I live in California and I can tell you that Oakland fans are obnoxious. Niner fans used to be, but they've calmed down a tad lately. There's practically no such thing as a Charger fan anymore. I'm waiting to see if the Rams develop a new following among the locals. I live on the central coast, so I'm smack dab in the middle of different fan territories. The funny thing is, people around here aren't used to seeing Colts gear and they seem kinda shocked when they see me. I haven't had anybody try to start a fight with me yet. If they did, it will probably come from an Oakland fan.
I've been to the 3 Colts-Raiders games and others out in Oakland since '06. The tailgating is incredible, and the only (few) issues I've encountered are with drunk fans - one in particular who yelled an obscenity in my ear after the game in 2010, and other Raider fans were quick to surround and protect me while giving that dude the right-act. I've always had my Manning/Luck jerseys in full view over the years. Otherwise, I've experienced comedic ribbing, an amazing fan base, and a great football game experience. Side note - I have not sat in the black hole - lol.

LOL! Yea i dont care. Im gonna go in my Colts gear too. I was joking about the Raiders thing. Aint no way ima waste my money on that. But by experience at the Chargers game, the fans are so annoying and try to pick fights with you after the game. I can only imagine its what the Raider fans did to them. So the Raiders stadium will definitely be worse...
I went to the 2007 and 2010 games at Oakland. There were a couple crazies, but the majority of fans were very cool and welcoming. These are two QBs worth watching, and Carr is a stand-up guy like Luck. My neighbor is a die-hard Raider fan and season ticket holder, so I get more grief from him than others :-) hoping to go this year, as he plans on taking his family.

Or Chuck and Ryan could work together like Tom and Tex... Get my drift? It's possible! I just don't know if the patience is there on the part of the ownership..

Bring Pags back, fire Grigs. I love how the Star painted that the team went 5-3 with Luck hurt and gave that to Grigs.. That clubhouse is tight-lipped aside from TY venting a bit - draft better, draft right.

Fingers crossed! :-)

Sad fact is, it doesn't come down to this. If we beat Houston, we still have to win 1 more. If we beat Houston and lose out, we're 7-9. If they win out, they're 8-8.

I'm glad we beat the Jags, and I am super excited to finally see a game on the west coast!

There's a student in my youth band who is a senior. He was declined by Stanford but was accepted by Cornell. He's waiting to hear back from Harvard and Yale. Along with having a plus 4.0 gpa, he shreds on guitar, raps (makes his own stuff up), plays good baseball, and is involved in so many activities it blows my mind. He's the goofiest kid I know, and he's a great person, too. Add on that his major in college will be engineering - Some people are just gifted.

I don't know why they wouldn't keep him and run a wildcat type thing on third and short. If he only has to pick up 2 or 3 yards I think he could do it almost every time. I have no idea what he makes so maybe it's too expensive to keep Tebow and Manning but Tebow is one heck of an athlete. He has to find a job somewhere you would think.
I do agree with you and definitely wrote the song with pure humor in mind. The Broncos can benefit from keeping him.

While I voted No, I do wish the best for Peyton. Already have my Broncos / Raiders tickets. And I'll have my Colts Thanksgiving weekend tickets soon enough (pending a home game!!)

So is San Fran - whoops!
Eggs, meet basket..

To the tune of 'Candle in the Wind'
I wrote it (changed the lyrics) tell me what you think.. :-)
Goodbye Tim Tebow
Though we never thought you could throw
You had the speed of a running back
But your passes were too short
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they all Tebow’d in vain
They put you on the market
And they made you change your team
chorus
And it seems to me you were a Bronco
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to pass to
When the O-line caved in
And I would have liked to have seen you
Complete a slant pattern pass
Your job in Denver's over now
Manning’s now the man
The media was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Manning is a superstar
And a trade is the price you pay
And when you Tebow’d
Oh the press they hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Manning was replacing you
[repeat chorus]
Goodbye Tim Tebow
Though we never thought you could throw
You had the speed of a running back
But your passes were too short
Goodbye Tim Tebow
From the fans at Invesco Field
Who see you as more than a running back
Except when Peyton takes the field
Be gentle!

At the risk of sounding over-dramatic, SF could be one of the most dominant teams ever assembled. Instant win, just add Manning.
Manning, Willis, Gore, Davis, Moss, Crabtree, Gholston, Rogers, Manningham. Forget the Triplets. Harbaugh is gonna be like the octomom of the NFL.
Hilarious. I will be going to at least 1 game in San Fran if he signs there. My bro in law is a huge 49ers fan in Fairfax. He is on pins and needles!

I hope Manning is prepared to run the 40, bench 225 lbs and do all the other combine drills so Denver can see he's been working hard since being drafted.
"Hi, I'm Peyton Manning, and you can, too."
-
well the good news is we wont play peyton until next year if he signs with the broncos.
This is true whether either team makes the playoffs or not.
-
You think he's had a "hey linebacker friend, hit me as hard as you can" moment?
jesting.

Yeah, I listen to 1070 sometimes as well, but I've had Sunday ticket since buying my house in 2001. The price has been climbing and I really can't afford it by most definitions, but I thought that the opportunity to root for a QB like Manning was a rare (possibly unique) opportunity and that I would regret missing it. Last season was a nightmare, and I regret not cancelling it. THIS season might make up for that if I get still enjoy Manning and to watch the "new" Colts from day one as well. I didn't have that opportunity when Manning joined the team - only seeing the Jets games and whatever made national tv. Sunday ticket is terrific - aside from the fact that they don't repeat anything. I can DVR a second game, but one of the best parts about the possibility of Peyton going west is those 4pm starts. I'd hate to watch one game and find out the scores of a second game I'm taping.
I definitely get that. $339 on my PS3 is steep. If he heads to Denver, I'm headed to the Oakland game. If he goes to TN, I'm out of luck (I'm not flying down to San Diego). If here were to have chosen the Dolphins, Thanksgiving weekend could have been it (coming home, and 'rumor' has the Dolphins in town). Doesn't matter anyways, as I will be going to that game - mark it.
I'm not a big fan of all the 10am game starts, but such is life.
My neighbor will be so peeved if Manning signs with Denver. LOL.

I don't want to spend the day sitting in front of the PC, but I have to keep running back to this. Of all the available teams, I'd be thrilled if he went to the Broncos (and relieved if it's not the Titans).
I just "found" this radio station last night, ironically following a link to a related blog that another member posted. The strange this is that last night they had a Denver Nuggets game on, which previously I had to go through nba.com to find. I don't quite understand that - you would expect it to be blocked.
There will be a certain level of efficiency for me if Peyton goes to Denver, since the Nuggets have been my second favorite NBA team since the Knicks sent most of my favorite players to them last year.
I put the 1070 app on my iPad - Didn't miss a Colts game last year. Might even get sunday ticket this year.

Schefter says we got him for 3 years! I'll wait for the confirmation..
-
Mine was Kelvin Hayden's INT return for a TD in SB 41.

We carry on. This is insane, but it will work out. We root for our boys no matter what.
