Ridiculous to be talking about an "easy" schedule at this point. Last year, every team against us had a schedule looking much easier because of it. I think an 11-5 record shows how misleading strength of schedule is before the season begins.

I might be in the minority here, but the less I hear in the news about our team, the better. I don't want us to be like one of those teams always in the news like the Jets or Cowboys. It never works well
Yep. As long as we get team-to-fan contact through the right sources (meaning, on site stuff like the video interviews) then I'm very happy, much prefer that to one of the media circus teams. It's why I don't want us to be on Hard Knocks or anything.

If Grigs sticks by the "I'd rather draft football players than workout warriors" mantra then Margus won't be coming here, especially at 24.

Erm. I'm a Colts fan, not a Broncos fan, so Colts. Why is this even a question?
-
Thank you. That really needed to be said.
Some of the Avery comments around here are exceeded only by the Vaughan comments......
You say that as if it's undeserved.

Trent Dilfer Ravens? You mean, erm, a Super Bowl winning team? Seeing as what we have now at QB is far better than Trent Dilfer, then yes obviously I'd very much like the rest of it to be 2000 Ravens-esque. Why do you say that like it's a bad thing?

Chapman could potentially have played last season, so I imagine he'll be fine to play. Ijalana, on the other hand, the Colts mailbag said will miss all spring activity, and is setting an optimistic target of training camp.

Out of the following receivers under contract who stays? Wayne, TY, Brazil, DHB, Sambrano, Walen, Sambrano, Kelley? Only 6 will make the 53 man roster. Sorry for all those thinking were gonna draft a receiver early!
Well that's 7, we don't have two people named Sambrano, and of your list, three have never been on an NFL roster and one is a 6th round compensational pick with very limited playtime. Just because we have a lot of them, doesn't mean we can't do better. Arizona had 4 QBs until the other day and still got another one.

Not just Bleacher Report, but Matt Miller's BR1000. The one that says of all our DEs, Drake Nevis is comfortably the best. And Joe Lefeged is better than Bethea and Landry. Seems like a solid source.

What if he doesn't sign at all? http://www.freep.com/article/20130326/SPORTS01/130326020/Darrius-Heyward-Bay-wide-receiver-Raiders

Guarantee if Te'o was mocked to us before the Catfish scandal, many people would be extremely excited.
-
No o-line in which Mike McGlynn starts can ever be considered complete. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and all, but he's not a starting-caliber RG by any stretch of the imagination.
-
I like this move. He's a good player, I definitely rate him higher than I do McKinney. Even better that I've seen a lot of mocks linking us to John Jenkins, who I really don't like, so this should hopefully be a safeguard to that! Will have to wait on news about $$$ but as a player, good pickup.

Adam Schefter has been asked about Cruz on Twitter:
RT @infantal2132: Any update with Giants and Victor Cruz? ...
Patience, NY. Don't see a team out there willing to sign him to offer sheet.
-
I'm hoping for Danario Alexander, personally. I like Victor Cruz, but I also like first round picks

speak your mind, do as you please.. but don't sound like an *... and you my friend.. SOUND LIKE A BIG BIG *..
Like a star? Thank you very much

Sure it makes a huge difference but Im not just dismissing him off as "well he only did it against 3rd stringers" because thats how many start, ya have to get on the field somehow, it would be interesting to see if he can continue it against 1st string competition, I think he can though.
There have been tons of guys who have looked better than Whalen in pre-season. He looked solid, sure, but not astonishing. Meanwhile, LaVon Brazill has actually impressed in the regular season, in a very limited role, but he made some impressive plays. Certainly shown more than Whalen has, mainly because Brazill was actually doing it against trained defenders rather than quick guys off the streets.
At any rate, I don't feel at all comfortable with our receiver depth.
-
Both have good QB's that can get them the ball, both have a knack for getting open and both have showed good hands, Now the comparison stops there, Whalen is not as polished as Cruz and will never have the speed but he is a guy that can get underneath and get you a first down to move the chains, The biggest difference in the two besides speed is this......One has been given the chance and the other got injured right in the middle of one but he looked good, I dont care if it was against a bunch of 3rd stringers, he looked good
You can't just say that though. "I don't care if it was a bunch of third stringers" - well, um, you should, because that makes a huge difference.
-
victor cruz was undrafted.
And if Giants had gone into the season planning to start him, it would have been baffling. Instead, he found his way in the team because of injuries and it worked out. What from Griff Whalen have you seen to compare him to Victor Cruz?
-
just curious why does everyone put Whalen ahead of Brazill?
I have no idea - more curiously, why is everyone happy with a UDFA as our #3 receiver?!
-
Just to note, Grigs categorically denied interest in Reed earlier. I don't know whether releasing Zb changed that, but I doubt it, we have our starting safeties.
-
About 13.5 with Zbikowski's release, right?
-
I don't know... I like Larry Warford but I don't think taking him at 24 is good value, because right now it appears as if we could get him a lot later. I think a better value pick might be Justin Pugh - doubtful he stays at OT in the NFL, many see him moving inside - myself included.

Poor D.J.Fluker, seems like his twitter was hacked?
