  1. Ahh I'm talking stuff like TYs route running saying it's been brought up numerous times on here... When it just hasn't been. With all due respect when you're a member since only July this year there's a lot you've missed since TY was drafted and if you've been on here before under a different name that's where suspicion arises as we've had a few "repeat customers".

The Oline might not be great, but in its defense it's never had a full injury free line up, you can't say Grigson hasn't tried to address it with picks and FAs it's just not always fell kindly or people have plain sucked (Samson?). I guess after the last two seasons you get used to not having an interior. Yes it's a concern but to bring it up again and again will just rile people, see also TRich :P

Fair point about your civility, but we have had "civil" trolls before and people's patience has been worn down a little lately and it's becoming harder to engage in an actual discussion. At least football starts soon so we begin arguing about real games!

I have never been a member of this board before. I did follow it as a guest for many months. I don't even know what they are all talking about. They accuse me of owning an RV and I don't and I never have. I'll keep being civil and I am not a troll. When this game is over, I doubt I say anything that will get people riled up at all other than I am not sold on our coaching staff.

  2. I'm really not sure what your angle is, you play the part of unbiased Colts fan with declared interests with Denver too, and you're posting is written in a style to seem entirely reasonable but you have made quite a few statements now that are shall we say massive reaches and in some cases just bizarre. You also seem to be quite selective in what you respond to when questioned. Especially about associations with former posters from the board trolling HOF :P

The idea of the Broncos winning is outlandish, a blowout is pushing it but not impossible.. but I mean come on, honest reread all your posts here and tell me you've not said some things that aren't just plain crazy.

Like what? The only thing I could see as controversial would be that none of the Colts WRs would start for the Broncos. I don't see anything crazy about that at all. I read what people said about TY and Sanders and I don't buy it. I think Sanders will fill Decker's shoes quite well. I think that having Nicks and Wayne back means that TY's numbers will come down to earth a bit. I want the Colts to win even thought I enjoy watching Peyton and the Colts. I am sure and I am sure the mods would much rather that this game not happen at all. There is just too much emotion in it for Colts fans and Peyton fans. You think the idea of the Broncos winning is outlandish, perhaps you meant not outlandish. The odds makers favor them but not by enough in my estimation. Is it crazy when I keep saying that oline is a franchise disaster waiting to happen? Have I not been polite to every poster even when they are rude. You have two people here who want to run out anyone who has a view different from theirs. I know I take some positions that are not popular but isn't difference of opinion what makes theses forums interesting. I disagree with you all of the time but I have thanked you for some of your comments and I have "liked" them. It will all calm down after next Sunday and we can talk for the rest of the fall until the playoffs about the Colts and Broncos without all of the emotion.

  3. We don't need to get sacks, just pressure and hurry ups. It be nice to get a good hit on Peyton as well. We need to have no fear of him running. If he tried he'll get hit and hit hard

Peyton doesn't run and who will deliver all of this pressure? If we blitz Peyton, well, that just doesn't work very well does it?

  4. he drafted 4 olineman in the last two drafts. he signed one of the best RTs in the game. what else do you want

I want to see Luck not taking those big hits and being protected. Too early to say about the draft picks other that where was all of that three years ago.?

  5. denver has improved on defense they say well so have the colts. the colts d line is better this year than last. also the colts have improved much more on offense with the return of d allen and ahmad bradshaw and the addition of nicks and moncrief. Broncos lost decker added sanders and latimer have a concussed welker lost moreno and are relying on ball who just came off a surgery. And lets look at special teams where prater is out 4 games holiday is not there to give big returns. I say the colts match up well to broncos given the circumstances. Also mannings arm strength isn't like drew brees so i'd expect our corners to fair better.

Ball's surgery was an appendectomy. He won't lose anything from that. Many people think that Sanders will be an upgrade over Decker. Latimer, like Moncrief, is a star in the making two or thee years down the road. I don't see the Colts additions being anywhere close to adding Ware, Talib, Ward and a good DB Ohio state in the first round of the draft. They also added Latimer and Sanders to the offense. Their all pro LT, Clady, is back and healthy. The Colts added players. The Broncos added stars.

  6. anyone else surprised grigs hasnt been making moves after the cuts? the only thing we've done is get shipley whos wearing 53 if anyone was curious

I don't care what he does unless it is signing some offensive linemen to fix something that has been broken for a long time.

  7. There is a reason why you are "Lone". I have read many of your post's and the majority are negative against the Colt's.... are you a fan of an other team ??

I am a Colts fan first and foremost but I think management has done a terrible job of putting players around Luck to protect him and I take them to the task about that often. They like to sign WRs, TEs and just about everything but world class linemen around a world class QB. I moved to Denver so I became a Denver fan especially when they signed Peyton. It is really that simple.

  8. I don't agree with him, but he's a member of the press saying bombastic things. Players take it more personally generally when it comes from another player, or management. I think it will be a very close game between Indy and Denver. Unlike Paige, I respect the Colts and pick them as division champions. 21 points against Andrew Luck, no way.

I think it will be something like Broncos 42 Colts 17 to 21. I think it will be a huge margin.

  9. I don't know about anyone else but I am completely sick of this story.  The Rams took a chance on the guy and he got beat out very badly.  I do not understand why ESPN and NFL Network are making the cutting of some marginal 7th draft choice one of their headline stories and keep repeating it every 15 minutes.  The Rams cut all 4 of their 7th rounders.  Almost every 7th rounder league wide was cut.  Why are they making such a big deal about this one?

He actually played pretty well. I am surprised someone didn't pick him up.

  10. What do you guys think?  Should the Patriots trade Brady after the 2014 season whether they win the super bowl or not?  He'll be 38 before the start of next season.

After the Logan Mankins trade to the Bucs it really brought it home how the Pats are all business and this off season is the most I've ever been hearing and reading the Boston media talk about "life after Brady" and asking when the Pats are going to move on, especially after drafting Garoppolo.

If I was Belichick I would do it, in the off season I would trade Brady and go with Garoppolo.

If Brady has a BIG season 40+ td's his stock will be up there and teams who are close to winning a SB and just need a QB would be willing to offer up some draft picks I think.

Teams like the 49ers.  If Colin has a bad year I wouldn't be surprised if the 49ers traded for Brady.  I always thought he'd finish his career with the 49ers his favorite childhood team.

If I were the Pats I also would trade Brady within the division to the Bills or Dolphins for a 1st or 2nd round picks because I think those teams are so bad and need many years of rebuilding they won't challenge the Pats in the few remaining years Brady has left.

Normally I would think you are correct but I think the owner wants Brady to retire a Patriot and he will. Also, at that age I can't see anyone giving up that much for him unless it was the one thing you needed to win a SB. The 49ers are already committed to Kap.

  11. What the heck? I never mentioned Luck. Ben is a two time SB champ and most certainly going into the HOF when his career is over and Sanders was a flop. TY did it the year before too. 7 TD's and over 800 yds receiving and Reg was healthy. You are the only person in the world who would take Emannuel Sanders over TY Hilton.

That isn't so. Peyton Manning would take him too. I thought you were saying that TY had already played with a HOF QB. I am not sure if Ben is one or not. I suppose he is with the two Super Bowl wins but he hasn't been anything special in a while.

  12. Oh come on now Lone... you're reaching a little here. You can't lay out your opinion of how Hilton/Manning would interact as a factual reason that he wouldn't make the Broncos team. Don't really get the poor route running comment, go back and look at the Seahawks game, TY destroyed Shermen with his route running. Not too many receivers  burnt RS last year... just saying.

Care to wager who graded out where in the WRs on PFF last year between Hilton and Sanders? Heck I'll even give you between Wayne and Sanders :P

No, Hilton had a great year. Care to wager who grades out the best this year? I didn't make up the part about poor route running for TY. It has been brought up on this forum many times.

  13. Will you stop acting the troll and pretending that you're a Colts fan? This lame act is old .

Why is it that Colts fans cannot handle the fact that one may be the fan of two teams in the NFL especially when one has a HOF connection with the first? What is wrong with that? I also keep an eye on the Texans because I think they are quickly going to be a force to reckon with in the AFC. Does that mean that I can't be a Colts fan? Where are these rule posted?

  14. He already played with a future HOF QB.

TY put up more yard in his rookie season than Sanders did any any season he played. Jimminy cricket man. If he was all Indy had after Reggie went down then that makes his 1100 even more spectacular. Sanders doesnt even crack Indy starting line-up. He is WR5 on the squad.

Now, you make fun of what I said and you are claiming that Luck is a future HOF QB. I love the guy and I think he is very good. HOF, get back to me in five to ten years. You over rate every Colts player as many here do. TY won't come close to last years numbers unless Wayne or Nicks goes down. WR5? Just look at the paychecks. Sanders is going to produce Decker like numbers for Denver even with the great receivers they already have. I just see TY as an undisciplined receiver, a poor route runner who popped up at a time when a real HOFer went down with injury. Don't you understand it, man, Peyton would bar-b-que this guy and drive him right off of the team. Both of the receivers we are discussing are in the perfect spot for them. Luck is a bit of an undisciplined gun slinger himself so he can play with a guy like TY and get good production from him. Peyton, the exact opposite, would not tolerate TY.

  15. TY Hilton has almost the same amount of yards as Sanders in half the years. And already has more career TD'S . You can have an opinion all right, but when its so flippin stupid expect to be called out.

Already signing Waynes retirement papers? I think I would wait on that.

It all depends on the system a player plays in and how much focus is on that player. Hilton was all the Colts had after Wayne's injury. They had to go to him often. Sanders played for the Steelers and their system doesn't allow receivers to post big numbers. Now, if Sanders comes out and scores 10+ TDs and gains 1000 yards this year and TY doesn't do that, will you think Sanders is better? I am not sure that would prove anything. Sanders is in a situation that is perfect for him with a HOF QB and the most prolific offense in the game. He is a good route runner (TY is not), and, like TY he has great speed. He is a little bigger and he is going to be the second or third option all year long. If the Thomas' are double teamed he could be the primary receiver. I do not think TY would play well with Peyton and his inconsistent route running would make Peyton look elsewhere which would lead to him being benched even if Sanders were not on the team. Luck is better equipped to deal with a free lancer like TY. I don't think TY will come close to his Rookie numbers unless Reggie is unable to play at his former level or someone or two someones get hurt.
