  1. Mine came in the mail about 3 weeks ago. I ordered it from the Colts Pro shop the day after the draft. Ended up getting a 15% discount with a AAA card plus they had a bunch of clearance jerseys (I got a Adam v, 2 of Collie and one of Wayne) plus the Andrew Luck jersery all for aroun $185 total. I must admit, I like the old style jerseys better than the new Nike ones. But anyway, I did want to have one of the very first LUCK jerseys hoping it will be as precious as if I had gotten one of Peyton the day after he was drafted.

  2. I haven't been this excited for school to be out since the time I was still a student. Now if the contract comes through in the next 24 hours, we can all really celebrate and officially welcome Andrew to Indiana and the Hoosier state. Gee, I wonder if we can convince him to be an IU Hoosier fan as well. If not, perhaps a Butler Bulldog fan would do.

  3. I am a first time season ticket holder (and I wasn't on the waiting list). I called the first day the Colts site released that tickets were available. They called me back two days later and I got tickets in Section 451. I was thrilled -- would have taken better ones, if they had them but this was the best available and then after Andrew officially became our first pick, I was even more thrilled. Can't wait for the games to begin. My only regret now is that I'll miss a bunch of weeks of the NFL REDZONE. Best thing to come along since football.

  4. I was watching the game when Andrew caught the "catch" and knew right then if we had to loose Peyton, Andrew would do just fine. It truly was some "catch". Can't wait for the season to start. BTW, watching the news reels of Peyton in Indy yesterday, it really seems OK how everything turned out. Peyton will always be a colt in my heart and to hear him praise Luck did it (my heart) much good.

  5. I can honestly say, I am totally amazed at how excited I am for this draft day. We Colts fans had become accustomed to having such great players on our team that draft day was more of a "watcher of what other teams do" than our own excitement. This isn't quite as exciting as pre-super bowl jitters. Nevertheless, it is fun. Can't wait to see Andrew put on the Colts geer in front of the nation and for the OFFICIAL LUCK era to begin. GO COLTS.

  6. As a new ticket holder, I was not given the option of purchasing tickets in the loge or street-level sideline or corner. The best offer I was given was in the loge level (under the window) in the end zone. What is seems like to me is that the people who didn't renew had tickets in the not-so-popular places and the new offers were not as good as the seats people wanted to move to. Just my thoughts on what happened. I don't think any of the good seats were available to the new ticktet holders.

  7. I'm a first time season ticket holder as well -- got my tickets Friday. I am in section 452, row 15 and I can't wait for the season to start. In the meantime, GO PACERS. Pave the way for Indy teams to go far in the play-offs once again.

  8. I am a totally brand new season ticket holder. I was not even on the wait list and just got tickets in section 452 row 15 for $790/ticket. I really can't believe it since I've been trolling the ticket exchange for months looking for the right "transfer" to purchase. Definitely glad I waited. Just received the call from the Colts ticket guy a few minutes ago. So now the long wait for the season to start. Very happy that at least the Pacers are playing well enough to fill some of the void.

  9. Has anyone heard if Andrew made it to the Redskins for a visit? I can't find anything that references if he went and how the visit went. The only thing I could find even in the DC newspapers was from April 10th referencing his "planned" visit. I would have thought they would have some report on what the visit was all about.

  10. I don't think we will EVER know for sure what went on in the discussins between Peyton and Irsay. At first, I was very angry with Irsay for not keeping Peyton but more and more I think it may have had to do with Peyton really not wanting the Colts to draft Luck. In which case, Irsay may have graciously given Peyton the opportunity for an out by releasing him. Peyton's comments yesterday made me think that the only thing on his mind at this time is winning another Super Bowl THIS YEAR. And let's face it, the guys already on our team are the ones who went 2-14 last season. Without major changes at other roster spots, with or without Manning, with or without Luck, it (Super Bowl) probably wasn't going to happen. The more I think about it, though, I think it might have come down to Peyton not wanting us to draft Luck. After all, it was his daddy who first started the rumors that Luck should not have to sit a year. And we fans, who now are mad at Irsay for letting Peyton go, are the very same fans who were chanting "suck for Luck" and even wearing "12" Luck jersey.

At any rate, I'm glad that the pursuit of Peyton is over and that tomorrow we will have our own excitement at Luck's pro day. And yes, I will ALWAYS be a Peyton fan as well. BTW -- GO HOOSIERS, skin the CATS.

  11. I was/am a HUGE Reggie Miller fan and he was one of the prime reasons that I started following the Pacers, just as Peyton was a prime reason that I became a Colts fan (OK, and also because in the days of Mike Davis, my IU HOOSIERS were starting to be pretty boring and the Colts were a fine fix for my sports appetitie. Since Reggie retired, I continued to watch (and follow and attend games, etc) the Pacers even if it took until the last half of last year for them to become truly watchable. This year they (Pacers) have finally become fun and so have my Hoosiers (finally). Those two teams have helped me get through our very sad situation with our Colts. If Peyton does retire, or even goes and plays elsewhere, I will still continue to follow my COLTS, attend their games, root for them, etc. though I am prepared that it might be the same "woeful watching" that I experienced with both the Pacers and Hoosiers. And I will also remember how much fun it will be when the COLTS once again return to their glory (which will happen, with or without Peyton). I'm still very much hoping, thought, that he is with us for at least another couple of years and retires as only a Colt.

  12. He might not need one (Luck-mentor) but we can ALL benefit from one. I personally will love to see both Manning and Luck in a Colt's uniform working together for victory. If it turns out at the end of next year that Manning in fact does have several more good years in him, trading Luck can then be considered, IF he seems unwilling to continue sitting behind Manning. What a great time to be a Colts fan. Never thought I'd be this excited for the off-season.

Oh by the way, I am rooting for the Broncos for the super Bowl. I know that's a long shot, but what the heck.

  13. Doubt if we could be any worse either but seriously doubt if at this point we would really be any better. Therefore, let's just stay the course and eagerly await the changes that will happen after the season ends. A reason for us fans to get off the FIre Caldwell, Fire Polian bandwagon (even though I do believe they must go, either both or one or the other) is that it makes it harder for Irsay to do the right thing while his people are being pounced on. Irsay is not so stupid that he needs us to tell him just how bad things have gotten-- I think he know that quite well. But I know when my kids were little and were behaving poorly, if others came along to tell me of their bad behavior, my natural reaction was to negate the extent of punishment I was ready to dispense and stick up for them in the area of public opinion. I think it's not that much different with an owner and his hand-picked employees.

  14. After yesterday's firing of Kansas City's and Miami's coaches, I found myself very proud of Jim Irsay for NOT firing Caldwell before the end of the season. At this point, nothing would be gained. I believe that any coach that is availalbe has a much better idea than any of us if Caldwell is a stayer or a goner (parden the made up words) and that the idea of coaching Manning/Luck is far more desirable than going to Kansas City or even Miami. But, why in the world do we want an owner who would discredit his team (yes, coaches and front office are part of the team) when an off season move is so much less shameful to those involved. I have been appalled at how John Elway has maligned his quarterback in the press -- made me proud that our owners/front office keep their criticism private and not aired out. In the same way, I am now proud that Irsay is NOT making any major moves at this time. Oh by the way, our HOOSIERS are finally ranked. Can't wait till next year when our COLTS make their resurrection once again.

  15. After listening to the interview on several different news feeds, I think this again is the news media taking one comment of Archie's and blowing it way out of proportion. Archie stammered as he answered and was not as definitive as these news stories seem to indicate. It sounded more like "well maybe this is the way these guys think" instead of "this is what's happening". Much can be read into it. Maybe Archie is just a regular parent like the rest of us who sometimes imposes his own feelings onto his sons. As it is, these were more like "maybe" thoughts rather than "for sure". I felt better about the whole mess after actually hearing Archie rather than reading the news media's blown up take. Again though, these are all things none of us, including the Polians, have any control over ie how Peyton and Andrew feel about the situation, and therefore thankfully not for us to decide. GO COLTS. and by the way, GO HOOSIERS beat Kentucky and show the world that Indiana sports are not dead, even when the Colts are 0-12.

  16. Here's a link to an article where Archie Manning gives his take on Peyton/Andrew together:

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/06/archie-manning-doubts-that-peyton-and-andrew-luck-want-to-be-teammates/related/

Doesn't sound like he thinks it would work. That's too bad for those of us fans who are hoping for the best of both worlds. Oh well, I guess it's best not to fret over those things we cannot control. Let's just keep hoping and praying for a speedy FULL recovery for our main man Peyton.

  17. He IS getting better in spite of having to listen to constant yapping about how bad he is. The way he has handled himself in the face of all the Tebow hatred has been remarkable for such a young man. I'm more impressed with how he's continued to flourish while having to deal with all the critics than even his football skills. GO TIM and yes, GO COLTS. It's been particularly fun to watch him this year when we COLTS fans have had very little else to cheer about.

  18. Have you tried getting tickets in the lower level from StubHub? I just checked them out and there are several options available in the 100/200s with up to 6 tickets together and they are really reasonably priced. I've used stubhub for Colts tickets on several occasions and been very pleased with the results. I agree with Coltsagent-- there is a huge difference between the 600's and 100'2. Another possibility would be tickets in the 300/400s-- those are very good as well.
