then maybe the cardnals would have newton, and then they would never of traded for kevin kolb, who never would of left the eagles
-
I'd say either Johnny U or of course Peyton.
-
Well the questions in the topic. Who is the best colt to win a superbowl (while playing for the colts)
-
Ever heard of a guy named Caleb Hanie?
i think hanie is a tad bit better than painter, id much rather have hanie behind andrew luck than painter.
-
But as stated earlier, they tend to go for Blocking TE's more than Receiving - even previously, Kevin Boss isn't exactly Rob Gronkowski is he. I think we've got a slight chance...
i know and thats exactly what i was saying. almost no chance and slight chance are basically the same thing in my opinion
-
They still have Martellus Bennett, Travis Beckum and Bear Pascoe. Think they go for Doug Martin myself.
but out of all those guys who is really that great, bennett has under achieved, and travis beckum and pascoe were average at best last year.
-
Colts will probably try to get a diamond in the ruff in later rounds then. I too would like a more proven TE but was Clark well known for his college game? Let's get a CB or NT in round 2 then.
well clark was a 1st around draft pick, so he had to of atleast had some decent college game.
-
Almost no chance we get coby fleener now, jake balard needed more surgery for the giants.
-
Lets have curtis painter on the cover, i mean there is no way how the guy could get worse.
-
i thought he was pretty cool. but i dont see how somebody with that much money could go bankrupt. its ridiculous .
-
If were considering taking a troubled player like Jenkins in the 2nd round why not take another in the 5th or 6 th? Cliff Harris was supposed to be a first rounder too.
i wouldn't mind us taking harris if available in the sixth
-
Nice, let's pick up the guy who failed a physical... that really makes sense
well yeah, it does, you could get him for cheap and imo hes better than lefeged, look at the stats of their rookie years. jackson 56 tackles, and 2 ints, lefeged 2 ints and 34 tackles. plus jackson had 13 pass defended and lefeged only had 4. so it seems like jackson is the better tackler and pass cover guy if he can get back healthy.
-
You think they're not even good backups? Thats a little harsh, Lefeged has good potential.
once again sorry to pick on you but i really hate that word "potential" i saw it in another status, and i really don't see where you see all this all pro potential from.

Met with A Luck#12 n Indy 2day for 3 hrs;it's easy 2c why the #1 pick n this Stanford phenom has been synonymous with each other 4over 2 yrs
-
well outside of bethea and zbi we don't have anyone good, although i do like lefege
-
Played for the bucs, was solid with character problems, and injury problems, pick him up?
-
Thoughts and prayers go out to kiel family.
-
hopefully we can get this guy, but if not avaible hopefully we can get fleener

Wow, this is one of the most over all ridiculous posts I have ever seen. Great players are inconsistent especially in their 2nd years. Oh well, after that post I can tell it doesn't really matter what is said you will say the same things. Never mind little things like facts like the amount of targets in his zone were roughly half the amount of targets in the zone when Lacey was the starter or the average runs outside RT dropped 0.4 ypc with Thomas in there.
Lastly, no one said he was great, just that he showed flashes of being an excellent CB.
no one said was great he JUST showed flashes of being an excellent CB. thats a bit of streach in my opinion, and i agree he's a imporvement over lacy, and i want to be wrong, i would love for thomas to be a great corner. BUT it seems like SOME of you gys on here are hyping him up a little bit too much.. but like i said, id love for him to be good, i just don't see it happening.

Happy Easter!

Only because you either have not looked or you don't see when it happens.
well let me put it this way.. he's had two years so far to show his talents, he couldn't get on the field his first year. so he rehabbed and watched film (probably). second year he only had a couple good plays, really inconsistant, curtis painter is the same way. great players arent inconsistant, with all due respect i think you guys are in love with this guy for really no reason at all.

What is your point exactly? Very few players join your team fully formed. Should Peyton have been benched during his first season because the he was throwing a ton of interceptions and the team was losing constantly? Guess what, he had potential. Fortunately he was given the opportunity to develop. What is your suggestion, that a third round draft pick be released after playing 1/2 a season because he didn't play like an all-pro? Frankly my only problem with the situation is that he (and Rucker) weren't allowed to play the entire season, because it was to the teams long term benefit that they see the field as much as possible.
there is a diffrence between a 1st overall pick and a third round draft pick who missed the whole season due to a training camp injury.
-
So because there have been guys in the NFL that did not live up to their potential then it's a bad phrase to use? Get this Manning had potential, so did Eli, and Brees and Walter Payton, and Harrison and Jerry Rice and Joe Montana and Favre and.... every great that has ever played the game, no one comes into the NFL a finished product. KT does have potential, he has shown flashes of excellent CB play and needs to work on his consistency... that is potential. Plus he has shown to have the work ethic and intelligence that are needed to convert his potential into playing ability.
well anybody can be good. and he has yet to show me he will be good.

painter was a sixth round pick drafted to be a back up qb and thomas was drafted in the third round probably with an eye on him to be a second or third corner very reasonable expectations for a third round cornerback pick. If you can't see the difference there and understand guys tend to need more than 9 games to show you what they will be in this league as a cornerback I don't know what to tell ya. Also for the record there have been no stories question either painters or Thomas's work ethic so to question it is a bit unfair. In fact the fact Thomas has already over come a major knee injury seems to suggest he has a very strong work ethic.
well obviously he only played a couple of games, i just don't think hes going to be any better than a fourth corner.
