I was close, I was saying for the last 2 months we should and probably would sign him for 3 years for 39 Mill, with 25 Mill guaranteed. He actually got 3 years for 42 mill, 26.5 guaranteed. I never thought he would be traded either. Now we can take care of business and put this silly distraction behind us.
You wouldve won most price is right showcase showdowns. Congrats

Its a long year and there is alot to look forward to. Weve got alot of things going our way, even if we dont win a superbowl. Colts took a couple (or more) huge steps forward. Coaching goes along way and we gotta GREAT ONE. Nothing would completely shock me at this point. Go Colts

For his standards it was a very average game. We pressured him well though. When Tucker came out to kick that 61 yarder at the end of regulation, I couldn't even watch. I was just thinking, this guy is money and he has made 1 from 66 before. When he missed, I was thinking finally the Football Gods are on our side for a change in these close games. Then when the interference wasn't called in OT, I was like we actually got a call?? Because we never get those calls on the road against good teams.
Its gameday, and ive already started going on about field goals, reich drove me crazy with his stuff, no more run of the mill going for it on 4th. Our guys need to know it means everything going for it, field goals will support a deeper feeling of going for it on 4th down.

Winning last week makes for losing against Jacks. I thought we would lose last week. That was a gigantic win.
Lamar jackson played a horrible game. Did u see his media availability? He was laughing, blowing it off, not taking any accountability. It looked silly of him really

Field goals are just so critcal, they make a huge difference, as far as score, keeping pressure on the opposing team, and is a huge confidence builder.

Me too, if our defense and SP teams keeps playing the way they are playing and AR even plays above average ball, we can win 8 or 9 games. We will see how the next 2 weeks go.
The first game got me worried, i mean we almost jaxsonville. I like this coach calling for field goals. Belicheck kicks field goals to keep his team in the game, ALWAYS.

Only time will tell but Shane may be the best coach we have had since Dungy. He made Harbaugh look bad last week (he outcoached him) and to me Harbaugh is a top 5 coach in the league.
Steichen gives me hope for a really good year this year. Fine post

It wasn't "the hit" that caused the concussion - it was the "whiplashed" way he hit the turf.
I liked how jackson got low when he was in danger of getting tackled. That would help ar if needed. And not run so lanky and get a hold of himself. He'll get it, and i think he really has a future. Needs to tighten up major.

We keep getting to the qb and our cbs will shine this year

Right this isn't college football.
Colts only have to worry about being in the top 7 in the AFC
This was inspiring, thank you

Hes got great talent as a runner, but he definately needs to learn how to use it properly. Id never take a hit unless it was 3rd down. Plus most cb's would obliterate me. Blown up, blood and body parts everywhere kinda way.
-
Im not a huge football fan but im still impressed how well ar played today. Considering how dangerous a runner he is, itd be cool to see some "controlled chaos" to keep the defense guessing. Deeper dropbacks and designed out of pocket scrambles, it was his first game but i think this team and alec pierce could benefit from some well designed backyard football.

I think Steichen kept going for it on 4th down because he was confused. He thought people would get a free Big Mac for every field goal we didn't make.
We left 6 points on the board and lost by ten. We could have kicked a field goal with 2.5 minutes left. Defensive stop, and another field goal, games ours. Man jt should feel like % for not playing today, he owes ar a serious apology.

Were going to find ourselves in alot of ties and 4 point leads if we dont use our kicker.
-
3 points is 3 points but it can demoralize the other team. I was glad to get rid of reich, but we arent kicking field goals. Respect the game, belicheck takes every field goal he can get and it works out very well.

What an amazing game, the new qb is amazing but i wouldve liked to see some deeper dropbacks to open up the offense. Make the other teams defense earn it.

The simpler you make things, the easier it becomes, get it done.
-
Learning to pass good should be a simple process. Its called focus and knowing where your recievers going to be. Being patient and hurrying at the same time will get it done.

Being an hourly worker that has not lived up to my full potential. I will say more times than not, the workers right. Its not very flattering to me when someone complains about making x-millions of dollars, but its also unflattering when u write a guy off for being a rb. Jt needs to prove himself more (maybe). A great year is just ok. This is a team sport, and the staff needs to be open about his worth, because there is always talk about rbs being expendable, and that can be hurtful. Jt means stuff to me so I assume that's full circle, I hope he is being a team player. You don't want to be like that Pittsburg rb, is all I'm saying.

I've been lucky enough to have read Kravitz stuff in the star for most of my life. After this I'm not supporting the Athletic anymore.

I mean, the article suggests that we should be listening to SS about what it takes to develop young QBs, like he has a 25 year track record of doing it.
He worked with Herbert, probably one of the smartest QBs to enter the NFL since Luck. For one year.
And Hurts ( who is also considered very smart), where his performance coincided with other positive things besides SS. For one year.
No. I'm asking what credentials does SS have in being considered an authority on young QBs at this point in his career?
Edit: While I haven't posted much since the end of the season, I read the forum daily. This slow period has digressed into the usual circle of homers patting each other on the back trying to one up each other on how wonderful everything Colts is, and criticizing any comment that enters their circle with a different opinion. Sorry to make some points that deflate their High.
SS is more than likely one of our best free agent (i guess) signings since buckner
