  1. I can't bring myself to read through all of the threads after today, so forgive me if I am repeating anything.

Luck and Reich were on a roll because they had Doyle. He allowed them to stay a step ahead of the defensive playcalling and massively helped the running game. Doyle allows Ebron to be used as a weapon. Ebron is not as effective as an every down TE, although he had nice numbers today.

Unless Cox or Swoope majorly elevate their game, the season is done for IMO and I think they will be drafting a TE in the first three rounds or signing one in the offseason to compliment Doyle and Ebron.

Manning GOAT of all time in the regular season.  If I was starting a franchise that was a total dumpster fire, I would take Manning. That being said, he is not the GOAT when u factor in his play off performances.

3-1 vs Brady in the AFCCG.

Right now there is no weak link. The whole line is playing at a Pro Bowl level.

Let's not get carried away. They are playing awesome, but a big part of it is the playcalling. Defensive players and opposition coordinators are getting outcoached by Reich and co. As a former OL, nothing is better than blocking when the defence doesn't know what is coming.

  4. What Manning and co did in 2004 (with help from the rule change due to the cheating Pats DB's in the playoffs) opened the can of worms that is now the NFL. It is a copycat league. I would even say that Drew Brees eventually holding all of the passing records is thanks to Manning paving the way. If Luck and Reich stay together then 40 TD's per season should be his minimum.

  5. Hate to say something nice about the Pats, but that pass play by Edelman was awesome. It bothers me that no one can see that around 30% of Brady's greatness is from the play calling/coaching. Even Tom knows it.

Agree.....teams today pass a lot more AND QB's yards & TD's will reflect it. Doesn't necessarily mean they are better passers than the QB's from even just a few years ago.

Similarly to MLB, the game is changing before are eyes.

Agree 100%. Now, I am getting off track, but I suspect the Manning era Colts would have won a few more very important games if 3rd and short was as much of a passing down as it is today.

Especially if dump off screens continue to go for TD's....Lol

Obviously, Maholmes is a Top Talent and fun to watch. And playing in Andy Reid's system & playcalling will certainly pad his stats.

And a poor defense will help his stats too, similar to Brees. If Manning threw the ball as much as QB's are these days then his stats would have been even better.

Is that based on time, games or snaps? Hard to imagine he is faster than Peyton.....

Based on games. Marino was fastest (89 games) and Rodgers second (99 games). He won't best Marino, but he need 45 TD's in under 21 games to beat Rodgers.

Then again, if healthy, Mahomes will destroy that at this rate.

For a fourth round pick, on a team that has a dearth of talent at receiver after TY, yes I'm stunned.

I've heard him, I just dont think that means he should obstinately refuse any notions of trading.

I agree. This seems like a small price to pay to add a piece that could project you to one of, if not the best offense in the NFL. It stings even more that Thomas went to a team in the division that just had a major injury at WR.
