Carter is almost exclusively a special teamer according to Joe S. this morning. Bates should be signed to the practice squad .
-
His jersey number is obvious....wait for it.....007!
-
I have 140,000,000.00 reasons why you'd better start blocking somebody.
-
He's a great guy too . My friends son did some work for him on his house ...you know the honey do kind . Well he gave the young man a super cool ATV for doing the work .
-
If Pagano and Arians are such great pals why couldn't we have at least offered them a co-head coaching position ? I think Irsay should have done everything humanly possible to keep them both here but then again I think Arians did a great job here . Wasn't he named coach of the year ?
-
Grigson probably would be the #1 mistake but some might say letting Arians go would be . T;hey should have kept him as their head coach . The fans would probably gone beserk because of the overwhelming sympathy for Chuck due to his illness .

Yes.
Maybe Mr. Grigson will read this and take it to heart .

No I am not. In fact, he wouldn't even be the first Colts GM to resign.
ok. Feb 8, 1984 - Ernie Accorsi, the talented general manager of the Baltimore Colts, suddenly resigned Is this what you're talking about ?

It would not be the first time that's happened.
You're kidding right ?

Thanks for the update . Sounds like this guy might have some upside .
-
Wouldn't you love to see 'Grigson releases himself' . GM becomes the first to cut himself for poor performance .

Watch him start playing very well again like he was when he played for Oakland. This coaching staff is almost inept at this point.
Guess who the Chiefs play this week?.......Raiders .
-
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed a former Oakland Raiders linebacker a week before they play the Raiders. The team announced the addition of Sio Moore
-
I think we should have kept Jason Spriggs instead of trading the pick.
-
It's too early to tell if these guys will be good .
-
Why didn't they cut that cb that wiffed on the jag's wideout that went for a td ? Melvin or Morris I think his name is .#30 or #35?
-
It clearly looked like they had jet lag. I don't want to make excuses but we weren't used to the trip and the Jags are used to it . I'm just saying that maybe it had an effect on us.
I know this is seeing the glass half full but....I'm just say'in .
-
Arthur Jones can return Monday . How do you feel? Let's hope this is finally his year to shine . We need it . Wonder who gets cut . Once upon a time he used to be a beast with the Ravens . I think the guy has just been unlucky .
-
Does Dorsett look like he plays at a slower speed than T.Y. ? He's supposed to be just as fast but he doesn't look as fast as Hilton does to me .

IMO the goal post are just fine. I think they are the same width as the hashtags.
For those who go to live games one of the first things you notice is the post are not nearly as wide as it looks on TV.
For those who want to bring up the old days the goal post were ten yards closer.
You can also bring in the difference between kicking indoors and outside. There are more domed stadiums now that there use to be so the weather done effect the kick as much.
The kickers are a lot better athletes than in the past so that accounts for the percentages being up too.
Boomstick is one of the best athletes on the club.
These are all excellent points . The kickers used to be straight on style rather than soccer style as well.
The NFL must think that my point has some credence or they wouldn't have experimented with the idea in the pro bowl . I know kicking isn't the lodestone of the game but it has become more dominant than it was in earlier years . The kicking will continue to get better and I don't want the game to turn into field goal contests .
-
I think it would make the game more exciting as well as interesting . If you enjoy watching field goals that's fine.
Where does it stop . 70yds.? It's like tigerizing the Masters or lowering the pitchers mound in the major's. (they lowered the mound years ago because the scoring was so low .) Narrowing the goals would make it a lot tougher on the coaches to simply trot a kicker onto the field if they might give up great field position .
As far as Adam V. is concerned , I think the guy is great , phenomenal but no kicker wants a rule that would make their job tougher .
-
I'm old enough to remember when 50 yard field goals were rare . Now guys make them like chip shots . I like old school run pass and tackle football .
-
No, they raised the goal posts to make it easier for the ref's to see if the ball was in or out . As to why ..it seems to me that the game has become too much about kicking field goals rather than running and passing like it used to be years ago .
-
Why not narrow the goal posts ? It seems to me that field goals are too easy these days . With the Kicking so good in todays game why not do something to get the game back to what it used to be ?
It starts at the top, Irsay sucks

Well he made some great choices in the past , like Bill Polian and Tony Dungy . Maybe he just got lucky .
