To your topic title, there are no great recievers in this draft. Some could be good, but not great.
-
Unrelated, can someone tell my how I can start a thread? I've done all I need to do (i think). 15 posts, etc.
-
If we don't do anything else in free agency or the draft for a RT, I think they are pretty high on Sowell
-
I think we have other needs to address in the first round but wouldn't be upset if Grigson (master mind) feels strongly about one and picks one up. As for the comment about Ballard not wowing you..... winning diving TD against the Titans was a wow factor.
-
I bet Hughes comes in on 3rd and longs.
-
This is why Grigson's free agency scheme is brilliant. Filled many needs. Now the draft will truly be best available player. Then, he'll find his diamonds in the later rounds.
-
in two te and two wr hilton could be slot. i can see fleener going outside some

Nice article. it's like Grigs is playing moneball. http://blogs.indystar.com/coltsinsider/2013/03/13/colts-cbs-butler-toler-were-among-the-nfls-best-in-2012-statistically-speaking/

ah, thanks. i'll take him or pollard
His production hasn't matched his hype since he came into the league. He is a highlight-reel hitting machine and certainly would be an upgrade for us at SS. Many expect 6th overall draft pick safeties to become All-Pros but injury has been a problem for him since he entered the league.
-
whoops, day 2
either one, but Pollard would be preferred. 2 two is even more exciting!

doesn't landry get hurt a lot? or isn't there some knock on him? Or am i off here?
-
So far so good IMO. Not what we all expected but building depth and adding guys with high upside is smart. FA isn't done, and we have the draft. When can we nab more talent from the CFL? Anytime? Waiting for Grigs to strike again. Who's left that we want after seeing these signings? Safety Mikell from St. Louis has some ties to Grigs. I see sidbury as a special teams beast.

sean smith would be great. i'm suprised i haven't heard more about him possibly being a colt
-
i like your point here. it would be nice to get williams or hankins to play end, but we have to go corner if we don't get any help in free agency or all the good cbs are taken before 24
As an Aussie, I would love to see us pick up Jesse Williams--can you imagine the Colts with an Aussie DT--Superbowls for years
-
I like the guy as a center. But has anyone watched him try to run, or even walk back to the huddle? He may have his own handicap parking spot at Lucas Oil.
Not exactly mobile guard material IMO.
good points

Unless we have an impressive CB signing in FA, Rhodes is undoubtedly the pick.
I'm also a fan of picking up Shamarko Thomas in a later round. He brings that physicality in the secondary, and (I think) is the 2nd coming of Bob Sanders (hopefully without the injury concerns). I can guarantee you he wouldn't get caught in open space like a deer in headlights like Zibs.
I think we'd all take the second coming of Bob Sanders without health issues
-
What do you think of Shipley playing guard, possibly opposite of Vasquez?
-
definitely
-
at that price, we could get two CBs
-
i'm hoping kelley is a diamond on the rough
-
excellent pts. let's make this happen grigs!
-
I think Cherilus makes to many penalties
-
That's a big boy for our power run game. I'll take it
Awful article on why Luck will have a sophomore slump
in Colts Football

good pt. also, mix in some west coast philosophies and the quicker passes will help protect him too.
