I think he's terrific. Very talented. But so was Janoris Jenkins, and he fell to the 2nd round, so it could happen.

Calling Colts fans spoiled is getting pretty tired and cliche.
Seriously.
We only put up 7 points in the AFC championship. Every single one of us (true fans) felt we had a legitimate chance at giving the Pats a really good fight if we played like we did the previous two games. The pats didn't change their game plan at all, and did the same thing to us they did every other time. Over and over and over.
Pretty sure we have a right to question and gripe about that.
Do you not think the Green Bay fans are griping at all? Are they getting called spoiled?
Besides, if you read comments anywhere at all about the whole deflategate thing, just about every (real) Colts fan admits that the deflating football thing wouldn't have won us the game with the way we played. yea that all I think bout. Anyway, I think Carter will be a good WR but the fact is he's still an unproven CFL guy. So if Wayne retires are you really comfortable going into the season with Hilton, Moncrief, and Carter? I mean if we don't sign a WR in FA we will definitely draft one in the 2nd or 3rd. It would be irresponsible not to. The fact is this, assuming Wayne is gone we're bringing in another wide out, most likely through the draft.

Moncrief showed good potential this past year but was not consistent in his fairly limited opportunities. Nicks seemed to improve a bit towards the end of the year, but was far from awesome. The Pats totally took TY out of our offensive equation in the AFC Championship game (I love TY, but IMO he can't be a true #1 WR on his own, he needs at least one more serious threat at WR to let him get his chances to exploit defenses for big plays). Carter has never played a down in the NFL.
I'm for bringing Nicks back, too (at the right price) -- but am nowhere near ready to call that four-some an awesome WR corps.
Folks putting D Carter ALREADY above a H NICKS in a potential 2015 lineup ,,, is comical.
Simply comical. D Carter will likely not make this roster next year. If he does... it will be as a 5th string for PS player. "RANDY MOSS'S" do not just fall off of trees... they fall to the mid FIRST round.

I'm fine with the signing, but can't wait for people's dreams to be shattered when he doesn't put BIG numbers. Please be able to admit fault when he doesn't. I've seen so many people disappointed that Nicks only put up 400 yards and 4 TD's, being a 6th option most of the year, so if Nicks and Reggie isn't there next year it shouldn't be asking too much for this HOF son to have 1000 yds and 8 TD passes, right? If Nicks or Wayne does come back you can still expect around 600 Yards and 6 TD's! If you think that's unreasonable, perhaps your expectations for Nicks were a bit off!

I don't think so -- assuming this is true, right now we've got TY, an unproven Moncrief, a few practice squad guys and Whalen. I hope the FO isn't comfortable going into the season with that cast at WR -- even if Nicks or Wayne comes back to be the 4th WR, I think it'd be good insurance to have them on the squad going into training camp. *Note - if Wayne decides to come back, he will know he can recover from his triceps injury and be back at good form, so I highly doubt he'd be as low as 4 on the depth chart.
Yes, dw!! Superman is right, the risk/reward matrix is favorable, but I think you're more spot on dw49 -- the only way the risk/reward matrix becomes unfavorable to us is if we put all our eggs into Carter's basket and don't do anything else to address the WR position in the offseason -- I really hope the front office doesn't take this signing as our savior at WR -- at this point he's nothing more than potential.
I can't imagine a CFL guy with a patchy history is going to be breaking an NFL team's bank. Heck, he wasn't even the leading WR in CFL last year. I think his dad is certainly helping with the media hype and it seems like only 3 teams were really interested in him from media stories anyway (Minnesota, Cleveland and Indy) -- if he wants to go to a place to win and with a stable QB, no doubt Indy trumps either of those other 2. I won't be shocked if he has some hefty performance bonuses thrown into his contract, but just can't fathom his guaranteed money to be very high.

YES!!!!!! This is awesome news guys. He could be a star from day 1. I still want us to draft a wide out in the 2nd or 3rd though. This is my hope going into the season...Hilton, Moncrief, Green Beckham, Carter, and Whalen.

Who cares? All it shows is that Seattle has had better teams than the Colts the past two years. Too much focus and insecurity regarding Luck by some Colts fans in my opinion. Its like the Peyton obsession part 2. It's not important to me if Luck is proved to be better or worst than Russell Wilson. So long as he proves to be the right pick for us...that's all that matters. I'm far more concerned with how the Colts team overall compares to the best the league has to offer. Right now that is Seattle and New England.

I think they cheated and if that's the ruling I agree remove them from the super bowl and put the colts in there do I know if that would have changed that game maybe and maybe not but it don't matter they still cheated.

Projected 40 Time: 5.18.
Projected Round (2015): 3-5.
1/17/15: Tomlinson blocked well for Duke in 2014. He is a strong run-blocker who has to improve his pass protection for the NFL. Sources have said that Tomlinson received a grade well into Day 3, but the team that likes him enough to ultimately draft him could end up taking him on Day 2.
