  1. This is well done. Like many others though I don't think we should keep a 3rd qb. Maggit has been the backup to Erik Walden all preseason if I'm not mistaken and has potential. Also I think Edwin Jackson should make it over McNary. I like McNary but I think Jackson has a higher ceiling. I'm good with Swoope as both Allen and Doyle are good blockers and Swoope is little more of the move TE. I'd like to see Teven Smith somehow make the team and I think Ferguson makes it as he is more of a change of pace back than the 3 current backups.

  2. I wonder if there is a cheap trade we can make like the one that landed us Davis? I don't think this is the end of the world but another cb would help. I saw someone mention trading for Milliner or the guy from Cleveland? There's probably a underperforming cb we can trade a mid round pick for to bolster the cb corp. This would help for the future to. Butler is getting older. Davis is a little older. If we can get a younger guy with talent that hasn't put it together yet I wouldn't think it would be to bad. Again I don't think we're done or anything but looking at our cbs overall I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of reasonable trade happen.

  3. Hopefully by week 1 doesn't sound good. The colts rarely have people back by when they "hope" for. So now we can slide Green in as a SS or Adams over to play SS and have Green play FS. Do we sign a FA as insurance? Donte Whitner is available I believe and could be a decent plug in/depth option.

  4. From what I've read he's a good change of pace/skat back type player. Trey Williams is the only other back we have like him I think. So he has a chance to make the roster as a 3rd or 4th back depending on how many we keep.

He most likely is not 290lbs now. My guess is closer to 260lbs-265lbs if he has lost 1lb a week or so and been at it since 1 week after the end of the regular season is my guess. Maybe 270lbs if he took like a month off after the regular season

I think Mario WIlliams was about 290 when he went to OLB for the Texans and he was having a tremendous year before getting hurt. I know Okine is no Mario Williams but from what I hear Okine is pretty athletic. I wouldn't imagine him being the rush OLB but an edge setter behind Walden. With the depth at d line and lack of depth at OLB it doesn't hurt to try. Especially because he might not make the team if he is just a 3-4 de considering that depth.

  6. So we did not draft a guy until the 7th. And we picked up an UDFA that has promise. But I do not know if they can be contributors. I'm wondering what you guys think about signing a guy or two for depth? Dwight Freeney, Lamarr Woodley, and Mike Neal are guys who can come in and help out.  Neal is 29 and the youngest. Honestly I don't know much about him. I'd like to have someone behind Walden who can set an edge and another maybe behind Mathis and Cole. A rookie might be able to sit behind Mathis and Cole though. What do you guys think?

  7. Hopefully one of the tackles we drafted can play guard. If so and they work out we are set at o line for some time. We definitely will need at least 2 olbs next season as three of ours, the top 3 as of now, are 30 or older we will also need a quality rb. We do not know what we have in Varga and Ferguson is even more of an unknown. Gore will be 33 soon. If he even plays next season I can't see much. And corner back is going to need to be addressed again probably.

Who knows. The bigger question is why didn't we take Christian Westerman in the 5th??? I mean I think its pretty obvious that Westerman is better than Haeg. Then with the Morrison pick. Why didn't we take Kentrell Brothers instead??? Then in the 2nd. Why didn't we take Fackrell or Calhoun? Or trade up for Spence or Correa??? Trading up and giving up our 2nd and a 2017 3rd and 4th would have gotten us up to the top 10 of the 2nd. So IMO this draft would be a whole lot better

    1 Ryan Kelly Center

    2 Noah Spence EDGE

    3 LeRaven Clark T/G

    4 Hassan Ridgeway DT

    5 Christian Westerman G

    7 Alex McCalister EDGE

Then grabbed Ochi and Cash as UDFA's. Honestly I see Jeremy Cash as the better safery between he and Green. And I definitely see him more likely than Green to contribute day 1. To me most of this draft is a big ole ?

Change ridgeway with billings and this would've been about perfect to me

  9. I'd like a rb to be drafted in the 4th. Maybe Keith Marshall in the fifth if we wait. But we have a legitimate need at rb. We have no depth. We also have a real need at olb but with the lack of talent there I think we could wait till the fifth easier. If Christian westerman our Connor McGovern are available I think they deserve a look to too even with drafting two ol already.

  10. 2) Spence\Correa\Fackrell -OLB

    3) McGovern - RG

    4) Yannick Ngakoue - OLB

    5) Keith Marshall - RB

I like Ngakoue but I wouldn't take him before the 4th. I think we need a ilb and a safety but I'd go with these guys. We have 3 OLBs right now and all over 30 I believe. Gore is what 32? We need a rb behind him besides Varga. McGovern gives us another piece on the o line and potentially the last piece if Good works out at rt. This is just my opinion though and I have a good feeling about this draft. We have some holes to fill and we won't fill them all in this draft.

  11. If we do not take a olb in the second I think we should grab 2 in 3-5. Jordan Jenkins and Yannick Ngakou would fill out the OLB position. I think with the run on safeties we are going to miss out on the value players. Ideally I'd like Spence in the second and McGovern in the 4th and Ngakou in the 5th if possible though I don't think he will slide that far. In the third we could go dl or safety or rb. I'd love to trade a pick from next year to get into maybe the 5th and grab Keith Marshall.

First of all, nobody has legitimate sources that are saying that.

Second, Grigs doesn't target certain positions in the first two rds - history proves that.

Third, I don't think OL is as big of a need as everyone else does, and C/G are positions that you can find nice players outside of the first two rds.

Well more signs point to at least a OL in the first than a cb. I think cb is more of a late round need. I'd rather have Ryan Kelly, who the Colts are reportedly in love with, than a cb in the first. And I'd rather have a more explosive rusher in the second like Correa or Fackrell. I think Grigs is make or break this draft so I think he might go about it a little different. We can see that he is approaching this season different in his offseason moves thus far. I do agree we could find some nice players later in the draft but I'd rather have a center somewhere in 1-3 and a rg in 3-4. If we get Ryan or Martin and Connor McGovern I think they would really help our line.

True about the center. I think we can get Martin or possibly even Kelly in the second round.

    Oline looks like this than

    AC Mewhort Martin Westerman Reitz/Good

We could go center in the second and safety in the 4th. Houston-Carson, T.J. Green, Sean Davis, Javon Kearse, all guys who could be available and good players in the 4th.

  14. I'd like to see a olb at 4 if nothing else. Ngokoue might be still on the board and if he is we should definitely grab him. If not maybe ochi in the fifth. I'm not sure if boehm makes it to our pick in the 5th. Maybe blythe. we need to address our pass rush in this draft and this only helps by improving the d line which I am all for but we need a good olb to groom while mathis is still able to contribute.

  15. I like this draft. Regardless of how people feel about him is rated as one of the best at a position of need. Johnson would help really solidify a d line that has potential to be among the best. I like Westerman at guard or center. If we get Boehm to be our center our o line would have a lot of potential going forward. Schobert can compete/develop for ilb.
