BIG Q having a bad game. First, letting Autry blow past him on Ryan fumble and next, pushing Tart after the tipped ball (he couldn’t have known I’ll admit) to give Tart the momentum for backpedaling for the INT. Oh well!!! Let’s see how the second half goes.

Their OL is playing lights out. Irsay always felt smitten about how much Vrabel got out of his talent and players for 60 minutes, he’s going to be MORE smitten.

    Money well spent.

  2. Yeah, but this whole idea of character is nonsense. He may have priced himself at that. P.S. he's better than Brissett.  But at this point a smart agent would have given him the realistic number. Suh is not a moot point because he was available for a minute. Ballard has always argued competition, right? Well, Suh could have added major competition and Kap could have too. Well they signed elsewhere really isn't a argument because they could have been here. It was stupid. That Kelly dude has been living on his parents couch eating Chef Boyardee. At least Suh has played one meaningful down in his career. Competition!!!

  3. I just want opinions. Suh is a not the impact player he once was. He still a very good veteran piece that has rotational ability. He's NOT the troublemaker he once was. So the question is if we are so high on character... Why do we not sign someone like Suh who is worth the risk and could provide excellent depth on a one year, but sign Chad Kelly? Chad Kelly broke into a teammates house during a Halloween Party. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/chad-kelly-arrested-on-trespassing-charge-while-in-cowboy-costume-following-broncos-halloween-party/

It seems like a favor and that stinks. There was no reason to sign him. Kapernick is still a FA. I know he's considered a pirahaa but he had credibility. He's actually led a team to the Superbowl. Come on.

Based on the very little I know, I agree with this. Wilkins sounds like what this team needs. But Lawrence would not be a bad fall back guy at all. It would be so awesome if we could see the team boards and how they have them arranged on day one of the draft. I’d say, put them in a vault and then 10 years afterwards, reveal what guys were thinking for historical context.

That is such an awesome concept.

I've liked most of Ballard's signings in the past, but this one seems a bit pricey.

I don't know.  I haven't watched KC that much to tell how much Houston has left in the tank.  At that price, I hope we won't think Trent Cole by mid season.

9 sacks, 5 FF last year.

I think it’s way, WAY too soon to come up with conclusion...    a recent poll of agents listed Indy has the 8th most desirable NFL team to join.

8th only because we're not stupidly throwing money at distractions and ME players.

  7. Honestly I appreciate all you do. Tough job that never gets credit for all you do. I don't post a lot but have read these forums for 12 years under a different account because I lost my password. Nadine gave me a warning one time and I felt like the hand of God slapped me. :D Good job guys.

If I had to guess...   we’re always looking for a possible special teams ace...    Ballard us thinking about the 90-man roster almost as much as the 53-man roster.

Thats the best I can come up with...  except to say we’ll be signing lots of guys over the next few weeks and months.

It would totally change the game for us if we had a truly gifted return guy. Someone who could effectively bring it out of the end zone. It would catch teams off guard because of all the touchbacks. Start at the 35 or 40 instead of the 25. I honestly believe the NFL's changes to the kickoffs hurt the game. I miss seeing return guys like Hester.

There are still a lot of good options out there. CJ Anderson who is a bruiser at RB, Tate at WR, Suh, Houston, and who knows we could still even trade for Frank Clark? Let me say this, we may not pursue any of these guys but it is still early in Free Agency. Suh on a 1 yr deal I would definitely do if the opp is there, he is older but for 1 yr hell yes. Everyone in here wants a power back, why not Anderson to pair with Mack. Anderson was good last year and he's healthy. He averaged 6 yards a carry this past season.

I think that's what we lack in the running game and Anderson fits the bill. I never wanted Bell for the price he was asking but you can't explain that to people on here.
