for nose tackles will be very high this year. Few teams are switching to 3-4s, and only Pittsburgh needs a replacement.
And I think you'll see Pittsburgh going after a RB in the first round.
-
I think Alameda would be there later in the second. I think the colts need to find ways to acquire multiple early draft pics. I would trade down..
Here's an e-mail snippet I got from his brother -
"Alameda’s down in Southern Cal with his agent working out in the facilities that they have for the guys who have been invited to the NFL Combine next week. As of now they have him possible late first round early second or even third depending on which team and the demand for the position. Doesn’t matter to me which round, but GOD willing it would be nice to see him get drafted and watch him play on Sundays..."
-
"Hey John,
Hope all is well. Alameda Ta’amu is the youngest brother of eight in my family. How’d you hear about Alameda?
Maaka."
-
I am friends with this guy's dad. Nice family.
Correction - his older brother.. lol
-
I think for Alameda Ta'amu, you meant to type 340 instead of 240 lbs . Just imagine a 240 lbs guy being the NT in a 3-4...
I don't think we will sign that many FAs
yeah he's 340. big dude.
-
2. DE/NT Alameda Ta'amu, Washington
6'3 240 lbs
Ta'amu will need to work on his stamina to become a great nosetackle, but he has incredible athleticism and size. I think he could start out like BJ Raji did in Green Bay and play defensive end. I feel like it would help his development while putting another large man on your DL.
I am friends with this guy's dad. Nice family.
Marvin Harrison Or Hines Ward?

The shootout was '05 - I remember that one.. Carson and Peyton lit it up.
No worries. I wish I had a panda dog.
