  1. Also had seasons tickets in the RCA Dome, the dome seemed to be great every game. So much louder in the Dome, but Lucas Oil is a lot nicer just doesn't get as loud.

Last year the Texans game at home was a great one crowd was in it the whole time and against the Titans when Brown had his long run the place went crazy. It was really hard for the crowd to get into some of the games last year, though... lol

I was at both the Texans and Titans games and it was absolutely crazy how loud that place was. I have been to at least two games a year since I can remember and the Titans game last year was the loudest I've ever heard it. It was a great first-game for my then-5 year old son to remember!

  2. What if they moved to LA, called themselves the LA Centaurs, and wore lime green and brown? That would be a completely different team, but they would still be the same organization. I just don't get how people fail to understand, that some of us will continue to root for Peyton even in a different uniform. We're still Colts fans, but we also will root for Peyton. Each team's success does not help or hinder the other's.

Now you're talking about two separate things. It's different wishing Peyton well in his future career than to say you now have a 2nd team to root for. The thread is titled "Are the Broncos Your Second Team Now," not "Will You Continue to Support Peyton." For any Colts fan to say they would not like Peyton to do well is absurd considering all he has done for the team/organization/city. However, if he faces the Colts in the playoffs this year, in no way shape nor form will I be rooting for he and the Broncos to win. People are just acting like no team has ever had their star player be traded/released/retired. It sucks, yes, but it happens. Being a female and a Colts fan, I have to constantly defend myself when someone asks me who my favorite NFL team is because I always get the response that I'm a bandwagoner. Not the case at all, I was a fan way before PM was drafted. Now these Colts "fans" saying they're supporting a different or another team is ridiculous. I can take supporting Manning, but not supporting another team as a whole.

  3. I fail to understand this sentiment. Which is always conveyed with such confusion, like the writer cannot fathom someone loving NFL football so much that they may follow other teams as well as their main team. To provide an example; If the Colts left town, would you stop watching the NFL?

If the Colts left Indianapolis, I would follow that organization to whichever city they choose to move to. Just like my grandpa did when they moved the first time.

  4. One thing I hope doesn't happen is fans booing the new QB if he starts struggling, colts fans need to start turning into raiders fans..... support no matter what.

That was one thing that upset me the most at the Colts/Jets game in 2009. Sure, Painter was a horrible QB, but he was thrust into a situation beyond his control and all he could hear was the entire stadium booing. Regardless of the fact they weren't booing him, more of booing the decision to pull the starters with an undefeated season on the line, it had to play with the rookie's mind.

  5. Its like a breath of fresh air. Whichever way the decision went, I was just ready for it all to be over with. It just seemed as though our other players were getting disrespected in the meantime while this cloud hung over the organization.

Does it suck that we won't have Manning anymore, well of course it does, I'd be lying if I said it didn't. But does this come as a shock? Not really, we know QBs don't live forever and we couldn't afford him and draft another QB at the same time while trying to keep some of our other FAs.

Its sad seeing all the posts that are bashing the owner and organization over this decision. When shocking, dramatic, and drastic changes happen, there always has to be a scapegoat.

  6. You should change the title to "Thoughts of a True Peyton Manning Fan"

Yeah, I'm thinking us true Colts fans want to see whatever is best happen for our team. If he's not healthy, retaining him would not be in our best interests for future success. But most "fans" don't see it that way because they didn't become a Colts "fan" until Manning arrived.
