This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I suppose you could argue that it means Player A has played better than Player B assuming a sufficient sample size. But that difference doesnt really change anyone's argument here. The entire point of grading is to provide a relative means of comparison. That's true of any grading. If that isn't the purpose of grading then grading doesnt really mean anything at all and it's just a number. It is pretty clear PFF is trying to establish a means of comparison with their grades - especially between players that play the same position.

John Simon being cut does not make any sense unless he is injured. I am generally a fan of what is going on in Indy with Ballard and Reich but I do not like this move at all. Scheme fit, blah blah blah. The guy just made plays, I dont care what his "natural position" is. The Colts out-thunk themselves on this one. The Colts do not have the talent, especially on D, to let guys like Simon walk.

Malik Hooker ranked #5 rookie after 4 weeks according to NFL.com
trisca01 replied to Jared Cisneros's topic in Colts Football
Does anyone have any insight to how well Hooker has or hasn't played in between interceptions? It feels a little like he has been in the right place at the right time on a couple of those interceptions. BUT there is something to be said about being in the right place at the right time. Just curious if someone has been able to watch him a little closer than I have to see if he seems to be playing the position well? -
I'm not necessarily saying we should give up on Werner but, dude, you are delusional. Walden has played very well. Werner is not even in the same league as far as production goes. Just watch the games, it's not really that hard to see. Walden actually makes a difference. He sets the edge well and has pressured the QB a lot recently. Werner is the type of guy who always looks in position but never quite makes the play. He is always a step late.

Not only is he a great cover corner, he may be one of the best tackling corners in the entire league.

Patriots being investigated for Deflating footballs.....(Mega Merge)

I didn't notice anyone claiming that this was the reason we lost? In fact, quite the opposite. However, that doesn't make it okay. -

Wow... Getting a little stuffy in here. It was a joke people. I was yelling the exact same thing when it happened.

Our offensive line was pretty bad today (especially GC) - but why on earth were we not adjusting to the aggressive blitz? Luck and Pep should have been dialing up quick throws (slants, screens, short passes) to slow them down a little. I have only watched the game once but, aside for some complete blown coverages, the corners had some tight coverage initially for most of the game but Ben had way too long to throw the ball. A cornerback can't cover the receiver for 4+ seconds.
