early mothers day celebration helping my daughter landscape her new home. I told her she's not my responsibility any more but, she rejects that notion

I'm a little late to the party here, but yes, mothers deserve to be honored for all the headaches we put them through as kids. The day itself is commercialized like crazy today. Having said all that, I agree with the notion of recognition & props for moms everywhere both here & departed unfortunately.

Roethlisberger not happy with Rudolph pick

Yeah as Pats say that it is like whatever Brady wants Brady gets. But Big Ben also needs to groom Mason instead of complaining about it. It is called thinking ahead Ben!
  3. Will do in May a month long tribute to Prince and George Michael RIP!

  4. Anybody that grew up in the 1980's heard of in the Generation X for "Schoolhouse Rock" on ABC TV. For those that are not familiar with it, it is about songs with educational purposes. "Oh Mickey, you're so fine. Hey Mikey."

No matter how many times I hear that intro on the radio, I always sing along like clockwork.

      Great stuff as always JPPT!

I believe "Bette Davis Eyes" is 1 of Jules's sentimental favorites. I could easily see her dancing to this classic at her wedding. A timeless track that never ages.

8675...3099 it's remarkable how a random number became a catchy chorus line isn't it? Bordering on genius right there. Great selections as always JPPT!

I pay attention to what you post my friend. I just don't always reply immediately that's all. Keep it up!

Too many people slam disco. "If I Can't Have You" is a great track that gets played frequently today because hello it's such a good song. By the time it ends, everybody is getting their jam on man.

"I had a crush on her back in the day!" --RR7

Donna was definitely the whole package: Brains, beauty, & that voice...Wow!

It's a shame Miss Summer is gone now. Her "Last Dance" or time on this planet was far too short indeed. It still upsets me that she wasn't inducted into the Rock N Roll HOF before she passed away. That's just wrong on so many levels.

John Travolta getting his grove on. It's not easy dancing in a suit either. Travolta was always smooth on the floor too. Nice selections as always JPPT!

That first song 'Every Time We Touch" has a good techno beat to it. Reminds me of 1 of my college Freshmen neighbors back in my dorm days. He'd plays dance clubs tracks like that all the time & he looked like a bouncer too.

"Theme From A Summer Place" is a nice instrumental number. Only problem is every time I hear it, I think of the frat movie "Animal House."

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?! I thought it was the Japanese? Forget it, he's rolling."

Well, there's this famous Sam Cooke song too...

I liked the "Love Is Blue" video tie in with the ocean pictures too. Thanks for another soothing instrumental JPPT. :hat:

I've leave ya with 1 of my favs that deals with romance even heartbreak...

On the "Prelude To A Kiss" movie soundtrack starring Meg Ryan & Alec Baldwin. Great flick too.

  17. Do you all have any plans for Valentine's? Nothing fancy here. Just hanging out with family. Just an "ordinary" day for a single gal!

Actually Jules, men like it when women are precise in their suggestions or polite commands. We hate ambiguity & need wives & girlfriends to draw their significant others a picture. A clear, fool proof picture.

It's not that we are foolish. We just like hints which prevent us from getting in trouble with gift giving. It saves time & hinders arguments over rants like do you even know me?! Guys like fill in the blanks women & our partners feel better knowing that our girlfriends will be happy & content in the long run. Everybody wins.

      Jules

No doubt about that, men do need subtle hints and pushes quite often LOL.

  18. We interrupt albeit briefly over on the Disco to remember the Day the Music Died 59 years ago. And remember Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and JP "The Big Bopper" Richardson. Plus the forgotten victim, pilot Roger Peterson

No, no, no, we're not done with Buddy yet, Let's "Not Fade Away" into the sunset just yet...

I love the percussion playing in this live version as well as the 'bop, bop; bop, bop' chorus refrain.

"Learning The Game" of love & life is never easy. Sigh....Is there a cliff notes version? Ah man.

The Bluejays dazzle us with Buddy Holly mainstays once again. I like it!

This is vintage 1950's rockabilly guitar playing by Mar T Music.

Reminiscent of Buck Owens stuff & the Bakersfield, CA sound actually.

I really like the emotional intensity of this cover of "Everyday" sung by Amelia Wallace.

Buddy Holly rest his soul would be moved by this tribute because it's just so authentic & stripped down.
