He ended his first two seasons on the IR as well, hopefully the injury bug is in the past. Like the kid and wish him nothing but the best.

Sheard has played DE in a 4-3 scheme and imo, Simon seems to be a good fit at SSLB.
I believe Anderson will have some trouble transitioning as he really seems a better fit as an edge in a 3-4 front, I do hope he surprises me though and of course stays healthy.

I would love to see a healthy Hank Anderson....
29 games played in a 48 game career. Here is hoping for a full season and more than the 3 career sacks and 43 tackles (plus 22 assists) he has had to this point.

Add 15 lbs, learn to tackle the opponent, and I see no reason why he couldn't be a WLB in this scheme....he has the goods but needs to polish his game first and I hope he does. While I may complain about a player that is always hurt or who was over drafted, I always root for them to do well...they are Colts after all.
Disclaimer: I am not saying all this will happen as a "perfect storm" would need to happen, but it is fun to speculate.

It’s always possible that Simon could move to SAM. I don’t think playing in coverage is his strength though. I think he will line up at DE, but we’ll see. It’s possible he could play a mixture.
I think if Anderson is healthy then he is more disruptive than Ridgeway. I think we could see a good healthy mix of both.

You have Simon as a DE, why not SSLB? Just asking, nothing more than to pick your brain...I have him at SSLB.
Anderson, is he healthy? The guy played a half a season as a rookie and, well.....Ridgeway gets my nod, for now.
Just my opinions...I build homes for a living, not NFL teams.

I know that Chuck basked glow on all his players, well most and sometimes it was undeserving hyperbole, but he called Simon a "Football Player"....I agree and this interview certainly backs this up.
