I wasn’t worried a bit when Luck retired because Ballard had already explained to us in his first presser that no one player was any more important than the others.

Brilliant comment explaining why Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning are equals on the field and in the stats books.:sarcasm:

  2. Six teams have reached out to the Indianapolis Colts with interest in trading for Jonathan Taylor with two making offers.

The Colts gave Taylor permission to seek a trade, but the team is looking for the equivalent of a first round pick in return for him.

Taylor has not practiced since reporting for training camp on July 25. He was placed that same day on the PUP list because of an ongoing issue with his ankle, according to the team.

That's why he put at target on himself - he hit Zaire with a cheap shot.

All's fair in football. The great big people in football all have had fights that is what they do. Garrett took it a little too far hitting the Steelers QB over the head with his helmet but everything else is just another day in the life. Get over it.

Richardson continues to impress me with his maturity especially after a day like today where tempers were flaring. He seems very level headed and patient. I’m telling you guys he really has the disposition to be something special as long as he keeps working hard.

I'll add build the team around him.

You are missing the whole point of your original post even. He has a great NetWorth because he is the most popular and greatest QB the Gators have ever had. So off of endorsement's alone he is going to make millions. Had he not played a down in the NFL, he would have. By proving he could even play good at times in the NFL just added too it and the 1 good season he had enhanced his money making.

You are the one that's missing my point. He was a media darling not just in FL. He was a flop in the NFL yet like so many athletes he is offered jobs, money and endorsements on his college days not his pro days. Everyone knew he was doomed to failure in the NFL. Criminals used to make money on a book they wrote about the crime.  OJ Simpson tried it but our laws prohibit it now. Many former run-of-the-mill NFL players are making good salaries behind the microphones.

He can block but he’s not NFL strong.   Just as Raimann wasn’t last year.   It’ll take a year.

Freeland was drafted because he’s nearly 6’8”.   He weighs about 305.   His arms are nearly 34 inches, with 10 inch hands.  And he runs well, he’s sub-5.0.

PLUS….  He has tremendous experience.  41 college starts.   25 at LT, 16 at RT.

But he’s not a polished player yet.  The Colts hope they can groom him along as  they did last year with Raimann.   Freeland might not be anything more than than a backup swing tackle.   But he might grow into a starter.   Well worth a high 4th round pick.  He’s not getting cut.

There's that word again, "hope." Why not add prayer?

At least he had 1 good season (2011), a lot of QB's that have came into the league can't even say that. Combine that with his college career, I would take that all day if I was him.

"One good season." I rest my case.

“Freeland needs to pack his bags.”

Said after the second pre-season game.   Sigh……

The same comment could’ve been made throughout the majority of the 2022 regular season about Bernhard Raimann.   And looked what he’s turned in to.   One the top young LTs in the NFL.

Perhaps patience isn’t a strong suit of yours?

So you are saying he was drafted because he is weal and cannot block. By the way he was mush in the first preseason game as well.

I actually short changed Tebow lmao , he was voted a top 5 college QB all-time by the national media recently. #1 by the sporting news, Peyton was #2. We are just talking college.

Yeah, that all showed up in the pros didn't it?

Raimann couldn't block my momma at the start of last year.   His grades the first 10 games were atrocious.   He looked beyond terrible.

But right around week 10/11, the light went on for Raimann and he graded out among the top tackles the rest of the season.

Freeland has a strength issue.   He’s going to need a year of NFL S/C before he clicks in.   FWIW,  Raimann did the same S/C program this off-season and put on roughly 15 pounds of muscle.  Freeland will do the same.

Starting when? Next year? I', sure AR will love that THIS year. Maybe you have forgotten a battered & beaten Andrew Luck.

On the contrary either he can block or he can't preseason or super bowl.
