  1. I think I understand what BHC meant. I believe what he was getting at was the danger of elevating Andrew Luck to greatness too quickly on an NFL level. Does Andrew possess all the ingredients for becoming an elite QB? Yes, absolutely he does. Just be leery of bestowing greatness on Mr. Luck before he has really won a ring in the NFL, which I happen to agree BTW. Am I overjoyed that INDY has this German genius as our franchise QB? You bet your caboose I am.

Look, Andrew had a phenomenal college career & he is well on his way toward establishing a very impressive NFL resume. However, at the end of the day, Andrew's professional football career is still in it's infancy & I measure QBs by rings as selfish as that sounds I want sparkling diamond jewelry as a fan. Will Luck obtain that jewelry? I think so, but he doesn't have it a ring right now & much like LeBron James in the NBA before his 1st Miami Heat ring; I can't award Andrew Luck King status yet. That was BHC's main point IMO: Don't heap praise on Luck too early for what he hasn't done yet.

If I am incorrect in how I interpreted what BHC meant, so be it. BHC has nothing to apologize for in my estimation. Okay, maybe the 5 year old comment was a tad bit harsh, but you've got to digest what BHC was really saying: Luck is not a made man or SB Champion QB yet at this juncture. That's what he was getting at. Andrew's gotta earn that clout & praise the hard way not simply proclaimed elite before he has actually achieved that benchmark literally. JMO.

"... Give it up for our QB"--CR91 can be viewed 2 ways. #1: I am relieved Andrew Luck is our QB or #2: He meaning Andrew Luck has arrived. #1 is perfectly fine but #2 is dangerous because while AFC South titles are nice; They pale in comparison to a Lombardi trophy.

I respect both CR91 & BHC both wickedly smart people that just got their wires of communication crossed & confused briefly. I knew what you 2 meant. It's all good.  ;)

i think he just meant that it was a pointless post tbh. Nothing more, nothing less.

  2. Except that many say Landry plays free safety and not strong.    That Bethea played the strong.

So,  I'm not sure it's clear that we need a free safety?     Can Landry play both and move over to strong?    I don't know?

I'm only sharing what I've seen in several threads here on the website.....

We essentially had two strong safeties  starting last year

  3. thats assuming they are cut. He said when they are gone. Meaning their contracts have run out.

No, what i'm saying is (without seeing the exact contract details) that the broncos most likely handed out big signing bonuses to be able afford these big contracts in the first place. So even if these players don't deteriorate enough to get cut for their presumably high salaries towards the end of their contracts, the total cap hit from their signing bonuses plus their salaries will be quite hefty. This will restrict their ability to re-sign their own players in the future ( Von Miller, possibly even Brock Osweiler?) and force them to make very tough decisions. Unless one can draft extremely well, there will undoubtedly be positions lacking talent and depth that they cannot afford to fix.

    Thus, 'cap hell'

  4. Explain that to me please?   IF manning and brees are gone...then that saves them 20 mil in cap basically.  How is that hell?

They'll essentially have a heap of cap taken up by dead money from cuts as signing bonus money counting from previous years. They'll have no QB and a heap of expensive, over the hill players and not much cap room to be able to get those players off the books and get a decent replacement for them. They'll need to draft extremely well to be able to get through this period without having to go through a major rebuild.

  5. I'm from Australia, my brother and dad are Raiders fans. The first things i ever new about NFL (around 2004) was that the raiders were terrible and Peyton was a God. Also Blue and white were the colours of the team i played for in Aussie rules football. Ten years on and i couldn't be happier with my choice  :D
