skip is clueless about sports hes just there to create havoc. for me we have yet to see how luck responds to pressure in the playoffs so that is an unknown for right now. peytons percentage has always been a big drop during the playoffsÂ

ND is unbeaten and bama sorry has one loss meaning every team put in front of them they couldnt get that one win. while ND has beaten EVERYONE put in front of them. so when the fighting irish wins the championship first time in a very long time the title will come back to this historic franchise

darn, kid is on pace for something like 4600 yards which would shatter the rookie record, has a 2-14 team gutted from last year sitting at 7-4 and people still aren't happy? If Brady had those stats his rookie season I would be doing back flips. You should head over to the Pats board...nothing but praise for the guy. Even though the loss was ugly we are all hoping to have a replacement like that for Brady (not sure what we have with Mallett).
What I'm seeing here, just a perspective from an outside fan, the ones criticizing Luck with no base seem to be Manning-fans who are just bitter.
I'll tell ya what, once Manning loses in the playoffs again, the bandwagon will be filling back up.
i am myself very happy. i said it before preseason that i expect this team to suprise most by winning ten games. but no one believed me. i went and read what your fellow patriot fans said about luck and i agree with them. i think luck is a combination of peyton and big ben with the exception of just their good points being rolled into one man. he has the smarts nad desires of peyton to read defenses and get the ball where he wants but he also has the will and desire to take the team on his back for a game winning drive in teh final seconds of a game if it is close. if the colts with luck gets ot the playoffs watch out cause if the cards fall jsut right the afc could have luck and the colts representing in teh superbowl.

if the colts beat houston both times i see the colts winning the division. i doubt the texans are gonna beat the pats. the only team i think could beat the pats is baltimore. if we end up the 5th seed and everyone where they already are i can see us in the superbowl possibly. and before you say oh your crazy!!! i predicted at the beginning of the preseason the colts going 10-6 and no one believed me. now look where we are at two losses away from my prediction. but if we win out then no one will see 13-3 coming which would beat our comeback record with manning and with a rookie no doubt. could we be the superbowl champs this season? i think that is a yes if things fall teh way i think they will. the question is do we go to houston or to baltimore which im thiking houston and if the texans wins both games i think the colts just might knock them off their pedistals then face the ravens in the afc championship game. and to play atlanta is the superbowl hehe could possibly be eheh ;)

i agree it was a easy one but then again he does miss the easy ones every now and then. its the game winners where he shines.

uh Peyton didnt win a SuperBowl without a defense, yeah the defense played horrible during the regular season but they stepped it up in the playoffs and WON the game DESPITE Peytons mediocre (if you can call it that) play. No question Brady won those SuperBowls because of the defense, But so did Peyton
yes true peyton did do that but then again the following year the defense did the opposite it showed up during teh season and then dissapeared in teh playoffs. brady won not only cause of defense but also spygate ;) oh wait i cant say that better burn teh evidence goddell

I think that our receiving corp was good today.
minus maybe a drop or two or three but overall a decent outing just need to control the penalties well you know lol the turnovers lol.

You should see the Colts/Bears comment section at BSPN... People already proclaiming RG3 as the next great QB and calling Luck a bust, after one freakin game! I seem to remember a short article in SI after Leaf won his first two games with SD and Manning was 0-2. They were questioning whether or not the Colts made the right pick. Well we all know the ending to that story. Not saying RG3 will be another Leaf, but calling either QB ANYTHING after one game is just dumb
who knows what might happen to me it just seems earily similar to what happends between manning and leaf. now its just luck and rg3. i think luck will in fact be a great qb. how great we will have to wait and find out. but i think rg3 is way too much like mike vick and anyone notice that vick lost today? and vick really isnt the superman type player they thought he was going to be so many years ago? yeah i said it.

i think luck honestly did better then peytons 1st rookie game. and im sorry but replacement refs hurt us on more then one occasion this game. that 1st interception should not have been one. i mean the bears player was in our oline and got away with it. righ tthere was 3 points then i didnt get to see the 2nd INT but usually reggie wont complain about an INT but he did cause well if he was pushed he was pushed. cant remember if that was the result of a TD or field goal either way if it was a TD that is ten points and were only down ten at the end. you look at how the D played and if it is true mathis was held on alot of plays then that would be the reason for at least another TD so that would leave a field goal to tie it. there are key penalties that could and will destroy a team during a game. i jsut hope we get real refs back soon cause the colts were nto the only ones with bad calls

aromashodu is the only one im afraid of and that isnt saying much trust me. outside of harvin the only thing the colts D should be worried about is AD if we can contain him then we can win this game. same thing as with jacksonville. contain MJD adn we can win that game as well.Devin Aromashodu, Stephen Burton, Michael Jenkins, Jarius Wright....there is a reason that it is hard to name a lot of Vikings receivers.

I did post a thread earlier about how bad the offense was but that was in the moment. Luck needs more credit then he was givin. Luck is a rookie and will make mistakes. It also doesnt help he has a terrible OL and a thin recieving corps. Iam a culprit of judging him early but he did play the a good bears team.
Also look at Mannings rookie year. And stop comparing Luck to Manning or RG3, its like comparing apples to oranges.
well i think alot make the mistake of comparing luck today to how manning performed today. to get any type of a more true measurment you gotta take lucks first outing and compare it to mannings and if you do same type opponent good D decent O. luck actually did about the same as what manning did in his first outing. now the question is manning's second game was against a patriots team that had a good D and the offense was ok (bledsoe was still starting qb). luck will be going against the vikes good D and the vikes ok offense. so i think the rookie years will be pretty similar unless luck comes out and burns the vikes bad then yeah it would be such a debate

I am a huge Colts fan but name one star on that offense that the Patriots have had over Toms career outside of Randy Moss? Chad Johnson didnt produce other then those two there isnt one, Brady made Welker a star receiver on the Patriots, dont forget our very own Colts were the ones to complain about the rules and were a key factor in getting them changed to begin with, like I said I loved watching Peyton but his post season stats and wins and losses arent up to par also assuming you mean better as in record wise, how is not making the playoffs in '08 better then making them in '09. Tom made guys like Troy Brown, heck even Bethel Johnson
who says it was the offense? the defense made tom brady who he is. notice tom brady hasnt won a superbowl without a defense? much less a bad defense? peyton has did that. brady has had branch for years and to say he wasnt nothing he had numbers in seattle but if you dont have an average qb you cant get the numbers you once had. seattle for years had horrible qb's. welker wasnt utilized in miami what so ever. if you gameplan around a slot reciever that you can dump off to yeah your gonna look great. it doesnt take a great qb to do what tom brady does. look at what matt cassell did the year brady was out. that is proof enough in itself.

ive been watching the first part of the preseason games cause that tells alot abotu the team cause that is when the starters are playing each other. and im very positive about this team. last year we were in alot of games even at the end and that is with bad coaching and horrible qb's and both have improved this season so im still thinking this team shocks the nfl and goes 10-6 and wins the division.

i find it funny how alot say how great tom brady is. but yet since the great defenses the pats had he hasnt won a SB since and that is even with the nfl making rules to help him too. plus with the three SB's they do have and spygate happening and with the 08 season being better for the pats then the 09 season with brady that screams that brady is an average qb on a team filled with stars not teh other way around. if you put any other qb on those pat SB teams that qb would have three rings as well. it is fact not fiction. brady fans dont wanna hear that but it is the truth. peyton has carried the colts for many years and when he went down it was very noticable.
now with luck i see alot of positives. for one he doesnt have to be as great as peyton only half. the defense is being retooled to being a workhorse and that is a good thing. there are alot of questions going into this season but for me its all good and if the season goes the way i think it will well all be happy with the outcome.

the way i see it is i look at last season we had no coach no qb a team in dissaray no unity nothin that really resembled a good team. so far this year even though luck is a rookie he is still a much better qb then the three we had last year put together. we have a defense that is buying into teh new scheme we have a head coach willing to make the changes necessary. to say we are only gonna win two more games then last season to me is a slap in the face. just think with the things that happend last season we were 7 points behind against the pats, we lost to the steelers when they hd to have last second heroics from their all star. we beat the texans once the titans once we were in most of the games last year by half time. the saints game showed us that the colts were not a good team but now look at them no head coach no mlb and still brees is holding out till he gets a true contract. even the first game vs the texans we didnt lose by much and with the shape our colts were in last season isnt saying much about the texans does it?? now with what the colts have i find it hard not to see a huge improvement over last year. ive seen where the media and other "fans" bias opinion always seem so way off when it comes to the colts. i just have that funny feeling this year is gonna be a good year for us colts fans.

brady is a system qb and any qb in that system wouldnt be able to get him back cause of his freelance type of play.

which solidifies my point i made earlier. if you let him free lance and not give him specific orders to a route to run he will succeed. he and palmer also worked out alot anyone remember this where he and palmer came to indy to watch manning and harrison work out? palmer knew what chad was thinking all the time so when palmer went down with injury chad's production dropped. chad need practice with the qb and shown how to run the route not shown on paper. he might not have the speed he used to but i bet if you let him play ball like he knows how he will be great once again.

ESPN analysts still have us with 4 wins this coming season...
..I think that estimation will go up as they focus more
if we only get 4 wins with this weak of a schedule and just think of how many games we could have won last year if the head coach was actually a coach instead of a statue. this team even after getting rid of the guys who barely played last year is better and i can see this team being easily a .500 team at least. we were so close to beating the steelers with a bad offense a bad defense and curtis painter coming in to play.

Have you guys seen the reports on his low football IQ? Pretty much just freelances out there. Not exactly a good fit.
hes not that great of a route runner but he isnt a system WR in that respect. if you look at his numbers when they were great. it was when he didnt go by a route but was told just to get open and the qb will throw to him when he was open. why do you think palmer and him had such great chemestry cause when palmer got into trouble he could just throw the ball ocho's way and hed catch it. BB tried to make him a route runner which he isnt. he is a play maker and if you put him in that role again he will succeed again. that is my two cents. tj housch is a route runner and he isnt producing like he should either.

i know alot of people not expecting much out of this team but with a new defensive scheme (one we have been screaming for the last 5 years) and a new offense combined with not only a new qb but a few of his weapons as well being brought in i can see this team sneaking in a ten win season suprising everyone including the texans and taking back the afc south crown at least for this year hehe

im a major gamer i watched all the reviews and such for e3 and the onet hing they kept harping on is the rag doll type physics. other then that they say the game is exactly the same as last years. but if they added something then they took something away. to me and for years ive said i want more physical similarities to the game from real life. like sideline catches, one handed grabs, etc. but they have yet to do this in the madden game.

notice the last rookie hehe superbowl his rookie year. so according to this list rookies dont do well first year? looks to me like there are rookies that do awesome first year. unlike the panthers we have still some great players on this team. the ones let go really didnt play that many snaps last season. everyone we pretty much kept played the entire season. i can see us making the playoffs and end up shocking the world heheh
