  1. Houston is out because Peyton wants to leave the AFC Division completely behind him & Matt Schaub is their franchise QB. San Fran is out because Coach Jim Harbaugh won't turn over the complete offense to Peyton & for some strange reason, he believes Alex Smith is his franchise QB. Baltimore is out because Flacco has proven his playoff worth as a QB & he will receive a contract extension. KC has a legitimate shot at landing Peyton here. A ton of former #1 draft picks on both sides of the ball & Coach Romeo Carnell would protect #18 quite well. Best fit IMO is Denver under John Fox & John Elway. Great offensive line & defensive lines, Elway will get Peyton receivers & a reliable running game, & both Fox & Elway want to get rid of Tim Tebow immediately. Peyton gives them the perfect exit strategy here & get outta jail free card here. No Tim Tebow mass public fan base backlash here.

Houston is not out if the mix because of AFC South.. Manning has already inquired about them. I live in Baltimore, Flacco had one good playoff game, but I agree they rather have him long term. Agree about San Fran but they are having contract issues. All three aren't ruled out just yet.. Denver would need to spend well in FA to get him.. KC makes too much sense, same with Seattle. Both have better rosters then Denver and AZ and have huge cap room.

  2. Denver was already a playoff team with Tebow as QB...they would only be better with Peyton, not to mention the fact that they have nearly $45 million in available cap space as it stands right now...that would go a LONG way towards adding additional pieces

I guess the cap room is appealing about Denver...

  3. His neck can no longer support that enormous gourd. His massive brain weighs twice as much as a normal brain. His weakened neck isn't up to the task, and he just can't recover. IMO.

You need to stop acting like your a learned doctor, this is the second time you have made a ridiculous statement about Peyton.

  4. And what would the Colts have then? They would have a 36 year old QB. One whose neck is damaged. The size of the melon that neck supports makes a full recovery unlikely. Manning's neck should have been incredibly strong, with the cranium it supported. When it failed, recovery was only a remote possibility. I predict he'll never be great again. And his sad, final days won't be at Lucas Oil. Be thankful for that!

Let's see what you say in a few months when Manning is nearly 100%. Won't ever be great again? Peyton at 80% is great!

  5. Defense. Pagano is a defensive minded head coach. Imagine Luck with a Ravens caliber defense.

Really? The Colts D equivalent to the Ravens D? Another Nagta, Lewis, Suggs, Reed. Don't even say a Colt player compares to any of them.

  6. I think it's about who would go to the teams with Manning. Offensive line, D, ability to win.

Example KC and Seattle have cap room. Seattle can resign their own, get Manning, Wayne, and Mario Williams in free agency, that's dangerous!

KC can get the duo plus nicks/Grubbs and Paul Soliai. Both teams would be unreal good!

Miami and AZ need offensive line pieces. AZ needs two tackles. Miami needs a RT, and defensive pieces, they are going to a 4-3 and need a DE and secondary pieces.

    It's an interesting process..

  7. I think polian had much logic to trade the pick for the bounty and get the second best QB with great future upside. Especially if he is going so sit on the bench.

I have never heard anyone mention that polian wasn't convinced in luck before.. Funny he had family who coached him, frequently went watched and scouted him and wasn't convinced...

  8. I think personally if you keep them both, you stay in a 4-3. Which may be better with the Colts current personnel anyway. Even in the Hybrid where the RDE plays DT and Freeney would put his hand back in the ground, Mathis is the OLB, nobody knows how that transition will pan out... It's very risky..

  9. We will be able to speculate more in a few days or know that Manning is no longer in the equation. I just think about how Jerry Jones did T.O when he drew on the table cloth Dallas on one side T.O on the other. Apparently he was not capable of comprehending without a visual.. Lol

  10. You would think based on the numbers and facts that if Peyton remains a Colt, they should logically trade the pick. This idea however, has not been mentioned in the media.. What a brilliant move that would be by Irsay and completely unexpected. I still maintain its all in one or the other, and I'd prefer Manning.

  11. Anybody suggesting we keep Manning and draft Weeden is absolutely ridiculous. Weeden will be a 29 yr. old rookie and then they expect manning to play another 3-4 yrs. which would put Weeden at 32-33 yrs. old before he's a starting QB. Absolutely stupid idea!

The question was of the QB's of the second round who doesn't need much work. I would trade the puck and select Osweiler or Foles myself. As they can be coached up and learn. Luck would ride pine for a few years, so why couldn't one of them improve and be groomed and have the same effect on game Luck would... ZERO effect!

  12. No I don't believe he is the best QB prospect. I would likely agree that he is the most pro-ready so he may be the best option for a team that needs a QB to start from day 1. However, even with that said I don't believe that the margin of difference between Luck and the other prospects is so great that it warrants spending the #1 pick on him versus trading the pick for the bounty we would get in return.

    This^

  13. This is comical that some of this fanbase on this forum think Luck can hold Manning's jock strap. It's not even close, I would take all but maybe 5 NFL QB's over Luck next year, and we are going to say he can compete with the best? FJC said it this is laughable.
