Steichen actually did the same thing during the game he did on that 4th and 1. For example the deep shot to cox. That isn’t a play for Cox. He put the wrong players in the wrong positions.

That’s a hall of fame QB talking about why Minshew threw the ball like that. Come on man. He talked about how the route should have been run.

Bradley only had one WR he had to worry about and he failed. Texans did a good job on Pittman while Bradley had no plan for Collin’s.

The bigger question to me is the 3 play calls before the 4th down call. You play to run and he played to lose like they only needed a field goal.

Warner explains it very well. So your just going to ignore it.

Steichen acted like he was on the five yard line on those last set of plays. Play to win. If they come out and go down and score so be it. You didn’t deserve it.

This sure seems like it was on Goodson. Hard to know if it was taught this way or it was on him. He is a 3rd string back and it looks like he ran the route wrong.

You don’t take the ball out of your best players hands. There were many more options there. If that was Steichen best play in that situation then his play calling was bad. That’s why you have players that are paid big money.

So use him as a decoy. You have Pittman ect. Trying to tell me you don’t have a better set of plays for guys like him.

It didn’t have to be Taylor. Taylor could have just been a decoy. You could have used Pittman on a play or even downs. What about miss. The bigger question is why were we playing like we only needed a field goal. It’s not like we were on the ten yard line. There could of been a better series of plays that milked the clock.

What’s kind of sad is Steichen did not trust his defense so he had to milk the clock and play like all colts needed was a FG.

It was thrown behind if he had to twist to get it. You want your better pass catchers to be in on that play. They can make uo for a underthrown ball. Texans don’t stop going to their best player when they knee colts would try and stop them.

Some big decisions to be made and those can’t be mad there is a decision on Bradley and if a new DC is brought in. I don’t think it is a for gone conclusion we bring Moore and Grover back.

Well it was a third string RB. Of course execution might not be as great then if it was one of your stars. Your better players are better for a reason.

As much as Minshew has led us to this point. We have to evaluate the backup spot. Not throwing downfield killed us all year. The only cautionary tale is it can get worse at backup QB so they have to be careful.

What do you expect with a backup QB. We know who he is. Doesn’t do any good to complain

Texans should nor have a tougher schedule thrn the colts and will get even harder if jags lose tomorrow. There is zero excusde this off season. Going to have to makes decision quickly on Gus. Then all of our free agents. First priority and it’s clear as day is this defense. Then maybe adding one more play maker to the offense.

Seems that would have been a good call to Pittman too. Pittman has caught that so many times. But to take Taylor off and to not even disguise a run was so bad.
