I don't think that BYE team will beat the Colts. They never beat anyone.
You're thinking of the wrong team. The Bye team is undefeated.
But seriously I think we'll win against 2 division rivals and win a few more games. So I'm guessing 5-11.

I was speaking specifically toward this attitude that opposing fans are the enemy. They are not, they are welcome here in Indianapolis.
Lets not forget that we're hosting a Super Bowl this year and our hospitality should be in full throttle.
I think you're making quite the leap here. No one is promoting violence or not welcoming opposing fans. What would you have the local bars do? Pull down their Colts decorations and put up whatever team is coming to play? There's a difference between the Super Bowl, which is a neutral site game, and a teams home game. By all means, come wearing your Steelers jersey and spend your money here, but I don't think we need to put up a bunch of black and gold banners to welcome them.

Are you trying to say that this isn't a smart business move?
I said I don't blame him for trying to drum up some business, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it "smart".
-
Funny...when Howl at The Moon did the same thing for the playoff game with the Ravens everyone was up in arms. Now all of the sudden it's a "smart business move." I don't blame the guy for drumming up business, but it's never a good idea to give the local fan base something to complain about.

I'll be at the game and cheering loudly. I won't be booing, but I might be cursing a lot!

You guys make me think of the quote from Thomas Jefferson, "“A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both, and deserve neither”.
I've heard that quote bandied about and it's always misapplied as it is here. Pat down or not there are alredy plenty of restrictions in place. You give up many little liberties to attend a game or even just live in our society. So by definition of this quote we already deserve neither. If you don't believe me try excercising your freedom to carry a cooler full of pop into the game.

I don't like being touched by strangers. All this bogus security has more to do with legal liability and insurance clauses than anything else.
You should fly through Israel at some point. Now there's some security!
-
If it keeps me safer, I don't have a problem with it. I've been patted down at every home game I've attended, but it's been a pretty quick wipe of the arms. I usually bring in my camera back and it would be VERY easy to sneak something into the stadium. I'm not talking about a tazer, but someone could easily get a gun in or explosive. I'm all for some enhanced security measures, I just hope they've hired more screeners. The lines were long to begin with!

No surprise here. Downtown business owners are already scrambling in near panic because they fear the lost revenue. This is a proactive measure to keep people in the stands. Its kinda scary when you think about it. The Colts success over the last decade has transformed downtown Indy. The Colts future potential failure could do the same thing, however this transformation is less flattering.
I think you're missing the mark. There isn't any organized holder of a large number of tickets to make a "proactive measure to keep people in the stands." What we are seeing is basic supply and demand. Supply is going up and demand is not there at historical prices. Thus the price needs to drop to balance things out. Additionally, while the Colts are a definite catalyst for downtown, there are only 10 or so home games a year. A much bigger loss for downtown would be the NBA lockout or a loss of a major convention. The loss of Colts revenue will be felt for sure, but unless the stadium is empty (and it won't be) there will still be a brisk business of downtown patrons before, during, and after the game.

Is it just me or would Sherlock Holmes have problems finding this forum? It keeps moving around on the website.
Is there an easier way to find the forum?
I have it bookmarked, but there is a link directly on the main page. Scroll down a bit and look on the right hand side. There is a box adverting The Forum Credit Union Fan Forum.

If you're counting on the season being over, don't forget about high draft picks. That will help plug some of the holes.

Good for Bob. Hope he can last the season, but I doubt he will.

Hoping for a speedier return. I'm think IR would be better - they took a section from his hip to put in his neck.
Team has to do something to make it worth it for him. yikes.
I don't expect him to be back, but my thought is he's not on IR so he can get reps in with the first team offense in December if he is well enough. It's basically the same thing they did with the PUP. They took him off so he could get some practice in and test things out. Hopefully the test goes a little better though.

I think we'll be running the ball more. Not power running up the middle, but short passes and runs.
-
It takes time to go through each phase. Unfortunately it will take a lot of games and an answer to the question of whether he will be back late in the season or not for some people to get to acceptance.
-
kinda unfair for baskett since nobody were prepared for the onside kick in SB. He was there alone and unaware of the situation. After these yrs I think we'd not blame him that much.
Hank Baskett was playing football in the NFL. There isn't an excuse for not being prepared on a kickoff. What makes it even worse is he said he recovered the ball and then let go before the whistle. Just plain stupid.

Too bad for Moore. He earned a roster spot last year and then lost it by getting injured. He missed his chance to prove himself.
-
Peyton was never going to stay on the PUP. Taking him off is just part of the natural course of action. There's no way the Colts would let him miss 6 weeks. It doesn't mean he's healed any faster.
-
It's a cap move. They sign him over 2 years. Carry him for the entire season (doubt he would come back just to be cut after a few games). Then they cut him next league year. They spread out what he wanted for one year over two years. Smart cap management.
-
there was no set back, he is not fully healed people are worried about his injury yet there is no way how hes missing it
We can't say for sure there was no setback. Remember when Peyton had a 2nd surgery on his knee? The Colts are very tight lipped and who knows what could be happening.
-
I think the late signing was a mix of things. Unfortunately one of those things is potentially Peyton not healing as well as they thought he would. If that is the case, then who knows when he will really be back. Remember, it was only supposed to be around 6 weeks healing time. Another factor was probably Painter not coming along as well as they wanted. Polian expects the biggest leap in ability to come after the rookie year. I know some don't want to hear about the lockout, but without OTA's and other activities the Colts didn't have an opportunity to see how Painter was progressing.
-
He knows this is a make or break year. If he isn't healthy most of the season, no team is going to sign him next year. I went with the over, but if we only get him for the under then I'd rather see him play at the end of the season.
Which would be the best seat to get for first timer

Probably depends on personal preference. I sit in row 4 of the 600 level sideline. I prefer the 600 level sideline to a lower level end zone, but that's just me. To each his own. You best bet is to look at what sections are available and then use Google to see pictures from that section.
