I think he's saying he want's Joe Burrow, which is totally fine to want. If the Bengals would take 13 and the best Guard in the NFL for the rights to Burrow, given where the Colts are.. I'd do it in a second to be honest, if Burrow is going to pan out as expected- its a risk and I'm noticing general risk aversion around here (maybe not though- some people would play Madden on Rookie and GM this thing). Guards don't win Super Bowls.

Yeah I get that, and I was really just joking. It's too much to give up in my opinion. He could turn out to be a superstar, sure. But we know what we have in Nelson. a 2x First team all pro Guard who is going to play a lot of good football for a long time. I just dont think the risk/reward is high enough in my opinion of course.

So I was listening to a podcast from stampede blue and they mentioned a funny scenario if the colts played NE in the playoffs. Brissett Beats Brady and the game ends on a Kenny Moore Interception on a pass to Dorsett. That would be the ultimate revenge.

"It's intercepted! Moore's got it! We're going to the Super Bowl!"

If Hoyer either starts a game, or has to play significant minutes, the Colts will lose this game. Hoyer is a bad, turnover prone, never very good NFL QB. Why even take the chance of having to play him? Ballard should cut Hoyer and find another backup QB. Chad Kelly or someone else would give the Colts a better chance of winning if they must play.

Based on what exactly? Kelly beating up on scrubs in the preseason? I'm optimistic about Kelly but he hasn't played at all against starters. It's literally about as annoying as the media hailing the Patriots as legendary this year when most of the teams they have played are on par with IUPUI or the YMCA.

    Just...stop.

  4. Meh, let them talk. To be fair, we are still a young team with a lot to prove. Jacoby has been good so far but he isn't Andrew Luck. You take that factor away from our team and it will cast doubt among the talking heads who don't follow the Colts 24/7.

    1-0.

  5. That's tough, and you never know that scenario could very well happen. People unretire all the time. Right now some may say it's Lucks team, but if Jacoby really had that kind of a year, us actually watching it happend, would sway most people to keep Jacoby and trade Luck. Tough scene.

Hes gotta earn the Captain title, being he was basically 2nd in command behind Luck, the Lieutenant thing fits.  I just hope he's better at navigation than most Lieutenants (Vet joke)

Nah, the LT is lost. he's gonna get hypothermia in the wilderness.

Maybe it’s the history buff in me, but in the civil war African Americans fought, and fought hard but none were officers..

But then why is it @captainBrissett??

That's what I was initially getting at lol
