  1. I would rather have, and think we really need an ILB who can cover TEs and slot WRs .... I think he is going to be a liability there.

I personally disagree, I believe he will be a great coverage linebacker on TEs and RBs. His downfall is his ability to shed blocks in the run game. I agree with Dustin that the TCU scheme padded his stats, but he is a playmaker and it shows on tape. I also don't think there is one LB in the league that has the speed or coverage ability to go man on man with a slot receiver.

  2. I agree getting him in the second round would be a nice pickup. If you watch his tape the guy is a gamewrecker he is constantly in on the play whether it is pass coverage, run support, or blitzing. IMO he is probably one of the best blitzing linebackers in this draft with Anthony being the other. His one downfall is that he could get a little better at shedding blocks in the run game. Off the field his only red flag was his "character" concerns that scouts have found which are questionable. If he didn't have such a bad combine and a questionable character I believe he would easily be a late 1st rounder so getting him in the 2nd would be a steal.

  3. Not bad I like the draft overall. I would rather have a different tackle in the first with Humphries, Collins, or Clemmings. Really any of the OTs besides Flowers. Really like the Lott pick in the 5th where is most likely going to go. I also like the mention of Akeem Hunt I think he would be a great late round RB to compliment the RBs we already have on the roster. All in all good job and nice use of value in making a realistic mock.

  4. If we went running back in the 2nd I would hope it would be one of: Duke Johnson, Ajayi, Abdullah, or Coleman. Any of those choices would be an upgrade over Allen IMO as I believe Allen is a 4th rounder and a huge reach in the 2nd. I do like the Hardison pick in the 3rd, Wilson in the 5th, and Lott in the 6th.

  5. I agree with esmort that he would be a late round steal in this draft. I know there are more pressing needs than a WR, but if you look at our depth chart there are many names that are far from guarantees to make the roster. I believe if a talented WR is sitting at any one of our picks that shouldn't be there like Moncrief was last year then I don't have a problem with the Colts pulling the trigger. Grigson loves adding talent to the roster even if it means adding talent to an already stacked position group.

  6. I like this draft a lot. I like the Campbell pick up in the 2nd he is a underrated player in this draft and will make a nice SS. It's nice to see someone else mentioning Terry Williams. That guy is a one man wrecking crew at NT and will be a mid round steal IMO. Also I doubt Holliman would be there in the 6th but if he is that would be an excellent depth pick. IF he could develop solid tackling skills to go with his ballhawking ability he could possibly be an elite FS.

  7. I wouldn't have a problem with this draft, it has a lot of talented players. I really like both 7th round picks, Gwacham will be a solid developmental pass rusher and Goodley is really underrated. Only bad thing I can really say is I highly doubt Holliman and Douglas will be there at those picks I believe they are both solid 4th rounders.

  8. Definitely can't knock him for his toughness. That would be a heck of a injury to have nagging you at that position. I doubt this is going to be a reoccuring problem with it being a bone issue rather than a soft tissue injury so I don't see the durability concern here. There is no doubt he can run after watching his film, but running like that on a broken toe most of the season that is pretty impressive.

  9. I believe there is no one worth trading up for in this draft if we have to give up a kings ransom. I believe that if we stay put at our pick there will still be some high talent available when we pick. With our pick we should still have to opportunity to pick players like Kevin Johnson, T.J. Clemmings, Carl Davis, and Jordan Phillips. All of those picks would be solid in our system, and we wouldn't have to trade away any of our picks. Heck we could possibly trade back into the early second, and still have an oppurtunity at one of the above listed players while picking up another pick later on.

  10. Funny here's what I was going to post

    1. Peters

    2. Anthony/Dawson

    3. Hardison

    4. Davis

    5. Geathers

    6. Miller

    6. Austin Hill WR Az

    7. Hackett

    7. Rush

Pretty close to the same thoughts. I think you will have to take Campbell early than the 5th.

Really like Hill had a great yr in 2012 looked like a top 50 pick 6'2 214 took Pac 12 by storm blew out his knee in 2013 started to come back around last year. If he returns to his 2012 form he's the steal of the draft

Like Miller late too 3 yr starter in SEC at LT

Love Rush started a thread on him.

That would be a heck of a draft as well. I agree with you on Hill in this draft. If he pans out and recovers to his 2012 form this guy will be the big steal of the draft.

  11. I am also sold on this guy as well in the later rounds of the draft. He is a very good run defender where he takes nice angles and he is not afraid of contact like some safeties in the class. He also has enough range to cover most TEs and RBs adequately at the next level. He is kind of like Geathers from UCF in that either way with a late round pick they have potential to start, but at the very least they could become special teams stars.

  12. I'll wait and see.  Tampa was sorry for one, and for two they switched over to a zone scheme, he may be more effective going back to man to man like they'll play in Washington most likely.

I agree I believe the scheme fit for him in Tampa was terrible and the possible switch back to a more aggressive man coverage defense could really elevate his play. Do I think he is the same player he was in SF I highly doubt it, but I think he is a lot better than he was made to look in Tampa. Look at Revis as well, one of the best man to man corners in the game gets put in a zone system in Tampa, and has one of his worst years. Goes back to man to man in NE, and looks much better. Either way it is a low risk high reward for Washington.

  13. They won't take 2 wrs in the draft

I doubt they will use draft picks on WRs unless there is an unbelievable value available at one of our picks, but I wouldn't doubt it if they brought in 2 or so WRs as UDFAs. Grigs is all about finding upgrades at any position doesn't matter how stacked we are at a certain position.
