I think one thing we need to remember is that it was a freak accident that put him on IR this year, and I don't think we have to worry about him re-injurying his larynx and hopefully the extra rest has helped his knee

He ended his first two seasons on the IR as well, hopefully the injury bug is in the past.  Like the kid and wish him nothing but the best.

    Any players?

I'm intrigued to see how John Simon and Sheard will fit in.

Sheard has played DE in a 4-3 scheme and imo, Simon seems to be a good fit at SSLB.

I believe Anderson will have some trouble transitioning as he really seems a better fit as an edge in a 3-4 front,  I do hope he surprises me though and of course stays healthy.

I read ya man. Crestmount is a good guy & we all have brain lapses every now & then, but I was like dude it was satire man. You even said JK & did laugh symbols.

I don't know. I'll be nice, but really? I know I don't wanna alienate anybody. My biggest strength & liability is I can't mask my true emotions. I can't hide anything visually. CMT is alright. But yeah, what happened last night with that response was eyebrow raising bro. Absolutely.

I will take the "high road" then my Friend.....life is short and we all could use friends.

I loved your original line: :Please get with program." Translation: Must I do all the heavy lifting around here?

    You're the best @TheRustonRifle#7!

It reminds of that Monty Python scene in The Meaning Of Life when John Cleese as the human sexuality instructor says "Will you kindly wake up. This is for your benefit not mine. I really don't want to have to start all over again." LOL!

You know how much I appreciate you man!  I really wasn't even angry at the blatant failure of the obvious, but had to point it out....you owe me a PM, Brother!

    Crestmount,

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you know that RR7 was simply being sarcastic for comedic effect right? He was just breaking the ice with Scott Pennock as a new poster & making him feel welcome.

I'm not disputing your point CMT. Just saying that humor is just humor that's all.

Thanks man, anyone who didn't get the sarcasm is too stupid to even converse with...lmao!

The vast majority of guys signed in the first couple of days of FA were 'Camp Bodies' also--some with mind blowing salaries

My "sarcasm font" wasn't utilized, my apologies for your "faux pas".....

So in his 3 years as a starter, his last two in college and redshirt freshman year in the NFL he averaged 50 tackles, 8 pbu and 3 ints.....but everyone is poo pooing on him because he was a depth piece in KC when playing behind established corners on an established defense of a solid playoff team versus the 49ers....?

I'd say those three years were rather productive and perhaps he's due for a Nick Harper or Rashaan Melvin breakout.....?

Your optimism is getting annoying on here(j/k):D...everyone that isn't signed in the first couple of days in Free Agency is a "Camp Body"...please get with the programhaha

The part that is cloudy to me is that Luck's apparently been throwing balls that are heavier than footballs, but not actually throwing footballs.

Why not just throw footballs? Is the motion that different?

    P.S. I'm not a doctor.

But you play one on TV right? ;-)

  9. Add 15 lbs, learn to tackle the opponent, and I see no reason why he couldn't be a WLB in this scheme....he has the goods but needs to polish his game first and I hope he does.  While I may complain about a player that is always hurt or who was over drafted, I always root for them to do well...they are Colts after all.

Disclaimer:  I am not saying all this will happen as a "perfect storm" would need to happen, but it is fun to speculate.

Frank Reich at the NFL annual meeting made apparent , To be a relevant team in the NFL you have to be in the top10 in running the ball consistently. He said in his experience it's a given. That's one aspect  of the game they plan on doing. And he also touched on developing better mental toughness.   His words not mine. Just trying to see where their mindset  is when they talk to the media. Sounds like they think just Mack isn't the answer at RB. And they are not looking for a vet in FA, but a young back at some point in the draft. As for when ? We will have to wait and see.

    Solid points....

    Good questions.

It’s always possible that Simon could move to SAM. I don’t think playing in coverage is his strength though. I think he will line up at DE, but we’ll see. It’s possible he could play a mixture. :)

I think if Anderson is healthy then he is more disruptive than Ridgeway. I think we could see a good healthy mix of both.

Thank you for your insight my Friend!
