  1. hence the "widely expected" comment. but still.......

Yea, its obviously worrisome but cmon guys give the guy a break. It's been a crazy offseason, he had twins, the lockout has kept him out of complete contact with his team and trainers. Who's to say they didn't want him to have his surgery because he entire rehab would have been with outside doctors, where as when they saw the lockout was coming close to ending is when they jumped on it. Rehab is a huge part of recovery for normal people, can only imagine how important it is for million dollar athletes.

All I'm saying is yea he's not practicing and the Colts organization isn't really giving us a definitive answer assuring us he'll be back; but its Peyton Manning, he WILL be back, and our season WILL be good. Smoke & daggers, smoke & daggers.

  2. There's one prophecy come to pass, and here's another:

Painter will have his worst game yet against the Packers. He may not even start.

And smitto will STILL most likely defend him.

Kind of reminds me of Wyle E Coyote trying to get the Road Runner... It's just not going to ever happen, and it always makes Coyote look dumb for still trying, but he still tries anyways... He just doesn't get it.

Wyle E Coyote actually did catch the roadrunner in one episode, its pretty comical if I remember correctly.

  3. With Gonzo and Collie seemingly beat up all ready no wonder the Colts are looking at bringing in TJ. White is all ready on the PUP list so he will be gone for like 6 weeks. We definitely need another guy in there.

Unspecified knee injury and the Colts does not go well together. Anytime the Colts are being secretive about an injury it sends up alarms.

They have the option of taking White off the PUP list at anytime during the preseason, same goes for Manning. If he starts the season on the PUP list than you have to worry.

  4. Jim Irsay tweets Manning’s 2011 cap hit is $16 million. $7 million under franchise cap hit.

    My link

+1, Irsay wasn't saying this year Peyton was getting 23 mil, he was saying that Peyton made it very cap friendly by getting it knocked down to 16 mil from the price of the tag (23 million).

With the signing bonus split among the years, Peyton will actually receive 24.8 million however only 16 counting towards the ~123 million cap. =)
