It's a work in progress. Luck was efficient. Reggie was Reggie. The running game was pretty good looking at @ 5ypc. Yes, I would have liked to see a little more up tempo on offense, no big deal. The raiders were desperate and for a while blitzing multiple guys from many angles just to stay in the game, they were taking all sort of chances to stay in the game. We won, more pros than cons!!

Our run "D" against the backs was above average if not better. I would like to see our LB's hit the QB more after he hands off in the read offense. Give him something to think about.
-
What surprises me is that we have six pages of banter on a guy who may or may not be in the league this time next year. Hail Cesar!! Go Colts!!!
-
Our front office does a great job of finding and or picking up these guys. It is on him what he does with it and him only. Does not matter who is mentoring him. That being said Boyett, Lefeged I believe have had some off the field problems here recently. I hope this is not a trend!!!

Bremer is reporting that Harvey and Conner are not on the field today. Could be injuries, could be something else?
We know Conner has an ankle injury and is done for a while. as far as Harvey (?)
-
Well looking at the 49'ers LB core they are young and loaded. I hope we didn't give them any more than what they gave for him in which they drafted him in the seventh. Possibly a guy who fell into are lap, possible the end for Conner (?)

Sure all the talent in the world, but it means absolutely nothing when your head is all jacked-up. If the strong possibility that you could be a productive NFLer and all that comes with it is not enough to motivate a person to be better. You have serious problems, imo. Another volunteer wr with so much talent, just not living up to potential.

I liked Nevis for sure, the guy never stopped. But the last two years he did end up on injured reserve.

It depends on who they are targeting for our first pic. If they think whoever would still be there at 30, then go for it. Pics 30,86,92,121 etc. Looks better than 24, 86, 121 etc.. Only if that first pic is still going to be there. It's a gamble!!

It's good to see Pagano looking good as well!
-
Having more depth is a huge bonus. Also, this being the second year of a new system on defense has to help. I understand we have several new guys playing on the def. side of the ball, but I believe their skillset will go well with what Pagano is trying to do.

It truly has been a long-lonng offseason!

I understand that Patterson has one yr. of big time college exp. Hard to judge him, but physically gifted. Hunter I just don't know much about. The University of Tn. was once know as WR U, and even then a majority of there wr's were not that game changer a team hopes to get in the first round. They have produced medicore recievers over the years. Basicaly, I just don't see that big game/play maker in this years draft. Just my opinion.
-
We do not need a wr in the first round, at least not one from Tn. When was the last time one of their wr's amounted to anything in the nfl. We have been very lucky over the years with wr, and I understand Reggie isn't getting younger. It's more important to find a wr that will grow with Luck and compliment his passing game, than just go out and grab somebody who could possibly try and replace Reggie. This draft fow wr is not talent ladden. i just don't see it this year.
-
None, I thhink I might wait to see who we draft.
-
We can argue about value all we want. It's like everything else, it's only worth what a team will pay for it, meaning our 24 pick. Some teams will under value, some might over value it. A team willing to give up something that greatly benefits us great, if not don't do the trade. It is nice to be in this position though!
-
Seems like so many people at some point want to draft a RB sometime this draft. Why not wait and see what we have with an improved o-line. Atleast not Lattimore, he might be a feel good story, but he's no Willis Mcgahee.
-
I don't know about any reciever who comes out of Tennessee. It seems like their recievers just don't pan out in the nfl. I'd say trade out of the first as long as there is good compesation, stockpile some picks and get a wide reciever next year. Right now we have other more pressing needs.
-
Low risk high reward guy! Get him on a team with alot of positives, the raw talent is there. Size and speed cannot be taught, hands can be improved upon.
-
Running back is not a need, with an improved o-line who knows what might happen to our ground game. Trade out of the first with Cincy, they have 2 seconds this year and maybe something for next year. Address o-line, d-line, cb etc.
-
Give this guy time, as long as he builds a winner, I don't care if he mimes his presser.
-
I hope he lands a job at what he does best, being a qb coach, maybe college.
-
Tomorrow I find out that all my teeth need to be pulled without any pain killers. Sounds better to me. Say it aint so!!
-
Just think were we would be if he worked out. One small/minor area we would'nt have to worry about. I wish him the best.
Colts still can't tackle or stop the run

This was our first time seeing the read option. True they watch tape and our coached up, but to actually see and be apart of it in live action is totally different. Our defense came through when needed, they had pressure on the QB (Pryor was running around all willy-nilly at times), we will be better. I would be more concerned with a few blown assignments on defense that gave up some big plays, but once again it was the first game. It's OK!!
