I am 100% convinced now, and I was 90% convinced before the last few days, that this has almost nothing to do with his physical body and injuries, and almost everything to do with his head.

Irsay said it 2 years ago.  I have been saying it ever since.

He simply does not want to play because his heart isn't in it.  I said many times, and got killed for it on here, that the shoulder injury basically made him paranoid and afraid about getting hurt again.   He simply cannot handle pain.  Is that a psychological issue?  A mental issue?  Does he have something mentally wrong?  Who knows.

I do know that 99.99999999999999999999999999999% of the human population would change places with Luck in a heartbeat.  99.9999999999999% of NFL qbs, having the injuries that Luck does, would not retire.  He has something going on in his head that is simply not allowing himself to go out there and compete anymore.

Reading everything you say makes me feel like my IQ dropped.

Admittedly his mental toughness probably isnt high. But the dude played with a lacerated kidney. He even played 2016 with that same shoulder injury that held him out all of 2017. He has 92 mil and a wife with a kid on the way. Why deal with nagging injuries and the same old routine every year? Especially if your heart isnt in it anymore

I watched his plays against Texas, IMO he wasn’t impressive. He did have a sack but it looked like he was losing most of his matchups.  I’m no expert, so judge for yourself.

Then I watched his highlights.  It showed the traits the Colts are looking for, speed, pursuit, good tackling.

Bottom line, he’s raw with a lot of potential.

I saw that tape as well. Was very put off by it. The raw physical ability is there with him, but that tape showed a concerning lack of hustle and effort. He also has no technique whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised if his impact and tenure here mirrors Bashams.

I think a lot of fans are going to be surprised how good Banogu turns out to be in our defense.  I think by year end he will be more feared than Justin Houston by opposing offenses.  Ballard and Eberflus have big plans for that guy.

On topic:  Glad to hear the positive buzz around Parris.  He is having a strong camp thus far.  I’m also encouraged to hear that Rock Ya-Sin was covering him a few times and was hanging stride for stride with him.  Good signs.

Idk man I saw like a 20 minute video of Banogu's plays against Texas? Or some college team I forgot. But he looked like butt. No hustle, went in one direction every time even though the play unfolded in another direction, let his blocker basically hold him as long as he wanted. I even saw a few plays where he pretended to extend his arms out for a tackle on a RB but it was flat out obvious he wanted no part of it... I really do not like the Banogu pick. Gonna be another Basham situation. This is just my opinion though. My body is ready for the backlash.

if it crashes it won't be that big of a loss being that it was a mid second round pick.

Mid 2nd round picks are pretty valuable though...

No, Leonard wasn’t.   That’s why so many people went crazy a year ago.

Many websites had Leonard going much later.

I'll point out that I get my projections from the NFL draft website. He was projected a 2nd or 3rd rounder there.

He's one inch shorter than Turay and roughly the same weight. He'll be fine. He won't play linebacker. He was a pass rusher at TCU.

Ok. I'll be the easy target for some here.

Is that supposed to be reassuring? Turay was phased out for a bigger and more physical Tyquan Lewis in the second half of the season. Even before then, he was a one trick pony who got some nice pressures here and there. I honestly would not want another Turay..

He's a DE. Called it. I knew the Colts liked him and Rick Venturi absolutely loves this guy. Uber athletic pass rusher who's much more refined than Turay was last year.

Isn't he a little small to play DE in 4-3? I know Freeney and Mathis did it but they were bonafide stars. He doesn't seem to fit at LB or DE in our scheme imo

We get their 46th pick tomorrow. We have three picks tomorrow. Ballard is so freakin smart.

I mean obviously we got their 46th. Would be odd to just give them our 1st for nothing other than their next earliest pick. I do think we could have gotten slightly more value though.
