Great post, post of da year, we are fine folks.

I know he’s “just a kicker”, but I’m surprised to see Vinny absent from so many lists. In a game that comes down to points scored, this season we will have the all time NFL scorer on our roster. Yes, I’d say he’s top 10 on this team.

With the hand he was dealt he surpassed expectations (AFC Championship?). With a better hand I think he’s going t be awesome.
-
They say he’s on schedule, he hasn’t had surgery yet, he looks better, he sounds better, he’s hanging on the beach with AC, I am optimistic too.

We would not have needed to come back without that onside kick gaffe one could say, but yes, Peyton threw that pic.
-
I went to the game with friends when it was on Christmas Eve and they told us to go kill ourselves like Tony Dungy's kid. I've hated Seattle ever since.

The lacerated kidney and the "undisclosed rib injury" seems weird to me. They generally parallel, no?

Both units haven't played together in a game yet this year. I'm thinking a game like we played against Niners two tears ago will happen Sunday night. Can't wait!!!

Feed Moncrief!

That's awesome to read. I've been a fan since '84 when they came to town, saw many a game at the Hoosier Dome, but still haven't seen a game at Lucas since I moved away... Can't wait 'till I do!

I agree with the OP. His lateral quickness is non existent. He looks sluggish. I agree he is situational. He's powerful, put him in those circumstances. I love TRich, but Boom 'N Bradshaw look explosive. Whoa, Boomin' Bradshaw!
-
Ouch. Next man up...again
-
I haven't seen Tom Brady win anything lately
-
Even TRich showed SOME signs of life

I think a third offensive change in 3 years will hurt Luck's progress, yet i don't necessarily want him in Pep's system. Pretty tough choices! You need time to mature under a system, not learning a new playbook every year.

Quote 4 is from The Big Lebowski, nice, our owner quotes the Dude! Still don't know what it means. Smokey was a conscientious objector.

Born and raised in Indiana, now rooting for the Horse out here in the Pacific Northwest, Vancouver, WA specifically. Somewhat bummed the Seattle game is at home next year, but we have the Niners for a road trip!

Yeah, we definitely shouldn't win this game, but the way this season's going, I could see us doing some damage. And if so, the official rivalry with Houston is on! I can't wait for the years to come!

Thanks for the article, ChuckStrong!!

Then I'm going to assume your handle means "Manning transition to Luck", and not "Manning is greater than Luck". An homage to Peyton, not a slight at Andrew.
As far as being optimistic, the future's so bright I gotta wear shades.
No slight at Andrew! I even switched my handle before i read your post from Manning>Luck to Manning->Luck because i realized it looks like the greater than symbol rather than the segue i meant it to be. Go Luck and Go Peyton! (assuming we're not playing him of course).

Here is something to chew on lucks 307 yards passing is still good enough for third all time for a rookie qb in his first game and till last year it would have been first. Clearly the kid has talent because he did that against a pretty good defense with little support of a running game. We need to stay patient. This decsion was not made for this year or maybe even next It was made for the next 15 years.
Exactly. 307 yards, against a tough D, in his first game, away, AND running for his life pretty much the whole game. I am optimistic for the future:)

That was a great read, the guy did his homework. Thanks for posting.

I read Luck's TD drive in the 2nd was against the Steeler's #2 D though.

Awesome analysis. I’m curious to what year Peyton was as good or worse to our current QB? Was it Colts or Broncos?
