  1. The NFL had a hissy fit in imo.  The Baltimore Orioles had a home game schedule for that Thursday night and the team share a parking lot, but did not have one on the Wednesday.   The Baltimore Orioles did not want to move the game, as it was schedule before the Super Bowl game.

The NFL, unlike it did the year prior moving the Giants game to Wednesday due to a Jewish holiday, refused to move the game to Wednesday thereby not giving Baltimore its much deserved home game.  So they had to go on the road.

I thought is was poor on the NFL's part.  Just the year prior they found it okay to move a game to Wednesday and they could of done the same for the Ravens.

I couldnt disagree more ... IMO the Orioles were the small -minded ones . Theey easily could have accomidated the Ravens

  2. I for one hope he comes back . hard to imagine the NFL without number 18 on the field . Luckily when he finally does hang up the cleats we will likely all get to still hear him every Sunday via the broadcasting career he is destined for . Hopefully he doesnt pull too many punches and critiques the players without reservation .

  3. Christ, give it a rest and go to bed. You just won the SB and you're on an opponents forum at 11:30 pm on a saturday trying to convince people who hate your team that you are the victims and our team is the bad guys. You don't see us on your forums wasting our breath.

Actually there are intelligent Colts fans voicing their opinions and sharing their perceptions on some of the Pats sights I fequent . It's one of the reasons I was curious as to what Indy fans are thinking here .

  4. yeah you could interpret it that way. It can go both ways. Which is why Bill said he misinterpreted the rule and gave in to the NFL wishes/fines since they are sole arbitrator.

So Bill gets the memo- ok.   reads the rule ok.

A memo is tricky. A rule would have to be amended by who writes the rules in this case the rules comm. Not Goodell.

Rozelle would have simply called the Patriots and tell them to stop.

Agree 100% ...Tagliubue would have done the same.

  5. Regarding Sheffter anfd his "hot-takes" ... I actually think he's been one of the more respectful reporters ( talking heads ) of the process thru-out this whole Deflategate fiasco .

I'm sure it's hard for most fans of other teams to come close to imagining what NE fans have had to put up with over the last few weeks .

Probably the most disheartening moment was when Troy Aikman flat out said Brady was a liar .

Picture the media attacking Luck like this and you'll get a taste of what I'm talking about  .

  6. Thanks! The planet is likely going to be a very angry place for the next few weeks (months...) so I figured I'd come say hi over here for a bit. The media reaction overall was completely absurd. I laughed a good ten minutes watching Mark Brunell crying over flat footballs.

But really they act that way so we'll go click their links which sells their ads which pays their bills. It's no real mystery why ever "analyst" says increasingly more and more hyperbolic opinions. Measured takes based on careful analysis of facts doesn't generate page hits the way over the top reactions do.

    Aka Skip Bayless.

This may just be the most reasonable description of what's been perpetrated on us football fans over the last few weeks . I can't help but wonder if the NFL front office purposely leaked information / misinformation just to drive ratings ( and distract everybody from their myriad of REAL issues )
