  1. Here are my 2 cents worth, been a Colts fan since 1966 and had many ups and downs. Will always love the Colts win or lose!

Needs: WR's, when Alec Pierce is your #2 your team is in big trouble

A top tier TE, we have it seems a dozen mediocre TE's

Depth in the secondary, this is a must for every NFL team and we never have it!

QB, I know we have AR and maybe he's the answer but the most athletic doesn't always translate into best player

Wants:  Quit running the ball 2-3 times up the middle near the goal line every time!

Never play the old "prevent defense", it rarely works and actually prevents you from winning, I see it too much

Get more consistent and put mediocre teams (like the Falcons in 2023) away late in the season

Protect our House, make LOS a place opponents dread to visit

With the right players and coaches depth and consistency are things that will get us to the show.

Lastly:  You have to admit if we made it to the playoffs this year it would be the worst Colts team to ever make the playoffs, it

just shows you how much parity there is in the NFL. Think about it, we won 9 games with a backup QB, new coach

terrible WR (outside Pittman) TE and secondary play. Looking forward to 2024 and maybe this year will be the year!!!

  2. Irsay needs to quit buying guitars and start buying some stars, when Pittman is your #1 you know you're in trouble. No pass rush, terrible depth in the secondary and still trying to find our QB. It's time for Irsay to spend some money, we tried to build through the draft and we've gotten some great players but we need a few stars to win the division and/or get to the playoffs.

  3. Yes, some bad calls but that happens in every game in the NFL, can't blame the refs. My question is why were we so conservative late in the game eager to run some time off the clock, punt to the Browns then play prevent defense while we watch the Browns move the ball down the field and beat us. I can't count how many games I've watched in my life where that formula is a sure fire formula for failure. Oh, BTW we have won 7 games with that "great" defense I keep hearing about.

  4. Defense good for 3+ quarters....same as last year!

WR's outside of Pittman can't seem to get open.

OL is a C- at best.

Special teams let Agnew steal 50+ yards on a punt return that should have been on the 5!

AR was pretty good, that pick killed us though!

I'm 66 and can run better than Deon Jackson and I won't fumble!

A little too aggressive on going for 4th down and passing up FG that hurt but better than Reich for sure.

Andrew Luck "quit", he didn't retire...sorry I digress.

    Go Colts!!!

  5. I would say if you have a thread on the message boards that is 25+ pages and growing and has over 1,000 replies there is something legitimate about the disappointing performance of a certain player no names mentioned but wears number 4. No matter how great he was he is clearly past his prime and at this point in his career his number are below average at best. Now, do we keep a below average kicker and hope to win the Super Bowl which I think we all agree is the goal....someone has to make a tough decision. I don't think it matters if you're a 55 year fan such as myself or a newbie we have to have a kicker that makes his kicks that's the bottom line. Have a nice day, this game made me sick to my stomach!

Was yesterday your first posting since 2015?

No, aren't you allowed an opinion on here? Just because you're a senior member doesn't me your $hit doesn't stink or your opinion is so high and mighty. I've been a Colts fan for 57 years and I'll say what I want to say thank you!

  7. What I think many in the media are missing about this "quitting" not retiring is that Mr. Luck was getting paid big bucks to go out and put his health on the line playing NFL football. He was compensated for his injuries, he will "quite" a multi-millionaire earning nearly $97 million dollars that should alleviate some of the "pain" he has endured!!! Hell I played like a kid possessed just in back yard tackle football in my youth and have had a shoulder replacement, neck and knee surgery but I never "quit". He will always be a "quitter" in my mind and the damage he has done to the Colts franchise will haunt us for years. Thanks for nothing Andrew, no Super Bowl....nothing!

might have helped had he caught the pass on the 3rd play of the game, and allowed them to get a 1st down on the opening series.

I went back and looked at the play over and over and it was an easy catch. Ebron got by with several drops this year but this one was huge. A first down would have got the blood flowing and warm up the bodies a little and took some pressure off the offense. I couldn't agree more with your comment or your observation. The drop set the tone for the offense.

  9. I can't believe Colts fans are whining already, we are 1-2 and a game out of first place. I suppose you would like to have Chuck back at the helm. Helm no!!! Give Ballard and Reich a chance and I'm sure Luck will be fine. We are building a winner not a Monster!! (remember that turd of a quote)? Let us see where we are mid season before you lose your minds, please.

  10. The sign of a great coach is when something isn't working just keep doing it over and over and over. Just as the Colts did today as the running game was squashed in the 2nd half. No, I'm sorry I will not stop blaming Chuck for the Colt's losses. He is responsible for the coaches and they have absolutely no ability to modify their game plan when the opposing team shuts us down. I'm sick of him and his staff and have been for nearly 3 years.

  11. I see this thread turned into a Doyle bashing thread and granted it is well deserved but for the life of me I can't figure out why Pagano is still here as head coach. It is plain to just about any common sense individual that he is incapable of being a head coach, he is a great man and probably would be a great coordinator in some sense but just doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach. I'm getting physically sick from week to week watching the pathetic coaching decisions by him and the rest of his cronies.  When will it end???

  12. I really didn't expect much this year, especially with Luck out indefinitely but I never expected to get our lunch handed to us by the Rams! It was one of the most embarrassing loses I can remember in a long time. And what about the touchdown by Mack early in the game that was never challenged, it just proved what I've written the past 2+ years Pagano and staff are a joke, that TD could have changed the complexion of the game. It will be interesting to see how this rebuilt team will respond to this historically horrible loss.

  13. We are just a .500 team in the worst division in the AFC, nothing more, nothing less. I am a fan of the Colts, always have, always will but I will not come to LOS and spend my money supporting an ignorant owner that has lost touch with the fans. I am sick to my stomach from the GM to the head coach to the jokers that suit up each week and disgrace the horseshoe with their lack of effort, we all know who they are....and if the horseshoe fits...wear it.

  14. Thanks to all of you for speaking the truth on this thread. I got my butt handed to me by some senior members and moderators telling me to cool it, relax and not get so upset when I posted many of these same sentiments 2 weeks ago because it's always the same old thing with this team. I was blown away, anyway there are nothing but truthful comments on this thread and it is refreshing. No one has defended the clowns....yet.

I KNOW most on this board are DIEHARD blue and white fans (myself included) but I'm shocked at the level of COMFORT as well as excuses made for this version of the Colts who have been slowing corroding the past couple of seasons. Some think Chuck COACHED a good game against a Steeler team coming in on a short with BACK to BACK road games while missing several key players also because we only LOST 28-7. Keep in mind that the Steelers had to beat the WINLESS Browns (whose started like 7 different qbs this season) 24-9 Sunday JUST to even their record to 5-5. Let's NOT gloss over the fact that the decision to single cover Brown greatly CONTRIBUTED to most of the Steelers points and the offensive play calling inside the Steelers 5yd line contributed to our LACK of points. Too many times this team lacks FOCUS with untimely dropped passes, penalties at key moments, poor tackling or execution... enough is enough!!! I question whether this organization is truly STRIVING for GREATNESS anymore or is just CONTENT with being able to squeeze out wins against BAD teams while masking flaws in the form of having a shot at the BAD division title yearly without being a SERIOUS threat for the SB. This has nothing to do with spoiled fans or trolls but people with a passion for their team.

It wasn't too long ago that when the media talked about model franchises and winning it was all about the Patriots and Colts. Manning or Brady? That all started when Irsay brought in a HOF headed gm who put the pieces together with a future HOF coach and surrounded the young Manning with weapons as well as some great offensive minds that CATERED to his strengths and ALLOWED him to become ONE of the greatest to ever play the game! What has been allowed to happen AROUND Luck is almost comical and at this rate he will NOT finish this contract. It's time for a CULTURAL and MINDSET change for this team! The EXPERIMENT has lasted long enough and the time is now Mr Irsay to take back this franchise and head BACK to the right direction....

I think some need to remember who started this conversation...I merely agreed with their position and still do. You have not clipped my wings. Go Colts!!!!! Last post I promise.

Your passion for winning isnt intolerable. its how you are marginalizing others for not reacting the way you do. its as simple as that.

If I have marginalized anyone and you guys and ladies are offended I again apologize. I suspect if I were a "Senior Member" I would be treated with a little more respect. So this comical, uninformed, intolerant, nonsensical, unreasonable, clinically irrational, spastically reactionary Colt fan will sign off. I respect the opinions of others, don't seek to attack them but don't have to agree with them. I know there are others out there probably afraid to speak up at the expense of being crucified as well. Go COLTS!!!!

I've been a Colts fan pretty much since I was born in Baltimore in 1954.  FAN is the operative word. I'm not a player, a coach, manager, or owner.  Hence, it matters not to the Colts success what I think or 'tolerate'.  The NFL is entertainment, nothing more.  Follow them- or leave them if you don't like the product.  I'm cheering, thick or thin....

I respect your opinion as you have a couple of years on me being born in 1957 and a Colt fan since I saw the horseshoe on a B&W Colts game in 1964. I've always been a Colt fan living in Tennessee and a true O's baseball fan since I saw the Oriole bird that same year. I do have a different take on football though as I see it as true drama on the field, drama with a scoreboard and a winner and loser and winner takes all. I love my Colts and will always cheer them on win or lose. I don't follow as I suspect many do, I like you are a fan. As far as entertainment goes I'll have to disagree with you as I see it as a sport not entertainment in fact there is too much entertaining going on in football and not enough focus on the winning or losing, otherwise there would be no scoreboard. I'll never leave my Colts and have 3 generations of Colt fans I'm responsible for and I'm disappointed my passion for winning is somehow been construed as nonsense, negative, unreasonable, and intolerable.

Nobody in here is happy with the current state of the Colts, everyone in here hates losing. Having said that, as Colts fans/Football fans it's common sense that we aren't going 12-4 every season and winning the SB every season. We have had tons of success over the last 20 years and have won a SB so big freakin deal if someone like me or some others can tolerate it if we have a mediocre season or 2. It happens to every team on occasion. Cowboys haven't won a SB since 1995, 49ers since 1994. Fans like me are sick of people getting on here and Posting fire this guy, cut that guy - to me that is nonsense. For pete sakes we have been one of the best franchises for over 20 seasons since 1995, so reading that crap gets old.

I appreciate your toleration of a mediocre season or 2 and one Super Bowl since 1970. I look at that and say holy cow that's one SB in 46 years! We just have a difference of opinion, I'm talking about building a culture of winning that is not satisfied with one Superbowl win every half century. There are several teams that have multiple SB trophies and there is no reason we cannot be in that same category. Just remember there are a few of us that feel people satisfied with one Superbowl win every 46 years crap as well.
