  1. I cant belive some of you guys...im in no way happy with the loss or the way we played...but some of you are running down the whole organization from irsay down to the gatorade guy(ok so I embellish a lil)...you guys are writing off the whole season after just one game...its obivious this is may be some if you guys first bad season...should have been here in 91 and 97 now they were bad season and those were two really inept coaching staffs...its the first week...chill out instead of crying and moaning focus on cleveland..dont give up on "our" team so quick

  2. Anyone who questions polian should remeber 1984 thru 1993...(tobin did some good for us)..love irsay as an owner but as gm no....polian brought bills back to prominent franchise(and they havent been close since they fired him)..and he has built the colts to one of the most respected franchises in the nfl....we used to be along with the bucs and the patriots and cardinals the laughingstock of the league

  3. Look moala is coming into his third year.ithink many of us can agree he improved a lot last year.plus he wasnt drafted to be warren sapp..he was drafted for the booker role..he was a monster playing the run at usc..plus hes got that samoan strength ...u watch with nevis and harris as our "sapp" role moala will be our run plug...and besides size isnt whats important most 3-4 nt are huge but that doesnt make them good.I belive jay ratliff of dallas is the smallest 3-4 nt but hes also one of the best..know we play 4-3..just saying

  4. While I woudnt mind waters bieng a colt..think about this real quick..we have wha 7 mil?...colts have already said wayne, mathis are priority to resign but what if one or two or by the football gods blessing all three of the def fa signings have a really good year for us..sims is 26,anderson 25,and harris isnt even 30 yet...so it would be nice if polian(s) wanted to extend one or possibly two during season so they woulndt just be one and done..

  5. First I think gene huey got shafted..yes howard mudd is a good oline coach..but I also think he was somewhat at fault for running game woes..mudd does not like working witn highly drafted players.he prefers lower round and undrafted fa..I thinl a lack of run blocking talent from some of these guys was and is problem..sometimes mudd could be right(jake scott for one)..but look at ugoh and pollack they did/are not doing squat on par with where they were picked..tarik glenn and adam meadows were picked before mudd goy here..and I think before ugoh/pollack the highest we drafted a lineman under mudd was diem(4th rd)steve mckinney(4th rd)and steve scuillo(4th rd)...im sorry brandon burlsworth was a third rd but he sadly died soon after we drafted him...

  6. Yeah I know ..but I wadnt alive to see mackey, unitas berry, lenny moore, jim parker, bubba smith, art donovan, ordell brasse, gino marchetti, mike curtis, bobby boyd, bruce laird, bert jones, lydell mitchell play...if raymond berry is your favorite wr then put him on YOUR list..I said not the most talented or the greatest but your personal favorite

  7. And I am not a relativly new fan....u think some of these new fans know who the heck im talking about with names like duane bickett, ray donaldson, mikr prior etc....ive had to endure the 91 1-15season,trading for fredd young, trading andre rison&chris hinton, shane curry's murder, letting goose, ray, and ambrose leave, drafting sean dawkins, not resigning marchibroda ovet hiring lindy Infante.and those are just off the top of my head..if we were comparing all our war wounds here I belive i ve been thru some bad times with this team...long before they were the model of success they have become

  8. I said your favorite at the position...faulk was excellent rb(hof obviously)but he wasnt my favotite.not even close to it....also I meant just indy ..not that I dont respect the baltimore lineage...we all have players we like while other fans don't

I wasnt going by what we would say is the all time greatest colt team...

  9. Who is your favorite by position ,not who was more talanted or better but your choice

    Heres mine

Qb-manning(best ever),jim harbaugh(older fans just have that special place for captain comeback)

Paul justin(always thought he was a tough backup)

Rb-edge(greatest"indy"back ever, albert bentley(he was awesome reciving back)rodney culver(even like him in sandiego hate how he and his wife passed)

Fb-ain't many...zach crockett(95wildcard vs chargers enough said)roosvelt potts(boy could hey lower his shoulder onto a defender)

3rd down rb-anthony johnson (I admit I just wanted to put him on my list but he did a little of everything for his team)

Wr-marvin(words cant describe how good I think he was.reggie(he slowly but surely impressed me evefy year to the point where he is now)bill brooks(not only one of thr best human biengs u could ever meet but he was indy's only real wr for most if the 80's)floyd turner(he always seemed to make a play when we needed one)jessie hester(I know im gonna get ripped for him but some of his catches were amazing)

Te-ken dilger/marcus pollard(I know clark is great but that combo is my favorite..clark(ok I like him too

Lt-tarik glenn(only jim parker is a better colt lt)

Lg-chris hinton(know way was jeff george worth more then him)

C-ray donaldson(he was our only perrinal pro bowler for years)

Rg-jake scott(why did we let him leave?)

Rt-kevin call(when a olineman is called "the creature" u gotta like him)

Backup line T-zefross moss(thought he was decent blocker.adam meadows(he was very underated)

C-saturday(he's good but I think donaldson was better

De-freeney(been a fav since his rookie year)

Dt-tony siragusa(biggest fa loss in indy history)

Dt-ellis johnson(always forgotten but was vdfy good)

    de-mathis(has always impressed me)

    Backup de-raheem brock(could do a lil of everything)sam clancy(had a mean streak in him

backup dt-booget(he was important to our title run)steve emptman( yeah I know but man he could play when he could play)

Olb-chip banks(one of my fav players)

Mlb-jeff herrod(he was everything for our d for years)

Olb-david thortan(again why did we let him leave?)

Back ups olb-duane bickett if we could have had better teams he would have been one of nfl's great but he never got the reconigtion he deserved)mike peterson(hey I thought he was good)

Mlb-angerer(already like him more then brackrtt)

Cb-ashley ambrose(he went on to pro bowls affer we let him walk)

Cb-hayden(thought he was good whdn he played)

Ss-betha(he may end up my fav of all time)

    Fs-bob(he was my fav)

Backups..cb-marlin(just for the sb clinching pick)

Powers(he will be one of our best when its all said and done)

Ss-jason belser(really a free but I want him here he was our best defender for awile)

Fs-mike prior(made a int when we needed it)

  10. Peyton girl I m sorry (,maybe my wife is right I need to work on my communication skills)..I dont mean I hate tn colt fans ....I just hate meeting a fellow fan and getting into talking bout colts and I start talking about pre manning days and then feeling like an * for bringing it up because they they dont have a clue about players or games im talking about.....it has actually worked out that manning is so popular here because before u coulndt hardly find amything colts related not a hat jersey and they have really been on tv more then theyever were for years down ..so I didnt mean to insult u or other colt fans here from tn

  11. I always thought maybe ray donaldson would actually be the first true indy colt to go...u older fans know what im talking about he went to several pro bowls when the only other player u went more then once(besides dickerson) was our punter ron stark plus ray was the starting center for two of the cowboys super bowl teams(plus pro bowler I think) ..I know u guys were talking about faulk I just thought ray could have been...I liked faulk but when he came off the field in 95 against patriots in the game we had to win to make playoffs I never felt the same way about faulk (he walked off with no limp at all and never showrd jp in postseason) after that I wanted a tuff strong runner(edge..not to say faulk didnt have some impressive runs remember when he hit hardy nickerson!!!!)...what I regret polian doing wad only trading him for a 2nd and 5th rd picks I thought we could have gotten a 1st from somebody...

  12. Im glad somebody mentioned polian...I think somewhere down the road he will be in hof..his track record is pretty strong..I know buffalo lost those 4 super bowls but still 4 straight because he put a talented team...what he did in his brief tenure in carolina was also good(jags also got to playoffs quick too...and what he has done here speaks for its self....I know colts fans get frustrated with him hes had me frustrated also but I ve always been glad hes been our gm/president..and if chris has had anything with this years draft and fa signings then hes starting to impress me too

  13. I didnt mean to come off self righteous ..I went to indystar colts forum for years but it became a joke ....I usually just come on and read what other colt fans are saying...im from indy(southside baby!!) But moved to tn as a kid so it was hard bieng a colts fan here until peyton got drafted ...and I hate talking to the colt fans here in tn because they only know from 98 on ..they only know the success our team has had they have only had to go thru two losing seasons not like us who have always been here..so im sorry I just was taken back a little ...

  14. I think he slipped because a lot of teams are going or are playing the 3-4...I think chicago, minnesota, and us are really only cover2 teams left(am i leaving any teams out?)....cleveland may run it with jauron as dc..plus he only started his senior year...I was happy when we picked costonzo but was stoked when we picked nevis..first time I seen his highlight video first name that I thought of was warren sapp ..I have a feeling our dline is going to be one of the most exciting, aggressive and top units in the nfl...

  15. First can anyone remeber us ever having a jump ball wr...someone peyton could throw a pass up high in end zone and he could outjump the cb(like cards do with fitzgerald)I think torrance small was pretty tall but while he was good possessian type wr he wasnt talant like fitzgeraldd, moss, calvin johnson etc....at one point I thought roy hall might turn out to be but he never worked out...even if we sign moss and he only catches 10 passes all year if those 10 are all redzone catches he'd be worth every penny...im not a moss fan but he would add a dynamic our passing game hasnt really had
