i feel very relieved now that i've read this, thank OP....
btw I'm curious, did brady get such attention as manning is getting and what was the actual injury that brady had? I'm asking because it seems like the so many people, not just in indianapolis, are worried for manning and i don't remember brady getting this much coverage back when he was injured...seems like an american hero is going away forever

i just checked and our pass defense was pretty good IMO...we were 13th in the league last year, just behind steelers...that is pretty good if not great!

Have you even watched our pass defense? If you're depending on that part of our team to win the game, im afraid you're going to be very disappointed.
you never know, its the opener,defense is getting lit up by everyone, there is some very high emotion going on within these players...they're gonna play for respect so you never know....

should be the first priority am i right? i know it won't be easy but lets take a look...
-jags now have a rookie QB with no experience + terrible defence, a coach who I'm guessing is being cornered by his own team BUT they do have MJD who always seems to have big games against us
-titans do have a solid veteran QB in hasselbeck but he is certainly not one to put fear in the hearts of opposing defenses, chris johnson may be the only player who can put up numbers BUT our speedy defense is more than capable of stopping him.
-texans might be our biggest challenge with schaub, A.johnson and foster but again, they have a very weak passing D, collins will do fine in game 1, freeney and mathis usually find a way to put pressure when needed but i believe its going to be our corners and safeties who will win the game for us. Powers, bullitt and thomas will have a great game, although i do think johnson will give them a bit of a hard time covering him since we have a disadvantage at the height.

i don't think he'll be cut but he will be a 3rd string back for this year I'm guessing. With the solid production of carter and evans, i expect to see him probably in games that have already been won before second half ...

its the same old story every year. The so called "experts" almost always tell us that the colts are done, they're window is closing, PM is getting older, bad defense and so on but this team proves them wrong EVERY year. Been to the playoffs a record 9 times ( am i right ?) Even tho we've only one Super Bowl, thats still a great achievement. So again it will happen this year, even with the neck injury, PM will play like he always does but this year WE ARE CHAMPIONS! NO DOUBT!

let painter run things first 6 games, then pm comes in , wins 10 consecutive games and we make the playoffs... thats how the colts have done it the last few years....lol

donald brown just seems to be an average runner, he doesnt show any unique skills when running with the ball , when i see players like addai and carter, they run fiercely but also with flair, they seem to have that certain ability to make defenders miss or juke em out...unfortunately DB doesnt have it, he is straight up an avg player , cut him or trade him for a pick , w/e we can get

i saw that, they called 2 consecutive penalties on vaughn, then the camera cut to caldwell who was really fuming, called chip off the field, thanks to his stupidity, the packers got a TD and won the game...dumb dumb dumb plays, he is gone!

he's definitely NOT missing the opener, he said it himself, he has not missed a game since he was 13 ( just a guess maybe?) and he is not going to let his ironman streak die this soon...he's starting!

well we all know that texans will most likely give the ball to foster and let him run all day, he'll be looking to prove that last year wasn't just a fluke, so if we can shut him OR their QB down, its our game to win. Seems easy when talking about it but I trust our defence will come up big.

the problem lies with collins, it just doesnt seem like he wants to play for the love of the sport but came back because of the money...if it were up to me i would let painter play , so what if we get a miserable season at least we'll have a high draft pick and painter will get the experience he desperately needs. When peyton does retire, we'll maybe have a good QB for the next decade!
