  1. Yeah, I don't know about all of that. I thought we presented matchup issues for your team in the first game, and I still think that. Not only has our offense shown a bit more explosiveness since then, but Dwayne Allen will play more than 14 snaps this week, and hopefully the defense does a better job and we get more than 56 plays. I still don't think the Pats can handle TY one on one, and if they bracket him, they'll have to figure out a way to cover Fleener and Allen.

By the way, those five catches and 118 yards came specifically against Browner. The other two were against Collins, who's really, really good, but he'll have his hands full. I don't think it matters that Fleener didn't go for 100 yards every week; that's kind of unreasonable. He ate well against the Pats, and has beaten all kinds of LBs and safeties this year.

Oh, and then the Ravens and Flacco gave that pass defense fits. Our weapons are better, and our QB is better. I think the Pats can be attacked through the air. Revis is great. McCourty is really good. They scheme well, and execute well. But they are going to have to cover every inch of that field on Sunday.

Weapons better?  I don't know.. Ed Dickson, Steve Smith, Torrey Smith, Justin Forsette are really really good.. I'm just saying..  T.Y Hilton ok, but Coby Fleener < Steve Smith, Dwayne Allen < Torrey Smith, Justin Forsette > Herron

  2. Brady and Manning are Bird and Magic.  Luck is Jordan.  Luck has more natural talent, strength and speed than Brady and Manning and eventually, (like Jordan) he takes his rightful place at the top.  (side note...I'm actually a Bird fan but that didn't help my analogy).

No direspect but you are in * for saying this... Jordan had titles just like Brady, Luck has zero.. Talk about being a biased fan, you must be like 12 years old or something.

  3. I want to see if they will leave Revis with no help on T.Y.  Honestly I don't think Revis could shut T.Y. down.

I think T.Y. will win his fair share of plays, especially on the deep ball.  I don't think Revis has the jets to run

with T. Y.  down the field.  He'd probably also give him some trouble on crossing routes.

He might not have the Jets but he has the range, experience and intel.. which are all 3 huge factors of advantage.

  4. I want to see if they will leave Revis with no help on T.Y.  Honestly I don't think Revis could shut T.Y. down.

Revis handled him well last game I believe

  5.

No way Tom throws that much against us. The Ravens secondary was dreadful and Tom picked on two guys like the whole game, one of them coming off the practice squad.

They are going to run it on us like 40 times and try to wear down the defense, then they will pass. It's worked for them in the past, I have no doubt if we take the run away we have a shot.

Speaking of secondaries, the Pats secondary did not play all that good, Revis didn't have a good game, same for Browner who I thought was bad. They are a lot more vulnerable than I though. Of course the Ravens have the threat of a running game. I still think with solid protection and attacking the right parts of their secondary we can do some damage.

They didn't play well but they are still extremely talented and made plays when they had to.. can't compare games.. the capability is still there to dominate a game defensively, especially with the personnel so I'm sure the Colts will plan accordingly.

  6. The Colts DB's versus those wide receivers is a wash. The Broncos have better receivers overall and the Colts shut them down big time. However, Gronk is the one player they can't account for going straight up against the board and the only Pats offensive skill player that really worries me as a Colts fan.

The only receiver that the Broncos have thats OVERALL better than LaFell or Edelman are Demaryius Thomas, I'll give you that... both Edelman and LaFell are 1,000 yard receivers and PLAY HARDER than the other Bronco receivers not named D-Thomas, especially when the stakes are higher.. And don't forget Danny Amendola who right now is better than Wes.. Just saying.. can't compare .. different week, different schemes and Peyton is not Tom Brady

  7. People often lose sight of Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell who have been beating one on one coverage routinely for the last 9 to 10 weeks.. Additionally, TE Tim Wright can hurt you and Danny Amendola has been a playmaker for the last few games and has really risen and is playing at a high level right now.. I think doubling Gronk and bracketing him would be a mistake.. Not to mention Shane Vereen out of the backfield matchup up on linebackers and safeties which Vereen would eat alive... And can't forget about the power running game of Jonas Gray and LeGarrette Blount of course.  Gronk is not the only weapon of course, a variety of different weapons that can hurt you in a variety of different ways.

  8. Luck will struggle against Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Dennard, Chung, Devin McCourty and their slew of cornerbacks and safeties under the direction of Bill Belichick.. also look out for Rob Ninkovich and Jamie Collins.. different schemes, looks, disguises post snap, exotic looks, etc.. enough to fool and confuse Luck and bait him on interceptions and forced throws.. the best secondary he has had to work with in years..

  9. Rob Ninkovich better be spying (lol pun intended from spygate teehee), because if he doesn't Luck will torch him.  You think Gronk is hard for a LB to cover?  So is DA and Coby Fleener!

Luck has never torched him before... I'm think Luck will throw Ninkovich and Collins some picks like Manning has

  10. Rob Ninkovich better be spying (lol pun intended from spygate teehee), because if he doesn't Luck will torch him.  You think Gronk is hard for a LB to cover?  So is DA and Coby Fleener!

Jamie Collins shutdown Coby Fleener last year so what the heck are you talking about?

  11. Yea our DB's suck, just Darius Butler who's even good in the nickel for 2 years now and Greg Toler who has been one of the top #2's in the league when healthy... Oh and that Davis guy arguably the top corner in the league.... Yea but outside of that we suck

So Toler and Butler are Revis, Sherman, Peterson, Grimes, Haden, Browner, Talib.. etc.

  12. 18 pages of this lol.

The way to stop the Pats is to line up and smack them in the mouth. Pressure Brady up the middle and take Gronk away. Play aggressive physical Colts football.

I don't think this will be a close game. They can not stop our offense. And our D is awesome at home.

You are dumb for saying this.. they kept Peyton out of the endzone and have 7 picks on Luck over his career .. why the heck would you say something like this?  And I think Talib, Ware, Miller, Trevathan, Potroast, TJ Ward and those guys are better than your defensive guys.. just saying.. your corners have been playing good but Antonio Brown did work.. if he can, then so can Gronk, Edelman and LaFell.. and that was with Ben throwing the ball.. this is Tom Brady.. the best stats the last 5 games for a QB in football

  13. That's one metric. I think the production and greater explosiveness of the other two is more lethal.

Jimmy Graham has been more healthy than Gronk, thats the only difference.. When Gronk is healthy like he is now, no tightend produces more and I have the numbers to prove that he is the most lethal offensive weapon in football thats not a quarterback

  14. Bill Belichick has the best secondary that he has had since the days of Ty Law, Rodney Harrison, Otis Smith and etc.. and now with top corners on the outside to match and a deep cornerback poole he can mix and match, and design and scheme at will while Rob Ninkovich can be used as a spy.. either him or Jamie Collins.. Luck has to be careful in this game.. He'll see alot of stuff post snap that will trick him and throw him off.

  15. I don't think blitzing Brady will be smart but everybody knows that so why even bring it up?  What happens when you blitz Brady or Rodgers?  You get burned.  With Rob Gronkowski, he is the league's best tightend and offensive weapon and makes everybody around him better.  The receivers for New England don't get a lot of publicity but they can, and will beat one on one coverage because they have been doing it for the last 5 weeks against some very good defensive backs.  They are decisive in their routes, very smart and intelligent at reading defense and are all versatile and line up all over the place in multiple settings and personnel packages specifically design to attack the weak part of defenses.. and they all have sure hands.  And for those that don't know, Danny Amendola has also been converting key third downs, moving the chains right behind Julian Edelman and Brandon LaFell.  Additionally, the 6'3 and 6'4 deep threat speedsters Aaron Dobson and Brian Tyms will be getting in on the act as well, and it seems like everything TE/WR Tim Wright has caught has been a touchdown.. Not to mention Shane Vereen on linebackers is a mismatch down field and underneath, safeties as well.. and everyone from Von Miller, Demarcus Ware, Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, Willie Young, Marcell Dareus,... etc, etc.. the offensive line for New England, Sebastian Vollmer, Bryan Stork, and Nate Solder have been mauling and destroying every defensive line in sight.. I'm only going to say this one more time, in order for Indy to win this game they have to score at least 40 points.. that's not downing Indy that's just speaking the truth.  I'm just keeping it real, it is what it is.

  16. I didn't know it was possible to fit this much presumptuousness in one post. And that user name...

    1) By the numbers, yes, the Colts have a better offense than both the Broncos and the Patriots. And while the Broncos have better receivers, our offense is run differently, so a good matchup vs the Broncos doesn't equal a good matchup vs the Colts. And I'll ask you the same thing I keep asking, which you just glossed over: Who is going to cover TY Hilton?

    2) The Colts secondary has also matched up better with receivers than the Broncos have. Again, matchups vary. Can't just say "Brady torched the Broncos, so that means he's going to be good against the Colts." The only no brainer advantage the Pats have is Gronk. I don't know what we're going to do about him. But while Edelman and LaFell have been productive, our corners will match up well.

    3) I'd love to see the Pats try to use Tim Wright as much as possible. The Pats would be much better served to rely on Gronk and Edelman. Wright isn't going to beat us.

    4) Already touched on, but Vontae is better than Talib this season.

    5) LOL at you can't blitz Brady. He's been far less effective vs the blitz. I don't think we're going to blitz him all day, but selective blitzing will be effective. Effective pass rush will be key, however.

    6) Yeah, Brady's really good... I guess the Colts might as well not show up. (Meanwhile, Luck leads the league in yards and TDs, and has a nice cache of weapons to throw to himself.)

    7) I'll give you a bonus point here: You're not in Gillette for this one. You can't rely on the biggest homefield advantage in the AFC. You can't use the wind to your advantage against a 38 year old QB.

It's going to be a good game. I don't know how it's going to play out, and I definitely don't know how we're going to cover Gronk. If we can't pressure Brady, we're toast.

But I think it's kind of comical that all of you Pats fans are taking up residence here for the next two weeks to tell us how great the Pats are, all the while magnifying the Pats strengths and wishing away their weaknesses. And then, on the flip side, you magnify the Colts weaknesses and minimize what they do well and the matchup advantages they have. It's almost like you have a bias. Feel free to continue to grace us with your "Football Knowledge," but I don't think you're even trying to be objective.

This is all I have to say. We are at home and will hear Brady this, Brady that all week long and will come to play.

Darius Butler has the short area quickness to deal with Edelman, Gronk is the biggest problem. I'd almost be tempted to play Vontae Davis on Gronk and force the Pats to run and our DL has improved vs the run. Toler can handle Lafell. If Tim Wright plays, it is a give away that it is a pass play because his run blocking is not up to snuff and Tim Wright is not as good as Aaron Hernandez, at least not yet. Freeman can handle Vereen.

On offense, Dwayne Allen and Reggie Wayne will be the chain movers while Revis shadows T.Y. and Belichick does not like to blitz as much because that allows him to disguise coverage and pass rush better. One thing he does not have to worry vs Peyton is getting out of the pocket, which he will have to vs Luck. Also, Luck is pretty random about who he targets because our offense is not really a timing offense like Peyton's but an offense that is predicated a lot on the sandlot abilities of Luck. Different dynamic, IMO. If Luck does not turn the ball over and give Brady a short field, if it is a 60 minute game, I like the Colts chances.

LOL when you said that the wind was in favor of the Patriots.. excuses when in the first half Peyton had the wind on his side.. smh and use that 38 year old quarterback crap lol.. but that same 38 year old QB has been breaking records and torching defenses before he got shut out of the endzone by the Patriots...

And putting Vontae on Gronk?  How tall is Vontae he is 5'11.. you are saying put Vontae on Gronk and force us to run?  So if Aqib Talib and other BETTER cornerbacks can't shutdown Gronk you expect Vontae Davis to just because Vontae is a Colt and you feel like he is the best CB in the game because you are a Colts fan and you are arrogant enough to say that he will shutdown Gronk?  Are you serious right now? ..

Darius Butler has short area quickness for Edelman to do with?  Guess who Butler use to play for?...  and I guess Joe Haden, Patrick Peterson, Brent Grimes and other CBs he has beaten in the past don't have short area quickness as well huh? lol ok whatever you say

Now one thing I agree with is that Jerrell Freeman is excellent and one of the best linebackers in the league, that I agree with and Darius Butler has been playing well since being a Colt, particularly this season and Vontae is a top 10 CB BUT he is not better than Talib.. just stop.. nor does he have the size to cover Gronk, who destroyed Talib when Talib was on him.

And then you say by the numbers about the Colts.. I get it, Andrew Luck is one of the best.. that kid the sky is the limit but he also needs to limit his mistakes.. he is a top 10 most def, maybe even a top 5.. but Peyton > Luck, Demaryius Thomas > T.Y Hilton, ... who else Indy has?  Reggie Wayne ok, I'll give you that but is he the same? Right now Wayne < Emmanuel Sanders, Julius Thomas > Coby Fleener...

And here is an interesting stat.. whether in Indy or Foxboro  .. Luck has never beaten Tom and Belichick.. and this has to be the best secondary Belichick has had... Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Devin McCourty, Alfonzo Dennard, Logan Ryans, and Patrick Chung are playing out of their minds, they communicate well, play physical, smart, schematically smart, get hands on receivers, reroute receivers, play with great technique, and know each others strengths.. and are coached up well by Matt Patricia and Belichick, very disciplined.. they will bait Luck and abuse those receivers.. reminds me of Milloy, Harrison and Law.. those days except this secondary is younger ... oh and I'm sure Andrew Luck remembers Jamie Collins all too well.

  17. You should be confident that the Patriots can beat the Colts because they're 7-2, and playing really good football.  As I'm not worried about the Patriots coming to Lucas Oil Stadium on SNF and beating the Colts.  You have 2 good points.  It will be very difficult if not impossible to stop Gronk.  He will get some catches and maybe a TD or 2, but Brady and Gronk isn't going to win the game by themselves.  When I look at the matchup I think the Colts have the better offense, and perhaps even the better defense.  I'm aware that the Patriots secondary is alot better but our CB's are as good as any in the league, our Safties have played very well besides the Steelers game, and during a primetime game @home you can bet energy will be flowing and our pass rush will be fired up.  I think we will cause more pressure on Brady than Patriots will do to Luck.

I agree Luck hasn't put on his big boy pants against the Patriots yet.  So it's about due, huh?  Don't think for a second Luck can't throw for another 300+ yd and  multiple TD game against the Patriots.  He has done it to about every team this year.  Don't hold Luck accountable for the playoff game last season.  He had a terrible game and still even put up big numbers.  TY is the only WR playing from that game, that will be in this matchup coming up.  He had a solid evening as well.  Now our WR tandem is the best in the league, and we have D.A. back, who is having himself a monsterous year.

The Colts have the best offense in the league, and their defense is revamped also.  We can actually stop the run something that wasn't a strong point for years and the 3rd down efficiency is stellar on defense.  We hit hard and CB's are very good at intercepting passes.

I look for it to be a great game, and wont be surprised whoever wins, but I think the Colts will pull it out 37-33.

    A few things...

First of all Indy has a great offense and an outstanding quarterback with an underrated defense so I don't want to hear any hate at all from anybody... now lets get to business..

    1) Colts have a better offense than New England Patriots and Denver Broncos?  We all know about T.Y Hilton .. but my thing is how healthy is Reggie Wayne?  And is Coby Fleener a guy that can dominate a game the way Rob Gronkowski can.. I don't even think he could the way Julius Thomas can.. OLB Jamie Collins for the Patriots if I'm not mistaking pretty much shut him down and took him out of the game last season... If teams take away T.Y Hilton then who else can Indy use without the neutralization of Coby Fleener?  Trent Richardson (And I'm such a huge Alabama fan) so talented but yet so inconsistent, Donald Brown is better.  Luck, so talented and a dual threat but yet.. is prone to making mistakes and has always been a victim of Bill Belichick complex and exotic defenses.. what sucks for Luck right now is that the last 5 weeks the New England secondary has found its niche and has some top heavy defenders that weren't even present the last time Indy and New England met.. so Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Devin McCourty, guys like that are licking their chops to get their hands of a few balls thrown their way.. maybe even Jamie Collins again, getting into the mix.  Brandon Browner shutdown Julius Thomas vs DEN last week, and he wasn't even playing for NE the last time these two teams played, so he could be used the same way on Fleener, freeing up Jamie Collins to do damage else where.

    2) Tom Brady torched a Denver secondary and defense that was a top a lot of categories.. and he did it in an explosive and decisive fashion.. hitting big play after big play down field, underneath, across the middle .. where ever.. Rob Gronkowski simply cannot be stopped and like Mike Ditka said "maybe the best tightend I've ever seen with all do respect to Tony Gonzalez, what Gronk does cannot be duplicated" .. which he will score touchdowns and make big plays.. that is a given, nothing anyone can do to stop.. as a matter of fact, a healthy Gronk through full seasons the last 5 years could have gave New England a few more Lombardi Trophies for sure.. You can bracket him, but the mistake that other teams have been making is not respecting the other weapons that despite popular belief have been beating one on one coverage consistently and easily the last 5 weeks.. guys like Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell and even Danny Amendola find ways to get open and move the chains on third downs.. Shane Vereen as well.. these guys are extremely smart, intelligent route runners and are versatile and are used in a variety of different ways in a multitude of formations and designs on the inside and outside.. and with Gronk, they will see one on one looks and will get open.. its just the way it is..

    3) The return of the two tightend set to New England has been a great move of great success which makes defense play honest, which also allows for confusions in settings, snap counts and rotation of secondary and linebacker personnel for the opposing teams.. Now that you have to respect TE Tim Wright's receiving ability deep and over the middle, you don't know if he is going out for a route, or if Gronk is going to block for a run play.. and defenses press back on it because they are uncertain.. leads to big plays..

    4) Brandon LaFell - has become one of the better receivers in the game, you can say what you want but the facts are the facts.. he cooked Aqib Talib a few times last game, and have been getting open against the BETTER cornerbacks in the game one on one.. so if he can vs guys like Talib and etc.. then no offense to Vontae, Vontae is the man but look out.. LaFell is big, strong, fast and smart and has good hands..

    5) The Offensive line for New England is back.. plain and simple.. they absolutely MAN HANDLED Von Miller and Demarcus Ware .. Bryan Stork, Sebastian Vollmer and Nate Solder.. these guys have been playing out of their minds and have been mauling everybody.. and without Robert Mathis on the outside I don't see any penetration in this game at all, and you CANNOT blitz Brady.

    6) My last point.. Brady.. The last 5 games, 120 passer rating, 18 TDs, 1 INT (of his receiver's hands), 69 Completion percentage, averaging 40 points a game, averaging 350 yards a game through the air, the four game stretch prior to DEN.. a 129.4 passer rating which was during that stretch, a league lead passer rating through 4 games, and has the best offense weapon in football period to throw to ..

Indy is an outstanding team, don't get it twisted at all I get it.. trust me so don't take offense to this post but the only way they will win this game, even at home is if they score AT LEAST 40 points.. if they don't I assure you, they will loose.. you may not like it, you may disagree but it is what it is.. right now New England's coaching, Bill Belichick, that staff, those schemes, that defense, that secondary, Tom, Gronk, Edelman those weapons, all of that stuff is a well oiled machine right now that's crushing teams man, just crushing teams.. good and bad.. Indy has to play their best game of the season to have a chance.. don't bring up Kansas City, Oak.. that's irrelevant this is a different team, different mentality and mindset and playing at a whole other level right now.. Indy will have to play their best to have a shot

  18. Brady had 'near' loses in his 3 SB wins. Yet he is a GOAT candidate. Stop being stupid.

You had a lot of great quarterbacks in the HOF with much worse numbers then Tom (Tom and Peyton have similar numbers, both top 5 all time in most passing categories, only difference is Peyton played longer 1998 vs 2001 when Tom came in) that never even made it to the Superbowl, and some great QBs with only one ring that will be in the Hall so this statement alone is stupid.. How can he not be a GOAT Candidate?  I hate fans that use ignorance and stupidity towards hatred of a player not recognizing their greatness.. For example, I can't stand Kurt Warner but I'm not going to disregard that he is one of the best quarterbacks of all time.  Look at Tom's passer ratings in the last two superbowls that he won.. (not to mention he has been to two more) both over 93 rating and at least 2 TDs, and 250 yards against two great defenses (CAR 03, PHI 04).. and his clutch performance in the first SB.. strategically marching his team down field.. IN THE CLUTCH like he has done so often.. I hate haters.. makes me not want to discuss football because with haters you can't talk or debate because of lack of logic

  19. I think Patriots will win because of the masterful coaching of the GOAT Belichick and the GOAT Brady.. that power run game, explosive passing game and great defense, keeping opponents to just 17 points a game the last three weeks on average.  And they actually have alot of playmakers on the defensive side of the ball, some real marquee players that no one talks about.  Not to mention outstanding special teams, a great team New England has... they play great as a team.

  20. Broncos will win it all. Pats won't be able to run on that defense and they don't have enough play makers. 49ers and Seahawks offenses are too inconsistent. The team that had the best chance at beating the Broncos were the Packers because of their ability to score with so many weapons but they don't match up well vs the 49ers. I think the Broncos will blow out the Patriots.

Like Trent Dilfer said, Edelman and Amendola are very skilled and are plenty for playmakers both outside and in the slot, and Tom Brady is Tom Brady.  And Shane Vereen is the best pass catching running back in football, period.

  21. Brady is a perfect 3-0 in Championship games when he is the underdog by at least 5.5 points and he is a 6.5 underdog this week.  And if the Patriots can run on tackles like Haloti Ngata, Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams, and etc then they will have no problems running against the Broncos who don't have the personnel up front, especially with the way Logan Mankins and that MONSTER O-Line is blocking now, they are on a whole new level right now.
