  1. I'm not sure how Irsay loyalists can continue to support him if Manning becomes completely healthy and still gets released. I believe that would put him in the liar category. I'm not sure I can support someone who isn't truthful to his customers.

Only thing that matters is what is in the best interest of the franchise long term and that is going with Luck.

  2. Everyone needs to get over the # of surgies. None of the surgeries matter except the fusion. The others were done in an attempt to avoid having to have the fusion which has a longer recovery time. It's his recovery from the fusion that matters.

Any time you cut into the human body its a big deal and add in the reason, number of times, location and length of recovery is very important and something you don't poo-pop away.

  3. You mean 2010? We're not in 1990 reminiscing about Unitas and the glory days. If Manning can play at his level of a year ago, then Irsay should keep him a Colt for the remaining 3yrs of his contract. Manning on the on the other hand, should be greatful with the cash earned last season and be willing to renegotiate the dollar portion of his contract. I expect nothing less from these 2 professionals, regardless of Luck.

A season where we squeaked into the playoffs and one and done?

  4. "Whats past is prologue" William Shakespeare

Loosely translated that means what's already happened merely sets the scene for the really important stuff, which is the stuff our greatness will be made on.

Peyton Manning has something to prove either to himself or everyone else.

I say let him. Lets watch greatness.

What has happened over the past year and something like how many surgeries leads you to believe we will see greatness in a 35+ year old player.

  5. You only have one strong leader.. Peyton Manning...

..and you have the future....Its not too much money....If Luck plays for $5 mil and Manning plays for 5 Mil and incentives

..and we spent $30 mil on the QB position LAST SEASON....we're being thrifty..

Peyton is already costing us ten million if he doesnt play so it would be 15 under your plan for Peyton or 20 million for the QB position...that is to much...

  6. Like has been posted already, if they planned on cutting Manning, why wait? It doesn't get anyone more money, all it does is generate publicity for the team which tells me they plan to keep him.

As for seeing nothing it's like when my wife watches me doing a project in the house. While I'm doing it, there are always flaws that are corrected by later steps in the process so why let the world pick his throwing apart if it is improving and "in progress?" I'm willing to wait for the finished product because until Peyton is happy with his passing, no one else will be either.

Simple Irsay has till March 8 and he has nothing to prove like Peyton does.

  7. According to Manning, he want to stay a Colt

According to Irsay, he's willing to talk to keep him a Colt

The door is open, they will renegotiate the deal

    Where is the hook?

Which do you think Peyton would rather have...

2-3 remaining of maybe .500 ball at best with the Colts

    Or

2-3 remaining years on a team with good odds of being in the playoffs and making the playoffs playing for another team

  8. we have far more youth on this team than we have "aging" players...if you open your eyes and look around, EVERY team has some aging players and some young players and some who are in between...we are no different

Problem is our older players are at all key positions. Our QB, WR, TE, Center, Dline, K, LB. These r key positions and take time to replace. Our young talent is either unproven or not consistant. Add in an entire new coaching staff and plan and you have a process that is going to take a while to get on track.
