Every FA ever signed is overpayed. It's called market and getting your guy over other teams.

Well I haven't really commented on any of the signings...just a general we clearly are paying guys what we believe their production to be and not what they've done....i said I was worried most about Walden....but yes...people want those big names...and we got smaller named guys signed to big contracts....but we see a lot of the structuring was done to pay guys IF they produce and we are learning more about their roles...I'm happier....not thrilled but happier.
Landry and Clerius are not small names, and are the only ones that got decent contracts, everyone else got ok contracts but seems the colts have a way out. idk where people are getting BIG Contracts at ?

Great pick if you like ignoring obvious needs. There are other positions out there other then the sexy potions like WR and RB. People watched to much of Bill Polian and got their mind warped.
WR is a obvious need. We filled a lot of needs in the FA. dont know where you have been, but WR has jumped up to or near the top, with a Guard, maybe maybe OLB, ILB.

I was calling this because we didnt pull off the trade for a WR. Whether we trade down or not i believe if a WR is there, we will pull the trigger, cause from what we have heard is we are badly wanting another receiver

You're misreading me.....
But you talked about Walden being a guy whose primary responsibility it is to set the edge and then talked about Mathis being our rush guy.
My only point is.... that's not enough. We need more. We need a lot more. I want to slow and contain the running game as much as the next fan.... but we've got to be able to pressure the QB, and so that's going to include Walden.
I'm hoping for at least 8 sacks from each.... that may not be realistic... but as of today, that's my goal...
While i have the same thoughts, i think with the upgrades on the line and in LB core, we will be ok. We have a lot of depth to rotate guys in and out and keep them fresh. Walden, whether you like him or not will be fine. If you watch the guy he has some nice pressures and moves when rushing but sets the edge better. Not to mention last year was the first year in the new defense, i expect the Colts to bring pressure from different ways and stunts, more so then last year. Mark my word. Walden will be the steal of the FA

Gains, what Redding. Zibby suck, satale sucked. winston was hurt, with mcglynn and the whole line or they underperformed. Avery was ok

saturday was a starter most of the season. and 49ers get stronger. 14 picks and they get a 4th pick so now 15 wth!

fact still remains he outperformed what Brazill managed to do all season long, I dont care who wins the job, I give the edge to Whalen do to his familiarity with the system, I'd ideally like to have a tall wr that can go over the middle and make the tough catch in traffic
He didnt outperform anyone cause he never saw the field during the regular season...

15 games played 11 receptions to show for it probably have alot to do with it in 2012, Whalen had 12 catches in 2 preseason, yeah I know people will be quick to dismiss it because of preseason but fact of the matter is Brazill could not even match what Whalen did in 2 games when Brazill played in 15, Griff has a knack for getting open and Brazill just dont consistently

Bethea is a pro bowl caliber safety and is only 28 he wouldn't cost as much as Landry.
What if Bethea wants to test the market, or get paid like a probowler ? IMO bethea is only a little above average and i have posted the stats and my opinions to make a agruement. He could easily be replaced if we decide to go safety, More of a ballhawk guy, let landry play near the box.

Well going by your draft strategy what if Vaccarro falls to us who has a grade of 94 and Hunter grade of 90 we would draft Vaccarro just because he's a few points higher.We already have 2 great safeties, why would we do that makes no sense?
How, when Betheas contract is up next year ? More cost efficient, and might be better

First time i agree with Blood. BPA in general is whats going to happen. They have someone drop to them they love they will pull the trigger. I could see ILB, OLB, WR, OG, FS SS,or even CB

I really wouldnt mind getting a ILB first if a good one falls to us.I love baby Ray, but im not sold the other 2 are made for this system. WR can be found in 3rd 4th round too...ie hilton.

Would love to get Jones but most seem to think he has a bottom of the 3rd round pick by those that do the ratings at NFL.com, take it for what its worth. I dont see how in the world he plummeted that far I still think he is worth a bottom of the 1st top of the 2nd worthy pick
I also see him going in top to mid 2nd round. Hes to versatile to drop to the 3rd imo

Absolutely nothing as yet SuperJoe 33! We are only 24 hours and 50 minutes into FA. Why do fans think it is all the first three hours?
43 days until the draft....more players will be cut like Bernard Pollard....has Cary Williams signed? Barwin? Vollmer? Cason? Gohlston? there is some serious 'stuff' to still be done.....
I feel we have a couple of surprises coming....may be from Raven land....I think Landry is going to sighn out West with SF...I may be wrong.
I am looking forward to the draft...but way too soon...more FA to come!!!

With olb or CB and dline being addressed in FA I don't see the colts getting one early in the draft. The FO feels too good about the players they picked up. I say OG, WR C And ILB are needs in that order.
