  1. 1-15. Our win will come from Tennessee at home. Jax defense and MJD will be too much for us. Cam Newton is gonna OWN our defense...we can't handle the bootleg against Houston...Imagine what it'll be like with Newton being able to run! Tennessee, unless Chris Johnson wakes up, looks to be our weakest opponent from here on.

Also...watch out for the Baltimore game. They randomly lay eggs. We could steal a win from them. Unlikely, but they're so darn Jekyl and Hyde, it's redonkulous!

Another interesting scenario could be if Peyton does (please don't....) come back for week 17 like another thread suggests...we'll beat Jax. Bahahahaha!

So, I guess our best case scenario is 3-13, ending up with the 2nd pick of the draft behind Miami. Darn, no Luck for us... :nono:

  2. Dline looked good...however, the Steelers oline is pretty bad. Very impressed with our Oline. Castonzo only really got beaten ONCE by James Harrison...a shame it had to end up as a fumble-td for the steelers. Link did decently against Woodley, from what I saw. Joe Reitz? who IS this guy? I'm quite happy with our Oline right now...yay

  3. Another positive outlook...Even if he is out all year. That means he had an entire year of healing/rehab. Plus, he could even train and increase his arm and leg strength. He can watch film too...Then, he'll have a full training camp and OTA's to work with the offense. Can you imagine how ridiculously prepared and ready Manning will be with a year off?

  4. You're absolutely right. The pressure is squarely on the Texans shoulders. No one (except some of our fans) expects us to win this game, or be ANYTHING this year. However...maybe a lot of Texans fans are saying this games in the bag, I doubt the actual team and players are. They are, after all, professionals. If this game was in Indy, I might actually pick us to win. However, like last year, Reliant is gonna be rockin' and the Texans are gonna be electrified in the first half of the game. Our only real chance is to keep it close and give ourselves a chance to win at the end.

I just don't see our offense being able to keep up with theirs without Peyton. I'm going with Texans 31-17.

At any rate...As always. Go Colts :coltshelmet:

  5. It doesn't really matter who plays for you guys at QB, Colts haven't looked the same for years.. Im sure manning will be ready just in time for your week 4 Monday night mod edit whipping. And we will be glad to knock manning right back on the bench!

Payback for that '03 monday night game coming mod edit!

Oh, for heavens sake... The Bucs are my number 2 NFL team. I have been a Bucs fan since I have been a Colts fan. Don't come into out forum and start this kind of nonsense. There are ways to be civil. I'm actually going to the Colts game here in Tampa and I'm pretty ANGRY that THIS had to be the year something like this happens. With Manning, the Bucs didn't have much of a chance. Without him, I still think the colts are better.

  6. First off, I want to say that OBVIOUSLY I would much rather see Peyton out there healthy, and I feel very bummed out that he's hurt, and in all likely-hood can't go for awhile. However...our team has a chance to answer the bell. All those questions will be answered this year. "Reggie Wayne is a product of Peyton Manning." "The offensive line is only good because Peyton gets the ball out quick." "Caldwell only looks decent because of Manning." "Our defense can only be good when they have confidence that Manning can score a lot of points." There are dozens more. I'm pretty interested to see how our offensive play-calling is. Christensen has his first real test.

It's time to see how good our Colts really are. Can't hide behind big brother for awhile. At any rate...get better soon Peyton. We DO need you!!!!!

I suppose my question is...as a fan of this team. Is anyone else a little excited to see how the Manningless Colts respond? I think it'd be hilarious if we could somehow demolish the Texans......I'd lawl.

    One more thing. Go Colts!

  7. Okay...In all honesty, I fully expect the Colts to start the season 0-1. Manning will probably play, but he's gonna be rusty, and I bet his arm wont be as strong as it usually is. If Manning DOESN'T play...we have almost no chance of winning.

HOWEVER.........Alex...Smith....Colin Kaepernick...where are they amongst the top QB's in the league? Wait..nowhere? Oh, right. haha. Of course the Texans pass defense looked stellar! Alex Smith isn't exactly an All-Pro, and if you stop Davis, you stop their passing game. The end. It's preseason. We wont know who the good teams are till week 3-5 in the regular season! Goodness gracious....

  8. i was disturbed when i read this in the article..

"the Colts completed a three-year, $14 million contract to keep Joseph Addai"

for those of u keeping track that is:

1.67 mil more a yr than ceddy benson

1.16 mil more a yr than darren sproles

2.16 mil more a yr than marion barber

3.93 mil less a yr than deangelo williams

brahshaw just signed so well c how much less he was than addai tomorrow

Addai is better and less trouble than Benson.

Sproles is nothing more than a 3rd down back...Addai can do what he does AND play every down

Marion the Barbarian is broken down and close to being done.

Deangelo Williams deserved the money he got. Glad he showed loyalty to the Panthers

Bradshaw can't seem to hold on to the ball right now, anyway. Addai doesn't fumble often.

For the price, knowing what kind of team we are, I'd take Addai with his contract over any of these.

As for the topic...Hopefully we can make this guy work out. Could be the answer for some of the problems on defense if we can unlock his potential.

  9. Man...so much Addai hate. I like Joe. A lot. Even though his offensive line has been...questionable? I'll go with questionable. He shows up to work every day and gives it his all. He blocks on the 40 sum pass plays a game we ask him to block on. He goes out and runs good routes and is someone who will usually make the catch. He's a mismatch in the passing game...which...is kind of what we do, right? I'd say we're a passing team, wouldn't you? Also, when Joe gets some decent blocking he's actually a pretty good and elusive runner. For an average of 4.7 mil a year, I'll definitely take it.

Good to see you're staying with us, Joseph!!!
