Okay screw the NFL. I am done for the season.

NBA full time for me from now on this year.

This is completely a sham job.

Just because it was the pats? Short term memory? It happened to Calvin Johnson few years back. So you weren’t upset all this time and now you are upset about it now?

    Just saying.

I'm waiting for the next story about how Luck was near death at one point in his recovery.

Technically being behind that o-line every week is a near death experience.

Patriots made a lot of "win now" moves this off-season despite the fact that they are SB champs.

Signed Gilmore, Traded the farm for Brandin Cooks.

I'm guessing it will pay off for them.  But it also makes me wonder why they are making all the win now moves.  They've never acted like that before.

Perhaps Brady communicated that this is his last season and he wants to go out with one more ring and Belichek is trying to absolutely sure that happens.

Cooks is more of a replacement plan for Amendola & Edelman as they are getting older.

Amendola is injury prone and Edelman has been banged up.

This is a great move for the Saints. Brandin Cooks has been the most overrated receiver on our team since 2014 and last year he turned into a diva. Cooks had one game where he had zero passes thrown to him after the Rams double teamed him and took him out of the game. After that game, he threw a big fit in the press demanding to have balls thrown to him, so the next game (Detroit) our game plan was to get him the ball and we ended up losing that game where our offense was shut down. Cooks was targeted over 10 times in that specific game and we didn't score 20 points as the Lions seemed to know right away we were keying on him too much.

Cooks is a decent receiver only within in the slot. The Saints tried everything to make him a Jack of all trades type receiver like they used Colston for years, but Cooks never worked out. He's bad as a deep threat, he's even worse on end around trick run plays where he averaged a whooping 3.5 yards. His biggest problem is in coverage getting taken down by bigger defenders. If Cooks can't outrun a defender down the stretch, chances are he isn't going to catch that ball in contested man on man coverage. I don't know how NE plans to use him, but Cooks is deadly in the slot and just that. As long as they keep him there, he should be useful for them.

The Saints made the right move, and I couldn't be happier with getting draft picks. Last year Cooks was completely outplayed by rookie Michael Thomas who showed many signs of a vintage Marques Colston. My guess is that they will move Thomas as the new #1 receiver after how impressive he was last year. Willie Snead is staying and turned out to be a great find with his blocking abilities. The only weak link in the Saints offense is tight end Coby Fleener who often drops passes, but I am hoping with the return of Curtis Johnson at receiver's coach, maybe Fleener can take a step forward this year.

Despite criticisms to his behavior in recent times, Cooks will definitely be missed in N.O. as a fan favorite. Seen many #10 jerseys in the past year. Thanks for the memories.

You forget that his attitude will be left at the door when he walks through the NE office, if he starts acting up BB will simply bench him. No one is more important than the team, a lot of people forget that.

  5. Let's discuss this...these are just few...

    I think the winners are:

Jaguars, for picking up a very good corner back and adding Calais Campbell, their defense is gonna be stacked going in the draft. All they really need is a better QB, and people are saying they may end up bringing Romo.

I also think the Browns are winners, 11 picks in the first two rounds in 2017/2018, they might become a relevant franchise by 2019, they will need a franchise QB, maybe Jimmy Garappolo?

    Losers:

Redskins, they are bringing back Cousins, but he ain't go no weapons on offense, what is Cousins going to do with no receivers?

Houston, they lost their best corner, sure they free up some room dumping Brock however they lose that 2nd round pick next year, they still need to fill that QB position and more weapons on offense.

I agree, but how many people said the same thing about Peyton Manning after the 2014 season?  My point was simply that you can't predict the future, so there's no point in saying the Pats will be unstoppable next year.  If everything that can go wrong does go wrong (injuries, bad locker room interactions, the ball simply not bouncing their way), they could be .500

Lmao, when there are locker room drama queens they get traded to the Browns. This is how BB rolls.

  7. People keep mentioning Houston and Denver and keep saying they are a QB away, sure they are, but look at this years draft, weakest QB draft class in years.

A defense without a decent offense is gonna run out of steam once mid season hits.

The Pats are in prime position to repeat because if they clinch the number one seat again, except the Ravens no one else beating them at home.
