When you have Tom Brady to mask weaknesses and inefficiencies, you can get away with some bad personnel decisions. I feel like that's the larger problem when it comes to him going elsewhere. There's no denying his ability to coach the game and his fundamental knowledge, but his track record as a GM is pretty bad. I don't see him taking a reduced role where he's only coaching, and I don't see another organization giving him GM/HC duties. At the same time, I imagine Belichick doesn't want this to be the final chapter in his legacy, since he would be going out with the "couldn't do it without Brady" thing hanging over him. 

 

If he goes anywhere, I would think it would be the Commanders.  He is from that area given his dad and the naval academy. He also has Howell who is a pretty good QB and Eric B is doing a great job.

 

I agree with you though that Bill has tanked his legacy without Brady. The Pats are a clown show.

Another average coach with a big ego fortunate enough to coach the best quarterback ever, he’s never done anything without Brady. He's just another guy who suddenly forgot how to run an offense without a star QB. Tom made this guy and got him two jobs. Now we know why many teams kept pulling the plug after interviewing him throughout the years.

I wouldn’t even hire him as an OC, these dinosaurs are still running the same old crap that only functions with an elite quarterback, it’s been proven over and over none of these bozos can coach offense it was ALL Brady, even Daboll is falling on his face now.

He’s basically Adam Gase at this point who looked amazing with Peyton Manning and a complete train wreck without him, he just got to ride the coat tails for longer.

He also did exactly what he did in Denver trading away a capable QB in Carr in favor of an inferior QB. Adams production has taken a dip because of the poor fit at QB. Not to mention, his last two drafts were atrocious. Tyree Wilson was an *ic coach killing pick. Clelin Ferrell 2.0.

[Week 1 Sunday Games: Thoughts, Observations, Impressions]

My biggest take away from Week 1 is that Drew Brees' arm looks completely shot. His throws has little velocity on them. The offense was much more explosive with Hill in there. They really should think of going to him this season. The Bucs were a bit of a train wreck which kind of covered up just how bad Brees' arm looked.
