Byron Murphy becoming popular pick for us. Is he a generational talent?? AKA, Donald. Not quite sure how I would feel about this pick honestly.

I have noticed this too, nothing against Murphy he is a good player, but I’m hoping for a WR or atleast the TE Bowers.

Ballard's type of gamble is trading up from 44 to 41 for Jonathan Taylor. For measely 5th rounder. Him giving up a day 2 pick... let alone an additional 1st rounder for a single player just seems all wrong and against his nature. I agree with you that there are certain chances he has to go for and go against math with, but... it just doesn't seem like this is one of those cases. :dunno:

I wonder if Nabers is there at 9 and the price is a 3d... would he do it?

I don’t see Nabers getting past the Giants at 6.

In 2011 Falcons selected WR Julio Jones with 6th overall pick from Cleveland Browns, giving up a package of 5 draft picks … Atlanta's No. 27 overall 2011 1st round pick, their 2012 1st round pick, 2011 2nd & 4th round picks, & a 2012 4th round pick. Ergo, there’s precedence.

I remember at the time thinking Atlanta was crazy to give that much up.  I also remember thinking a couple of years later, Falcons have a star receiver, one of the best in the game, so did giving up so much really matter?

I also remember the hype surrounding Julio Jones at his time of being drafted, and he was NOT touted as being as sure fire as Marvin Harrison Junior currently is.  Also note, if the Colts trade up, the team dropping down is not dropping down as far as Cleveland did back in 2011 (6 to 27) as compared to, say, 4 to 15, so it might not cost quite as much as Atlanta gave up.

i am inclined to say pull the move up trigger.

Gotta have a trade partner.Big ? Is would Arizona trade back that far knowing they’re gonna miss out on one of those top 3 Wr’s.I would also call New England and Los Angeles too.I don’t see MHJ getting past the 4th pick unless a Minnesota or Denver trades up for one of those top QB’s.I also don’t see the Giants if they stay put at 6 not taking Nabors I think that’s who they got they’re eyes on with that pick.

I honestly don't think Harrison is that much better than Odunze or Nabers. I'd wait until the first two (of Harrison, Nabers and Odunze) are gone and move up for the last guy. Possibly be content with Bowers if he's still available, but I can't really decide on that. Bowers is basically a WR occupying a TE spot - he's not much of a blocker. Is he worth a top 15 pick for being a WR?

I’m not as big on Odunze as most people,to me there’s 2 dominant WR prospects..true number 1,s.I really hope the Colts can land either MHJ or Nabers they our both big time players.I really think we have to get to 3 to have a chance at MHJ I don’t see him getting passed Arizona. As for Naber’s I don’t see him getting passed 7 with Tennessee and maybe even 6 with the Giants.

    Lol, no.

The most far-fetched thing I could imagine happening is Irsay overriding Ballard and trading a % ton of capital in order to get MHJ.

I could see this happening not for the 1st overall pick with the Bears, but if MHJ is sitting there at 3 or 4 and we had to give our 15th pick,2nd round pick and next years 1st ,I’m doing that all day and I hope Mr Irsay says the same thing.

Yes. We need a Great wr imo.

I hope just for once Ballard is aggressive and trades up..MHJ is a true number 1 and would make our offense lethal.I figure we would have to trade up to atleast the 4th pick with Arizona to get him, would take a lot but imo MHJ is a true playmaker and maybe the best player in this draft.

I have 2 topics in 1 post. This year more than ever the refs are controlling the game.  Those back to back calls  at  the end of the game were 2 terrible judgment calls.  Then look at the Steelers game. Last week the browns vs 49ers. I could go on and on. The league wants 9-8 and 8-9 teams, and traditionally the more popular teams get the controversial calls. Pittsburgh, k.c. patriots, cowboys, bucs when Brady was there.      The other topic has anyone else noticed during every broadcast adam archuleta continues to disrespect the Colts and never says anything positive,

It doesn’t surprise me,the media loves to bash us when they have a chance

Tanking for what though?  They don't own their 1st or 2nd rounder next year.

If they are tanking it would be for the highest 3rd rounder possible lol.

I think the Broncos have their 1st round pick in the next  years draft, last years 1st went to Seattle, but as of this week they’re projected to have the 3rd pick.
