Our WR core is made of glass and I am not the bashing type. I love the Colts but they are. TY and Ebron out, Campbell out, Rogers out after 1 play. Tired of it. You get paid millions a year, play or retire like Luck did. Funchess breaks his collarbone, that is a 2 month heel with him it is a year I guess.

And it doesn't stop on offense. Look at the same thing on defense.  Seems the draft picks are fast and fragile.

  2. I think the Colts have had ample time to see what they have with JB and with BH.  They should start CK the rest of the season to see what they have with him.

JB's performance has hurt his trade stock, and it is obvious he is a back-up at best.  He cannot beat anyone with his arm or legs.  BH is a veteran back-up who can win, or lose games for you on any given day.  Neither one can carry a team.  It is time to find out if CK should be kept, or released.

The Colts will have won too many games to get one of the top QB's in this years draft, and I agree that, "political correctness" will play a large part in the retention of a QB for next year.  But objectively speaking, a new starting QB is necessary.

  3. It seems I am not allowed to make a new post so I will make this statement here.  An open plea to Chris Ballard; Please do not add any diva's, or character questions to the team.  Please do add high character, high effort players.  Questionable character or effort players seldom benefit the team.  There effect may not show up immediately, but it will infect the team.  Please make the Colts great again!

  4. Wow!  I have been a pro football fan since the mid 60's and I cannot remember a more inept performance by a supposed "pro" football team.

I do not want to hear about all the new players needing to jell, first game of the season, road trip, non-conference team crap.  This was a football game that counted.  It was not only a loss, but an embarrassing loss.

While I was a critic of Grigson, this team (?) almost makes me long for the one that was discarded by Ballard.  Change for the sake of change?  I have supported Pagano vocally, but this coaching staff did nothing to silence their critics.

I never paid much attention to the talking heads in the media, but it seems they might have been right about this Colts team.

I would wager Luck's shoulder is a little worse this morning.

    Round 1 - Defense

    Round 2- Defense

    Round 3 - Defense

I love Ballards thought process. Fix/repair the defense so the offense doesnt have to try to score 40 points in a game to win it. And even got a talented running back to to take Gores place at some point.

I am concerned, as I was with last year's draft, that these players will have contracts that expire at the same time.  I hope that in time the Colts will be able to balance the draft choices so that the best player available can be selected.

An 8-8 team is not near as bad as you claim it to be. There will be quite a few of present players on the roster that will stay on this roster. It is not all doom and gloom as you suggest.

8-8 in the AFC South is pretty bad.  Take into consideration the nearly universal opinion of those that are so called, 'experts', that Luck helped to mask a bad roster of players.  Besides Luck, can you think of any of the players from Grigson's drafts, or trades, that would be considered a dominant player at their position?

Banner will be interesting to watch, guy is a monster.

I agree with your assessment of Banner; he will be 'interesting", until he is cut.  Everything I understand is that he is just like baby's daddy; large, soft, and no passion for the game.

While I like your positive outlook lets be realistic. It has yet to be determined how this draft is going to turn out. As far as Grigson's mess as you call it, this roster is full of players brought in by Grigson and they will contribute to those wins you speak of.

Grigson did create a, 'mess', one that will take time to overcome.  As to the, 'full' number of players he brought in, that is why the team was bad.  The purge of Grigson's mistakes has been an ongoing project.

  9. Agreed, that we must wait to see how these pick perform (if they make the team).  But on paper, this draft looks better than anything Grigson ever did.  My concern is taking Bannner.  Everything I have been able to find indicates he is like his baby's daddy; large, soft, and no passion for the game.
