The point was that when you are rarely targeted, it's because you've covering your guy well enough that the QB can't throw his way. Sometimes the QB might miss it, but he's played well against good QBs and teams also. I mean sure, it doesn't carry nearly as much weight having no football thrown your way when ti's a mediocre or bad QB. It's still impressive nonetheless. If anything, it means he's earning every penny of his salary when you're shutting down guys like Demaryus Thomas. People can say whatever they want about Davis, he's been an elite CB for at least the past 4 games.
Once again i never disagreed with anyone that said hes been playing elite. Im just sayin 2 of the 4 teams that he has played elite against are in the bottom 5 of the league and both teams have started two different qbs so far. So its a bit premature to claim him the best. Lets not get ahead of ourselves is all im sayin

Yeah he did play good against them as well. Which is why i said i didnt disagree that he has been playin at an elite level..

Funny when Sherman didn't get targeted he was a God among men Davis doesn't get targeted and no biggie he just average and must be bad QB's .
To say that Tennessees and jags qbs are bad is a legit reason.. no where in my post was i in disagreement with sayin that vontae has played elite.. all i said was it is a bit premature to claim him the best. Based on the two god awful qbs we have faced the past two weeks. And if you really think henne and bortles and whitehurst are good qbs then the more power to you.. you can have th em on your team

Yeah he wasnt targeted yesterday at all.. but he was goin against a 2nd and 3rd string qb which are afraid of every cb on the field.. to say hes the best after goin against the jags and Tennessee which are arguably the two worst teams in the nfl is a bit premature.

Ukcolt said it all.. one hurry and one tackle in 36 snaps. That sounds pretty brutal. Specially when you add on the 41 snaps he played in the jags game. So in 77 snaps he has 2 tackles and 2 hurrys.. in my eyes and anyone who knows football would say thats pretty horrible.

He only called two blow out wins against division opponents, which allowed luck to throw 8 tds and close to 700 yards. But hey hes not utilizing luck enough, his play calling is awful and he sucks fire him for someone else in the middle of the season so luck can have 3 different OCs in 4 years. Thatll get us to superbowl. Wow

Lol.. he is slow.. how do you say hes playing the run well?.. he hasnt tackled anyone!.. how is he playing well and not makin any stops. Or playin well in coverage?.. no passes defense.. once again 8 tackles in 4 games.. or rushing the passer.. well that just speaks for its self zero sacks. Yeah they have different responsibilitys but hes still in coverage, playin run game and goin after the qb. Therefore theyre asked to alot of the same stuff.. fact of the matter is, is he is awful

He had 7 catches for 119 yesterday with a 29 yard touchdown.. id say he looks good

This is crazy talk.. as much as i want davis to be the best he is far from it.. if were doing it by statistics kyle fuller is the leader right now.. he leads in interceptions with 3. Nfl.com has vontae rated 22nd in the league.. lol far from number one. You have a better case in saying toler is the best because he is ranked 10th. Either way you look at it, its hard to say davis is the best when people have more interceptions and pass defenses then him.

Yeah 8 is a bit much. Tennessee normally gives us a run for our money but if locker isnt playing then 8 points should be doable.. c'mon t-rich!!

Werner has 4.91 40. Wilfork has 5.08.. so yes the are the same speed. That was when wilfork was listed at 325. Werner at 257. Fact of the matter is, is the kid is slow. Theres no deep hate for the kid im just lookin at statistics.. and statistically he is awful

Bluefire.. no body likes werner because he cant play. Vince wilfork had a faster 40 time than werner.. and wilfork has 120 pounds on werner.. he has no moves to rush qbs lacks any kinda speed, he cant make s tackle. I mean come on 25 tackles in 16 games.. get em outta here

Yeah were 3rd in the league in scoring.. but were 29th in overall defense.. im no genius but you can have the best offense but if your defense is ranked at the bottom of the league your not gonna make it very far. Sigh

I dont know how you say our defense has looked good. Its 29thhis in the league. Last time i checked theres only 32 teams. Lol how are we playing good ranked 29th? Without a consistent pass rush dont expect the defense to finish in the top 20. We statistically have the heaviest and slowest defense in the league. Seahawks have the lightest and fastest defense in the league. Hints why theyre so good the have speed to attack the ball.. we simply do not

Do you read what you type cm43sports.. the facts clearly support jags being the worst. Yeah raiders and tampa bay have the same record but when it comes to performance, jags have the worst stats therefore are the worst team. How is that hard to understand. Who the hell cares what bill parcells says? Facts are facts just cant argue that. Calling the jaguars the worst team in the league is not an opinion. Statistics say they are the worst.. 32nd in running and 32nd in passing.. those are facts not opinions. Offensive line has let up the most sacks. Once again not an opinion, strictly facts.. ok hes played 16 games. He has 25 tackles and 3 sacks. Not good numbers. And yeah 1st round picks dont always make an impact... theyre called bust
