  1. Here's a link to an article where Archie Manning gives his take on Peyton/Andrew together:

    http://profootballta...mmates/related/

Doesn't sound like he thinks it would work. That's too bad for those of us fans who are hoping for the best of both worlds. Oh well, I guess it's best not to fret over those things we cannot control. Let's just keep hoping and praying for a speedy FULL recovery for our main man Peyton.

I wouldnt mind having Andrew Luck but he will take years to develop. I would just HATE to see Peyton (as much as any other Colts player) in a different uniform...I would rather see him retire but he loves football too much

  2. aw man. i thought i was the only one who believed the Ravens were going to the Super Bowl. lol.

They have a solid defense that would probably stop the Saints and the Packers. I really see an upset against anyone who faces them. Similar to the one in 2000 Super Bowl. I hope the Saints go and get humiliated! That would be the greatest day ever since our Colts lost...

    :D

  3. Helps that they get 6 easy wins against crap teams. The only impressive game was their Giants game, but they haven't really beat anyone good. They lost to the Boys and the Ravens, two good teams. I fell you OP, Im not sold either, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have a playoff run because good Ds take you a long way... cough cough 2006 Bears cough cough.

agreed. Plus the Giants can be very inconsistent at times. I dont even think they will win their game after their bye week in the playoffs. Wild Card has come strong and basically won every super bowl in the past few years...

  4. while you are looking at SF's schedule, you might want to check out GB's schedule . . . .

Among the teams u mentioned, SF did play Dallas (who are leading the NFC East), Cinn and the 5-0 Lions in the handshake game, so they have faced some tough teams . . . my guess is that SF schedule is as tough as any top tier team . . . we'll just have to wait and see how the rest of the year unfolds . . . but they have won 10 games, one more than any team in the AFC . . .

Cowboys and Cinci were struggling at those points it was at the very beginning of the season

  5. who the colts will never sign anyway so lets get rid of that speculation.

    http://nfltraderumors.co/2012-nfl-free-agents/

Just really interested in the picture:

Maybe we should give Bob Sanders a second chance? lol.

    -Drew Brees

    -Wes Welker

    -Matt Forte

    -Andrew Foster

I believe that Drew Brees will obviously resign with the Saints. Patriots will maybe let Wes Welker go, Tom Brady has been using all his wide recievers recently and he hasnt been used as much as before. Andrew Foster may want a big contract and maybe the Texans will give it to him? but i think hed be open to go shopping somewhere else if they dont make the playoffs this year.

  6. • Dallas Clarke

    • Dwight Freeney

    • Robert Mathis

    • Reggie Wayne

    • Pierre Garcon

    • Jeff Saturday

I would really hate to see these players in other uniforms. I know that they would want to come back but the truth is that they are aging and we need to start rebuilding. I am confident we will resign Pierre Garcon though. Maybe Dallas or Reggie. But atleast we will still have Austin Collie. I hope we never get rid of him.

  7. i honestly see NO PROBLEM with having Andrew Luck as a backup for 2-3 years. How long was Rodgers a backup to Favre?

If Luck starts next year, he will be good. But if he backs up Peyton and learns, he will be phenomenal.

Were not like the Jets fans or New York Giants fans where a quarterback makes a couple of mistakes and we will call out the backup. The fact of the matter is that most of those quarterbacks are inconsistent. Peyton is NOT!

  8. Manning is smart and knows the Colts need to prepare and move on without him. He knows he only has another 2-3 years within him. And with that, he may even want to be traded after next season to a contender if we go 7-9 or such.

haha...no! i dont see Peyton in a nother uniform besides the Colts. All 31 other teams would be drooling over Peyton Manning. Okay, maybe every team except for Patriots and Packers.

  9. I dont know about you guys but i dont want the colts to go 0-16. But i have a feeling they have one more very winnable game. Carolina at home is a very winnable game for these specific reasons.

Panthers have a terrible defense. The panthers have probably one of the worst defenses next to the colts. But the panthers have allowed 100 + yards in 8 out of there 9 games. Carter and Brown have been doing decent behind a bad line. And i think they will have a great day on the ground with 100 + rushing performance.

The Colts will be coming off a bye. The colts have a bye this week and this will give them 2 weeks to prepare for just the Panthers. This will also rest up some of the injurys they have.

The colts are home. This is a great way to come off a bye to be at your home crowd.

Just from a gut feeling im pretty sure the colts can win this game. Ive been pesamistic lately but here it is they will go 1-15.

i dont know....it depends if Cam Newton is on fire or not...And maybe we will if we have Orvlosky playing, we might have a chance!

  10. HE'S NOT OUT FOR THE YEAR!!

He's out for a several weeks which means 4 weeks out at most. Don't worry too much, they'll keep winning, plus he's not out fro the year!

i dont think so. When the quarterback is left handed, the playbook has to shift differently. Because the playbook was made for right handed. Look at the statistics of where a quarterback tends to throw right handed as opposed to the left handed qb. they did a study on this on NFL Network talking about Chris Simms, Marino, Gannon and so on.

  11. Packers look awesome! They are blowing teams out pretty badly now. Their defense is giving up a lot of yards but not a lot of points and they are pretty much scoring at will. When the Colts had a chance at 14-0 and the Patriots went 16-0, I don't recall either of those teams really blowing teams out week after week. The Colts on the other hand have too many issues besides missing a QB. Who knows, maybe Houston will rest their starters after winning the division and give us a win.

im thinking that even with their backups, they will still win...

Houston is in a bad position right now losing Matt Schaub so they will be looking at a hunt for the wild card late in the season.

  12. Round 1: Someone from Alabama's defense

Round 2: Someone from LSU's defense

Round 3: Someone from Alabama's defense

Round 4: Someone from LSU's defense

Round 5: Someone from Alabama's defense

Round 6: Someone from LSU's defense

Round 7: Someone from Alabama's defense

In all seriousness, I like the draft but I don't think the Eagles will trade for the #1 pick. If we're going to trade down I want to trade with the Dolphins who'll likely have the #2 pick and be desperate enough to give us everything but the kitchen sink, and then trade down again to whoever wants Matt Barkley.

lol i do agree that we might trade the picks from round 1 to round 5. Theres no doubt that the lower the draft pick we have, the more we have to pay them. So why not trade it for a higher draft pick and pay them less? We can get more out of it. Weve been picking high draft picks for the past 10 years since Peyton and have had lots of success.

  13. In the interview Robert Mathias did this week for colts.com. He was asked about the home crowd and third downs and stuff. he said "Surprisingly..Our fans weather the storm with us, They are in here with us...I appreciated it, I dont care what people be saying, they are standing in this gap with us"

I agree with him...If your a 100% true colts fan you will still support the blue and white till the end. I know the coaching staff sucks and we need to make a lot of adjustments...probably more than what we can do in one year. but I have seen people posting on here how they are going to chant and to stuff at the next home games..thats good and all but really your just wasting your time...they wont make any changes mid season. And for as long as I can remember they really never made huge changes mid season.

I just think if your going to say your a colts fan, then you will be behind this team through the good the bad and the ugly. 0-16, oh well Ill still put on my jersey every sunday. Mathias said the fans weather the storm, and I think true fans do/will

i support us too. We are still in the hunt for the playoffs! Yes im that stubborn... :)

  14. i just dont get it. Almost everybody is hoping we go 0-18 in order to get luck, who IMO is still an unproven and raw college QB. Sure he's good, but thats only at a collegial level. Scouts have called him the next big thing or the next manning but that has also been said about other number 1 picks ( ryan leaf, alex smith, *carson palmer *hes mediocre* etc )

What we need to do is draft defensive players. Once peyton comes back , our offense will be the same as it was 2 years ago but sadly i cannot say the same for our defense. If wayne is not back, then we have collie who can carry the load, maybe garcon can improve his catching , if not then there are some very good receivers in this upcoming draft. BUT this all starts up from the FO...peyton built this stadium, he IS the team, the least they can do is give him one more ring!

Completely agree. Our defense REALLY needs some work. Either that or maybe a new coordinator. I think that if we had a better defense, we would probably have every Super Bowl since 2007. Peyton has done so much for us to get us back into all of our games but he also needs help.

  15. if peyton comes back in december then maybe we will be 2-14. so we dont have to worry about going winless. its not like we are going to pick up Luck anyway.

The best thing we CAN do is trade for more picks. The last thing we need is to give our 2nd or 3rd pick a $100 million contract. The lower the pick, the more we have to pay him!
