  1. I'll reply to my own post here. If not for, at least one stupid play, this game could have been a Colts victory. Personally, I didn't like the onside kick either (even though that should have been our ball). So, take away those 2 plays, I'm not conceding the Pats were the better team. We played lights out a good part of this game.

If the pats don't throw a fluke pick 6 this wouldn't have been as close as it was. Goes both ways..... I agree we played them better than the last several meetings.... That's not saying much tho.

  2. The Patriots defense let up an average of 27 points between the Ravens in Hawks games. We agree they were awful vs the Ravens as the two picks that Flacco threw at the end were on him verses the Pats making a great play.

In terms of the Super Bowl, they were not awful but I would say below average to poor. They did start the game well but let up a TD with 31 seconds to play in the second half which was a game changing drive given they dominated the first half and were up 14-7 only to let the Hawks travel 80 yards in 29 seconds. In terms of the stats, the Pats gave up  a whopping 162 yards on the ground on 29 carries which is over 5 yards per carry. Atrocious. They let up pass plays of 31, 45, 33 and 25 so they gave up big chunk yardage threw the air which were key on every Seattle scoring drive. They did have a great fourth quarter with key stops and of course the pick at the end but Brady is the one that led the team back from 10 down to keep it a game at the end and he did so without any run game as Blount had 40 yards on the night on 14 carries.

As I said before, this was probably the worst performance by the defense in the post-season in all of the SB runs.

This is why I like to watch the games and not just look at a stat sheet. I saw the patriots defense come up with multiple, crucial 3rd down stops to keep the patriots in the game when the offense wasn't doing anything at all. As I said I'm not saying the defense played great, but they were definitely a big part of the win. The patriots don't win that game without the defense coming up with multiple huge stops, which they did. I just felt like you were trying to make it seem like the offense did all the work and carried the defense and that is just simply not true. I think both the offense and the defense showed up in the SB. Maybe not for the entire game, but when it mattered most, both the offense and the defense got the job done.

  3. No one has said it but the NE defense was awful in the post-season this year. Their only good game was the Colts. They average over a 100 yards on the ground vs both the Ravens and Seahawks and Flacco picked them apart until the final possession and Wilson hit several deep balls. Brady really saved the day all post-season. I don't know what happened but the defense might have played its worst post-season out of all the SB runs we have had.

I disagree, idk what games you were watching. I think the only bad game the patriots defense had was against the ravens. They weren't GREAT against the seahawks but they made more than enough important key stops to not be declared "awful". Do you not remember when the game was 24-14 and the patriots offense failed to score on their next like 3 drives? If the defense gives up a score on just one of those drives the patriots probably lose.. The defense more than held their own when they had to. That's not to even mention they were playing great to start the game too. The defense was a big part of that SB win.

  4. Players suddenly show their age . Guys like Gronk get injured. Teams shore up a few weaknesses ... happens al the time.Look at all the SB teams that don't make the playoffs the following year. But yeah.. they are better than we are as we speak. No doubt about that.

You can throw that stat out the window when talking about the pats. Idk if you've been paying attention, but they have made the playoffs every single year except the year brady went down. SB victory or not, makes no difference with that franchise.

  5. It's called satire. He's making the point that him calling for suspensions and firings is based on exactly the same non-evidence that Kravitz and Doyel had when they embarrassed themselves.

This is how I took it. If everybody can convict the patriots of this deflatgate story before any facts or evidence proves it then they can do the same thing right back at us. The only ball 2 psi under was the one the colts intercepted? The colts CLEARLY tampered with the ball! I demand a full investigation! Damn cheaters! Pretty brilliant stuff I think. Not that I believe any of this deflate gate nonsense to be true.. But you reap what you sow.

  6. The Pats played a stronger game, but they should have lost this one except for "the worst call in super bowl history".

If it weren't for the best catch in superbowl history the seahawks would have not even been in that position. They got a bit lucky there themselves. The patriots earned this one. They made just enough plays to win. To the original question, to me it hurts more knowing that 9/10 we are gonna lose to them again next season.

  7. So if Seattle gives the ball to Lynch and they score and New England loses, is Brady still the GOAT based on what happened tonight?

Depends on who you ask.... Now tho, there is no debate. Brady has his 4th ring, period. Its hard to argue against him being the greatest ever now.

  8. Did Seattle win? Yes. Did GB collapse in the last 5 minutes? Yes. Are most QBs who throw 4 picks gonna win the NFC Championship Game. Absolutely not. What in the world does style points have to do with anything?

Lynch saved Wilson's caboose in that game. Don't kid yourself man. Please don't infer that the Hawks played better than the Packers. They didn't. Seattle just got lucky. Plain & simple.

Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. The only thing that matters is seattle made more plays when it mattered than the packers and they won. Yeah, the packers played better for most of the game, so what? They didn't play well when it came time to close it out.. And they lost. Plain and simple.

  9. Seahawks won the SB already. No need to even play the game. NFL won't let pats win because of thier cheating ways!!

You make the NFL sound fixed. If I truly thought it was fixed I couldn't watch it anymore.....Also, the patriots haven't been caught cheating. Somehow people take "investigation" as "guilty". There's a very good chance the patriots come out of this innocent. I base this off belichicks press conference and science. Science backs up the theory that this could all very well have been a gigantic waste of time.......Well, I think it already is regardless.

  10. No, they didn't even deserve to win against Green Bay. In fact they looked terrible that game until the last 3 or 4 minutes when everything went their way, but yeah Wilson and crew will probably get a break or two, or get lucky here and there and pull out a win. Then everyone will be saying Wilson's the greatest ever blah blah blah. Dynasty blah blah blah. LOL I'm sorry, I just dislike Seattle almost as bad as the Pats. I just hope its a good game and not a blow out by either side.

Yes they did. They made more plays and scored more points than green bay. Style points are for losers.
