  1. I was wanting to know people's thoughts on bringing in a couple players.  Max Tuerk, and Bug Howard.....

Bug Howard WR--was in Indy for some time last year.  6'4" 230 had only 4 drops in college and can help fill void from losing Moncrief.

Max Tuerk-- C/Guard. He was highly rated out of the draft but coming of a injury.  Some had him higher than Ryan Kelly.  We need more line help and he might have more success at guard.

  2. All I can say as a COLTS fan is the AFC south is getting stronger signing pretty solid free agents.....picking higher in the draft, except Texans, as we look like garbage last year kept most of the same players so far and are short a pick or 2 in the draft.  I was excited last year not so much this year, Jags and Titans will be MUCH tougher opponents.  Grigs better pick up some solid playmakers and hit on EVERY pick in the draft or we will be lucky to get to 8-8.

  3. I don't understand why the COLTS did not resign him.  He is 29 and signed a 3 year deal with the Bears the is only 6 mill guaranteed with performance bonuses.  He was rated the #4 lb in the league and we could not give him 6 mill guaranteed.  The one player on d that was a must resign player just walked on over to the Bears for some chump change, I wish him well there and Bears just got a great deal and a heck of a player.  Colts management what r u smoking?

  4. He has missed 21 games in 4 seasons and had 16 catches last year.  Missed nearly all of 2013 due to hip surgery....I like him a lot just not at a bigger cap hit than Luck.  Fleener is gone and if he isn't than we will have ZERO room for any quality free agents.

  5. Why does COLTS management continue to over pay or over value people.  Landry,  Art Jones, Andre Johnson, Erik Walden, Gosder Cherilus, RJF.....I like Dwayne Allen but I find it hard to believe he would have gotten that much any where else.  He is injury prone and now there is NO cap room for Fleener if they plan on helping both lines or CB during the offseason.  Grigs is not good with money!

  6. 3 year deal with 2 year guaranteed money would be good for both sides.  If let go in 2 years when he is 30, he will be at an age where he is likely get another short term contract.  Colts also will have him off the books in time for younger replacements to step up.  Grigson will probably sign him to a 5 year $20 million dollar contract and $15 guaranteed...lol

  7. I am sorry with TONS of cap space, you bring in Costa......  weak move by Grigs.  By doing that, all of the other decent Centers are gone.  Bradshaw I would say YES was overpaid and was a injury risk.....3 games in 2013 WHAT a good deal!  We got more out of T-Rich who everyone is whining about, also look a T-Rich's yards from scrimmage and you will be surprised who he is ahead of.  I LOVE Grigs but some of his moves and the amount of money he pays people he crazy.

    Verner 4 years 25 million.....Munnerlyn 3 years 11.25-------------Grigs paid Davis 4 year 39 million........and Toler gets 3 years 15 million.

I would take Verner and Munnerlyn over Davis and Toler all day long.  Let's not forget nearly 20 million left to spend.  If they play through there contracts.

    JUST SAYING

  8. Bradshaw, Sidbury, etc.....I am sure I am missing some players, all brought in to win now.....but couldn't even play.  I realize it is the NFL and anything can happen, but Toler, Bradshaw, Landry I know for a fact had some serious injury concerns before we OVER paid for them.

  9. I like Grigs as a GM, but win now players is what every team wants......How about some players that PLAY now, Toler, Thomas, RJF, Landry, have had some serious injury concerns and Costa did not even take a snap then retired.  Now he is saying he has 3 snappers on the roster, Donald Thomas being one of them.  He has little to no experience at center in the regular season, why is he scratching his head and not making something substantial happen at the center position.  Luck would have a lot better chance of playing a long healthy career if he had a better line, plain and simple.  I hope he gets something done, and hopefully more than a whopper....lol

  10. Little late to be looking for free agent centers, should have got the right guy the first time.  Velasco is the only decent one left that isn't a dinosaur.  Either way they need to bring a respectable low cost veteran, can not expect either a rookie or second year player to be the answer.  If it does work out that way fine, but I would have another guy ready.

  11. Guaranteed money is not the only real money, obviously players can make money yearly.  But, if one does get injured or IR the player gets cut and bye bye to your money.......depending on your contract......look it up, there are many players that have some talent and never make a name for themselves and are cut just to save a buck.  Revis got paid because he played the whole year, you think for a minute if he tore his acl again they are gonna pay a guy on the bench 16 million.  No way, that is why guaranteed is so important.

  12. All they have to due is give him more guaranteed money, 12 million. Example..... could be 4 years 40 mill with 21 guaranteed, you would be paying for 3 years of service at 7 million at year with the option 4th year which in this example would be crazy.  12 mill transition tag sounds good but only 12 guaranteed, he gets hurt that year and it may cost him his next contract.  That's why most go after the the guaranteed CASH.

  13. The fact of the matter is our line sucked last year.  Pep should have had some plays designed to get him on the outside....draw, tosses etc.....seemed like he ran right into a wall of offensive lineman getting pushed back.  DB had more runs plays that were less predictable if that makes any sense, defenses knew exactly what Trent was gonna do.....  Our line is not filled with guys for successfully having a power run game.

  14. I would sign a couple good free agents for 2 years guaranteed money a Safety, CB, Center maybe.....to get through the next couple years til we have to pay the 2012 draft class.  Have 2 years of good drafting and hopefully catch back up with all the picks we been giving away.  Then in 2016 see where were at cap wise.....

  15. We already have a speed guy in TY......Reggie even at 80% will be a great upgrade, Wayne has never been known for speed but more for his routes.  I can't wait to see them line-up, I wonder if they will run a two tight end set?  Either way, Wayne, TY, Nicks, Fleener, Allen, Brazil, Rogers, Whalen, Ballard, T-Rich, Bradshaw is a lot of weapons.  I hope they are gonna bolster this O-line because if we can't open some holes or push the pile we will still be forced to throw.  I liked when we threw last year but it is evident that to win the Super Bowl we need to be able to RUN (Lucks picks in the post season).  Costa is not the answer, if he slides to guard and we pick up a center than maybe, but we can't expect a guy rated below Satele to be the solution.  I hope Grigs has a plan because my first signing would have been a center........ that protects your FRANCHISE QB.  Every other move would come after I new we where upgrading the line.  Its like he does the exact opposite, I realize we need to stop the run......but we to run better and have long drives instead of running the 2 minute drill or bombing to TY and putting our defense back out tired.........We need to keep opposing teams offenses off the field.....then they can't run.  I like the moves so far but it seems like now we are strapped for cash and it will be hard to afford a quality center.  I hope I am wrong!

  16. Nicks would have had nobody on offense around him......greg olsen?  Colts WR's and TE's are a lot better and defenses will have trouble covering them all.  Should help his stat's,  he really does not have anything to prove, caught about 56 of 102 passes thrown his way.  56 receptions for 900 yards receiving for a 16 yard average is pretty darn good.  His dropped passes should be reduced because he played with a dislocated finger last year.  Having 900 yards of offense labeled as a down year for him is a good problem to have.  Love this signing. Let's get a better center and a safety now!
