I have never seen cox run a go route deep.

Same thing happened on that deep shop to cox. Why you throwing that to cox. That isn’t his strength.

This was one of Steichen worse called games all year.

You’re asking a player to go something he hadn’t done all year. Downs or Pittman could have ran a rub route. They have much better hands. Asking a running back with 7 targets in his career was not the way to go. They should have punted. That was another bad mistake by Steichen.

If your best play call on 4th and 1 is a play to your 3rd string RB then it’s a bad play call.

It wasn’t the colts they asked to trade with. It was the cardinals. Your saying he is glad is ridiculous. -
You even could have put Moss and Taylor out there together so they didn’t know who was getting the ball. Big fat failure.

You had moss too if Taylor was too injured. He had some great runs to get them back in the game. Did we not have moss. He had some great runs in this game. Throw some extra blockers in there.

Steichen actually did the same thing during the game he did on that 4th and 1. For example the deep shot to cox. That isn’t a play for Cox. He put the wrong players in the wrong positions.

That’s a hall of fame QB talking about why Minshew threw the ball like that. Come on man. He talked about how the route should have been run.

Bradley only had one WR he had to worry about and he failed. Texans did a good job on Pittman while Bradley had no plan for Collin’s.

The bigger question to me is the 3 play calls before the 4th down call. You play to run and he played to lose like they only needed a field goal.

Steichen acted like he was on the five yard line on those last set of plays. Play to win. If they come out and go down and score so be it. You didn’t deserve it.

This sure seems like it was on Goodson. Hard to know if it was taught this way or it was on him. He is a 3rd string back and it looks like he ran the route wrong.

You don’t take the ball out of your best players hands. There were many more options there. If that was Steichen best play in that situation then his play calling was bad. That’s why you have players that are paid big money.

So use him as a decoy. You have Pittman ect. Trying to tell me you don’t have a better set of plays for guys like him.

It didn’t have to be Taylor. Taylor could have just been a decoy. You could have used Pittman on a play or even downs. What about miss. The bigger question is why were we playing like we only needed a field goal. It’s not like we were on the ten yard line. There could of been a better series of plays that milked the clock.

What’s kind of sad is Steichen did not trust his defense so he had to milk the clock and play like all colts needed was a FG.
